The Good, The bad, and the Ugly of "The Acolyte"

Unless you've been living under a rock for the last few months, you've probably heard a lot about the latest Disney+ Star Wars show The Acolyte. In this video, I share my thoughts.

Headland do not understand the Sith at all they are the villains trying to make them sympathetic victims but it doesn’t work because they would still do evil against others to feed the dark side that corrupt them plus it don’t allow loving relationships either they just killed them for more power it all about selfishness. Yeah she said some weird stuff like saying “osha killing her father figure sol is to gain her agency.” My god she sounds like a sociopath. Honestly this show is a bad introduction to the high republic Jedi they are not space cop hell I would argue we can’t blame everything the prequel Jedi for there fall the republic was already corrupted with different senators plus Sidious and the Sith plan to set them up to failed.

Totally agree. The High Republic could be so exciting and this show really was a terrible introduction to this new era of stories. And yes....Hedlend really needs some more therapy sessions before approaching another popular IP. She really cant stand the Jedi are the ultimate good and the Sith the ultimate bad. Im all for nuance, but this show really wants you to hate the heroes.
