Nope. If the current trends aren't enough of an indicator, its never going to make it's costs back in the slightest. If anything, its probably lucky to get more than 1000 concurrent players on launch.
As a Dragon Age fan I'm optimistically cautious, it's been 10 years, new bioware and a few poorly given and received titles. There's a lot of story and expectations riding on the RPG. EA has a track record off ruining studios and not knowing how to market games to their intended audiences. I hope that the new title will blend the past games with a fresh approach without projecting their own morals and values too much. The books and audiobook has been good, has me curious to see how they kick off a new decade. I hope the characters remember their past, I'm not blind to the odd marketing leading up to launch. The sour discourse between devs and players shouldn't have happened or the fact that a lot of players are raw and nervous about their beloved franchise. Here's to a good launch, for Makers sake two universes need a win.
If you order pancakes and are served a hamburger patty would you think its a pancake? Sure it looks like Bioware sure it looks like a pancake but it does not smell like a pancake nor does it taste like a pancake. So is it still a bioware? Is it still a pancake?
The fact the devs have taken any criticism and labeled it as incel, bigoted, or claim that its an attack on them, and insult the fans that want this game to be a success is a big red flag to me. My personal concern with the game is some of the style choices theyve taken with the enemies within the game. Such as the deamons and darkspawn. From what ive seen atleast.
That is a problem - the goofy changes to the enemies is a very strange one but some of these people who hate the game also say some dumb ish - No joke I sat there a watched a dude ask if "Neve" was a man because of her voice. Like what? There's Real women with voices deeper than Neve who are models Gal Gadot for example has a deep voice guess shes a man too? like if you hate the game atleast be logical about it. The Dialogue needs work in this game - Agreed - black elves get brought up alot too just for existing but the elves have always come in all shades since origins. The Darkest shade in Origins has many elves that color chop it up to technology limits of the time since the darkest shade in that game isn't as dark as Vivienne from inquisition.
@TeaTimeTable The only thing I don't like about the current cast is I think the design of Harding changed, but that could just be the art style. But the qunari is just terrible compared to other qunari shown in previous games. Now, the design might change by release, I don't know. But as a long-time dragon age fan, this game has me more worried than excited. I really hope it's good. But I'll wait till I see actual reviews from people I trust.
@Shadeius I guess the disconnect for me comes from the fact they changed between 2 and 3. Then again, between 3 and veilguard. I'm going to go back and play 3 again. So, the design going through 3 different art and design styles could be messing with my memory of their design. I looked back at the inquisition design. I think it's the art style. I don't think it lends itself well to their design in this game. That's just my opinion, though.
@@Fedaygin John Epler, Creative Director has been there 17 years. Mark Darrah worked on the original Baldur's Gate and was a consultant. There are other BioWare veterans, but I think I've made my point.
@@sofajockeyUK Yes you did & i did as well. Peace be with you & enjoy Exodus game coming from Casey, Drew & other el bueno developer + writer veterans 😏
The experienced and veteran devs have already left. Casey Hudson is long gone. These new devs are known to be WOKE and toxic positivity exist in the workplace so any criticism is impossible for them. I think Mass Effect is done long ago. Bioware is but a shell of its former self.
Baldur's devs are woke as hell and its still a very solid game with a ton of deserved praise, even from people who don't like the "woke" aspects. So nah, thats not the problem. The issue is one of character, not political or moral views. Bioware devs are childish hacks who are using woke stuff to shield themselves from critics, no more and no less.
Parasites hollowed out the corpse after its loving creators left to use it for their own means. That's all it is. People need to wake up from their nostalgic brand loyalty. All the people that made it good are gone...
There was hope with dread wolf and the me anouncment with Casey. But Casey left again. Dread wolf turned into veil guard, shit looks bad and so i have no hope for mass effect. Still there are good games, just started playing an amazing little game called Drova forsaken kin. It got me hooked. Great studious are still out there. Bioware died after inquisition. RIP.
