A lesson to us all : she who looked so vain at first, with her whole Pilates girl beginning, has turned to be one of the best personalities ever on this show, with maybe Lauren from S1. Kind, mature, humble, very self-aware and graceful. She was the only girl on a season (with otherwise pretty much terrible personalities) I could see myself becoming friends with, even though we're very different, the way she handled SK's mom melted my heart. Definitely ready for marriage and commitment once her whole barrier went down, ready for a healthy and balanced relationship, much more than some of her showmates (I'm looking at poor Colleen), ready to compromise and listen. She deserves her own Cameron, at the very least, someone as kind and trustworthy as her.
And SK fooled all of us. It's sad that she should even blame herself when the entire world got fooled by his act - I would have never seen it coming either.
I wrote off when she was doing jumping jacks during a serious conversation but seeing her since has been eye opening
I always thought people were being ridiculously harsh towards her. There are so many reasons someone might need or want to move around even during an important convo. We had no idea how long they'd been in the room or in other rooms. You can't decide who someone is based on one scene like that.

Plus exercise can be used for so much more than just physical benefits - it can help regulate mood, relieve stress, etc. Dating is stressful. Dating on camera has to be exponentially more stressful. I thought the genuine negativity she received for this was so stupid.

Honestly, her testimony is going to be BEAUTIFUL. She went into Love is Blind so guarded and towards the end of it had everyone that was side eyeing her in love with her because she finally was being her authentic self without fear. Her dealing with someone as conniving as SK, the way that type of situation can really mentally fuck with you. All for her to come out of that genuinely optimistic about love and not jaded. She could’ve EASILY reverted back to her old ways. She passed the mf test. Her next one will be her best one.

What happened to raven scares me so bad.
Her whole closed off personality, that people take as negativity but in reality is just to protect herself. I felt that so much. People take me as a closed off but it comes from fear. I really thought their relationship gave me hope. And seeing what happened makes me scared to love. I feel you just can’t trust anyone and let those walls down.

Yes love is a risk. We can’t go through life guarded because we are afraid to get hurt. Life wouldn’t be worth it, I think raven gave me more courage than fear. She took what happened as a lesson and she understands that things like this are possible in any relationship. It doesn’t make them worth not having just to avoid pain. Love is amazing but also risky the best thing to do is take it day by day than assuming something aweful will happen.
The thing that makes me SO sad about this is Raven is a beautiful person inside and out. The fact that SK tries to drag her down towards the end saying he wasn’t “attracted to her” or “she wasn’t his type” is so wrong. Admitting to that towards the end is so disgusting on his part. He didn’t even have to take that extra punch and let her know that. If that was the case, he didn’t have to stay as long as he did. And honestly, Raven is out of his league looks wise. It’s ok to have a type but that’s such a front. I think he wanted to hurt Raven even more or justify his shitty actions because she’s GORGEOUS. She could be on a magazine for real. The fact SK kept secrets despite the fact his partner at the time was asking for honesty shows that Raven dodged a bullet. Raven is such a kind and strong soul; just because you're a strong person doesn't mean your strength should be constantly tested by your partner. Raven deserved a safe space and 100% honesty.

I’m glad this podcast answered all our questions of what really happened behind closed doors. The show didn't pay them. There's no money. He works in Tech. Maybe the thrill of being on Netflix though. They don't get paid to be on the show.
Yes they absolutely get paid. According to a former cast member it’s about $1,000 a week but they def get paid on all reality shows, pretty sure it’s a legal thing. It’s not a fortune but they def get paid @@OluwakemiAde

Most of them certainly have great jobs paying $1000 or more a day. $1000 a week would be a ridiculous reason to want to go on a show. They probably use that amount to eat out or buy groceries on a normal day.
@@OluwakemiAde I don’t know where you get this info but they do def get paid, there is even a legal lawsuit about it. A quick google search would tell you. The contestants and the show both have stated this so I don’t know why you’re arguing. It’s very well known and easily verifiable if your don’t believe me. They get paid because they have to have at least six weeks off work to go on the show. I’m not gonna argue the actual facts but you can literally Google it and even see the paychecks from some of the concert contestants that were showing how much they got paid

I never said they went on this for the money, that was the original poster. Natalie and others have said they got paid so much less than If they had just stayed at work. My only point was they do get paid to be there. All of this is very easy to look up so I don’t know where you’re getting your information but these are actual facts, so I’m done arguing with you.

@@shadiaali728 there's other signs hinting to something else going on, far past being a bonafide liar. From someone who has dealt with a narcissist, SK's personality is concerning. In public, he presents himself as something entirely different compared to the private.
I love how this podcast gives us a detailed vision of a person that is living in an abusive relationship without even knowing. It’s very clear when you are not in the relationship but when you’re part of it it’s so difficult to see the red flags and believe them.
I feel so sorry for Raven but happy that she is in a way better place now far away from all of this

I’ve gone through the same thing and hearing Raven’s recollection of all the lies and manipulation tactics from SK was truly heartbreaking, it brought back all the painful memories and humiliation.

This is my first time watching this show and I have to say I'm impressed and surprised. I came to for the Raven tea (which girl, my heart is with you on this one) but was so captivated by the honesty and compassion you show your callers and guests. During your interview with Raven, you largely let her tell her story unprompted which felt authentic. Then, when speaking to callers, you didn't jump in with your opinion, but led them to their own. I really enjoyed that you held your thoughts back for so long. It let your callers form their thoughts and set the stage themselves before you added your own influence. It's such a selfless way to give advice and I learned a lot from it.
Raven girl you are strong af coming into this and taking about it. It takes alot but just know we are all proud of you and hoping the freaking best for you dude. What a loss but just know, just know you’re only getting the best from this experience. Becoming stronger, learning more about yourself and loving yourself. Raven handled that with so much grace and didn’t get discouraged. I love that for her. At first she seemed standoff-ish but seeing her be real and vulnerable changed my outlook on her.
Side note: Can we please get Zanab on the show and ask her what she thought when she watched to actual clip of the cutie situation? I’m dying to get some type of read on her.

Raven ended up becoming my favorite person by the end of the season, and she’s so real and genuine in her work and platforms. She didn’t deserve the evil manipulation by SK. He honestly seems like a completely toxic person to be with. Screw his reputation. She came out winning in the end.

I remember being very frustrated to be even involved in so much ugliness. I hated that my story included so many yucky thing s because of my ex. Just a reminder that I’m what someone else does doesn’t reflect on you.

I suffered a lot of trauma as a child and then became a mother at 20. I got fed up with spewing my trauma on my child.
We started dialectal behavior therapy as a family and wow!! I am heeling my trauma and holding myself accountable as a parent. I hope my daughter can flourish and break the cycle of abuse!!

Crazy… I think a lot of people thought raven was a reach for sk, until we saw her come through. Who would’ve thought he was so manipulative and calculating. Raven is much deeper than we could see in the beginning. How brave and trusting of her . Mind blowing. Wishing her nothing but best. There are good people out there raven❤️
I spent 5 years with a compulsive liar. I totally get Raven, you want to believe and you want to see the best in people. But you don’t see it until you’re no longer in it.

Sk’s red flag for me was when he shared on the show that his dad was in a polygamous relationship. He low key is a polygamist but doesn’t identify himself as such which is deceitful and he made Raven and the other women believe they are in a monogamous relationship with him.
If I remember correctly, he flat out said that he wasn't like his dad. I honestly think that he mentioned it hoping that the answer from the other side would be a positive one.