Maker doomed this game. As someone who has played Origins, Dragon Age 2 and Inquisition, I have lost interest on this franchise after Inquisition. Bioware can burn down to the ground since its not the same company anymore
The "choices" everyone brought up were the same choice. You do something wrong and a lady gets beat up. "She still had the bruises!" As if that's an amazing accomplishment. Half these influencers sold out to Ubisoft. Not far fetched to think EA got to them
Why would you care if Bioware closes down? Bioware is only Bioware in name only just as Dragon Age is Dragon Age in name only. All the people who helped make the games we know and love have long since left the company. In it's place is a company filled with radical ledt-wing activists who hate most gamers and pushing their agenda is the highest priority! The game looks nothing like Dragon Age and is frankly nauseating! The studio is a walking corpse, completely out of touch with what most gamers want! They deserve to be shut down or go bankrupt, much like Rocksteady and Ubisoft. Vote with your wallets and avoid this steaming pile! Then perhaps this poison destroying gaming will end!
Every DA game was more or less what you call woke.Strong females characters, gay staff etc. I do not like art style, and I'm not impressed with combat, but until it's released it's too soon to get nuts. Also this fanatical political frenzy is equally tiring from both sides of your holly culture war...
It just blows my mind how EA can just sit there and allow this to happen. They saw with their own eyes what happen to Assassin's Creed Shadows, they've seen what happened to Concord, to Dustborn, to Unknown 9 awakening and yet, they just sit there in their ivory towers and just allow Bioware to craft their own destruction as if it's nothing. If i were the executive at EA i would be scared shitless right now because Bioware is about to cause us one of the biggest losses the company has ever seen,
But also remember how much BG3 was lambasted for wokeness until its success couldn't be downplayed. Then the narrative suddenly changed that woke elements were an afterthought (plot twist: they weren't).
I agree, I think ea know it’s doa, there’s no dlc planned, the marketing is just crickets compared to past , it’s like they’ve written it off before it’s out
What was woke about bg3? There were like 2 lesbians that i saw and everything else was up to the player? Also at no point in the game did i have to stop, roll my eyes and say "stop preaching at me" about gays or trannies or anything else like that so, what are you on about?
yeah cuz the game came out and people saw they were an afterthought and the game is amazing so even those more intolerant didn't really give a shitta anymore duh
Fun fact about ME3, is that the whole game was rewritten and tons of dialog was cut due to a massive leak of the games script the game ended the way it did and also explained the lack of dialog opions compared to 1 and 2.
Even like that is still a great game, never had a problem with the ending. I don't know how to wrap so many decisions for players. Could have been better, sure but the trilogy is the best we ever had for space opera game.
Yeah, I wish they had still gone through with the dark energy ending. Sure, we'd gotten more bittersweet endings, but they would have fit more with the lore from the earlier games.
@@Elora445 True, i'm agree but Drew leaved and we got Crucible choice... Hope Exodus will be great, check the game. Drew and old guard from bioware are there.
Game after the all the Patches is best ME game now. To think only the first game of the series. Can't wait for them to get on it and continue that incredible story!!!!
@@afk5860 I don't follow word of mouth. I do not allow others to influence me. I do not group just to fit in and go with the flow. I know people w/o the hardware to run ME:A at 4k, HDR and max graphics tend to like the older games in which, they can and ME 1-3 games they had more time in playing for they were younger than, later in life = When they do not have the time to play like they did with ME 1-3. I can play all 4 at 4k, HDR and at max graphics = 7800X3D + 4090 on an Asus PG32UQX Monitor. PC hardware does not influence me either. Max experience (Hardware) when playing all 4 ME games. Have no influence when playing those 4 ME games = ME:A is the best of the 4 with latest patch. ALSO, keep in mind, it is the first game of the series. ME:A is far greater than ME: 1. ME:A took down an entire Trilogy in the end........ once corrected with latest Patch.

when you put real life politics and your own agenda into the game, you can't expect it to succeed.. bye bye bioware. To me dragon age origins is the best bioware game and then comes mass effect 2, how far has the great one fallen..
@@Nahtan.9758 Why pretend to be ignorant about the overtly political agenda pushed by modern Bioware in Veilguard? Your hatred of DA:O combat is a minority opinion. There is nothing "ass" about a tactical auto hit with pause combat, it is just that you prefer action casual button mashing.
@@Teo_live can someone explain exactly what agenda is being pushed? Like, actually explain instead of just saying that phrase over and over? because right now to me it looks like a bunch of people are crying about a game having optional content that can totally be bypassed or ignored if chosen? the game isn't forcing anyone to choose to have top scars or anything like that, y'all just really hate the idea of it existing as a choice? Or am I missing something that's actually being pushed, aka unavoidable?
I mean it would be fine if they put it under "body scars" i think where it belongs. But to have a dedicated toggle or slider is just plain virtue signaling indcating deeper problems and raising questions that they either don`t answer or lecture you about.
Having a gendermancer as the lead on Dragon Age Failhard was all I needed to see. While I don't have an issue with "that" type of person, that type of person never leaves their ideology at the door. So you can be sure you'll see lots of lefty/gay/pandering crap in the game. Bioware died with ME3 imo. I wouldn't play the game if it was given to me.
And they can’t even pander right 😭. So exhausting seeing blatant and overly obvious bias in the messaging they try to put in the game. Obviously games can have a message, but it should be tactful, interesting, subtle, or at the very least good. Doubt they’ll deliver on any of that.
I've only ever seen this "type" of thing for character creation. Other than that, it seems good. I will likely wait for a sale, though, as I have so many games on my steam list that I save for sales.
I can't explain how deflated I'd be if the quality dropped that low. I pushed through Andromeda out of a love for the series and because I found the combat fun. Everything else fell flat. Veilguard needs to nail the story and characters. ME:A failing should've been pressure enough for them to deliver. We'll find out soon.
@@Wadenbeisser24 Thank all the gods and goddesses - someone else who feels the same about DA:I. I went directly from playing a MMO to playing that game, and it felt exactly the same, but worse. Worse because it was supposed to be a single-player game.
Apparently it's not the heads but it is the shoulders, everyones shoulders are far too small for their bodies which makes everyone very slight and child like. A consequence of trying to pretend humans are not a sexual dimorphic species and are just prepubescant boys instead, which unsettlingly these people argue is attractive.
I don't care if the sequel to Mass Effect gets cancelled. Bioware just is unable to make games anymore. Mass Effect 4'd probably be lame and super woke
Planning myself to replay DAI with such mods. I’m now on my Awakening playthrough after DAO (man, this game still slaps after all these years, hard to believe). Wanna share which mods I found to reduce grind here. Instant War table missions, instaloot without animation - saves time. More inquisition levels, new experience table - let’s you grind your level less and focus more on the main campaign. More Loot let’s you forget about grinding materials for crafting, no need to revisit locations just to kill some mob packs like in some shitty MMO. Same with Redcliffe Supply - now you can buy materials for crafting with gold. With mentioned earlier More Loot you will actually have some gold to spare for this. Mb there are some other mods to reduce the shitty grind wall about which I don’t know yet, but mods I just mentioned feel essential to replay the game, imo. Also there is a mod Bugs Be Gone, It’s like a community patch, very important too.
For being around 30ish years is a good run tbh, sad many companies may one day go the way of dodo but hopefully something rises from the ashes to correct the mistakes of their past.
And that folks is what happens when you fire all your talented devs, the game comes out and it sucks. They wanted to cut costs and will end up with a HUGE loss of money, I wonder when Execs will realize that you can’t make good games without good people.
I think corporations have always been able to abandon their old fans calling names or using mainstream media to get more progressive new fans in the past. I think the internet age has not allowed them to get away with their usual tricks easily as the old fans can offer substantial critique or being rather vocal online even when they are banned or targeted.
Yeah, I have more hope of whatever the EX-BIOWARE people make. Then of what CURRENT BIOWARE people make. Because Current Bioware is a hollowed out corpse. The writers, true artists, creators... long gone. Just because they have the brand Bioware doesn't means they know how to make good games.
It’s remarkable how keeping your mouth shut can take you a LONG way. lol I mean in regards to this now being “drama” and they’ve sort of exposed themselves
I cant say what will happen to bioware or mass effect but i will say that Vaile Guard will fail. It already has a lot of bad press and some of the things playtesters are saying about it are not good.
After ME3 and it's ending with Javik day one DLC ,I put EA on my personal black list with ubi and more companies. Man I save so much money with my sanity to.
I mean yeah... And ? 😂 It's roleplaying, you can create your character the way you want . More options for people don't mean less choices for you, that's a weird way of thinking imo 🤔😒 There are more to be concerned about... : Design looks Too cartoony imo. The combat seems to be full action instead of a mix of strategy + action. Dialogues ... I won't even talk about it... And only 3 choices from Inquisition imported so far... Soooo many REAL problems, so focusing on top scars you're not force to put, to not buy it is weird as f
@@jaxthedisintegrator8096 You CANNOT create any character you want, as the sliders do almost nothing and your in game choices are near meaningless. Top scars by themselves aren't inherently bad, but they are a massive red flag that shows the priorities of Bioware are about politics rather than gameplay. Adding emojis and calling criticism "weird" isn't going to change this game being a flop.
Like you, Lord Winship, I am simply looking at Exodus as a replacement for Mass Effect. In fact I don't even think about Mass Effect anymore...it is like a nice memorable relationship that didn't work out from many decades ago...it was nice for a time but it is in the past.
Dragon Inquisition sold about 8 million copies, so they obviously were gunning for AT LEAST 8 million with Veilguard. Probably the number 10million was discussed at Bioware and EA as a target. All signs headed into release point the game not even selling half of that number. We almost certainly have another game here that sells 3-4 million copies and is considered a big sales disappointment that loses its studio a whole bunch of money. Im here to watch the circus.
Good morning! Bioware was dead a long time ago. After ME2 and DA2. Only the name remains, the people who were involved in the company greatness have long since left it. There will No more such projects as: OG Baldur’s gate, Star Wars KOTOR, Neverwinter nights, Dragon Age Origins or Mass Effect. Stop believing in rebirth.
Play origins, inquisition is only worth playing because of how you see resolutions of choices from origins and 2. It carries the whole game, the short main story is solid but too small. If u really love origins and 2 you will enjoy it despite the fetch quests though because of the choice pay offs
In Dragon Age: Inquisition you did have some fetch quests. But to be fair it was my introduction to the series. But it still had a lot of the core aspects of the series that die hard fans complain Veil Guard doesn't have.
If they wanted to earn back the fans. They should do an honest remake of 3 with a better ending and improving on the criticism. But they don't have the talent to do it
You want Bioware to extripate from existence. They would butcher the game, dress up its corpse with your grans best sunday dress and lippy. Well at least that would be the main character.
The amount of people saying they aren't spending money on it brings me nothing but joy tbh. I'm not willing to spend money on something that looks bad. It's just a video game so no-one is going to suffer if they drop it before finishing the story because they don't like the quailty of what is offered.
I can’t understand why they want to kill off their successful series. I really do believe that it’s what they’re doing on purpose. How could I not. Real DA fan here and I feel like they have spit in my face.
I understand why people were upset with ME3 but I love that game. The ending was VERY disappointing but the rest of the game was great to me, I loved curing/sabotaging the genophage, ending the war between the quarians and the geth, and destroying Cerberus. I believe that game, up until the ending, is fantastic. I’ve played that trilogy so many times and I love playing that game as much as I love the other two.
They are also moderated on Nexus which has shown in the past to remove mods for offending the target audience of this game. If enough people say fixing the character creator is a "ism" or "phobe" they will remove it and remember this game is tailored to people who "ism" and "phobe" everything.
Originis is a top tier game. Multiple openings and endings. Big difference between race and sex and class. Political intrigue super branching stories. Da2 was hated, but honestly its not bad as its own game. They made it in a year and was supposed to be just a spinoff. If you think about it like that, its a pretty good game. Inquisition is the most overrated game of all time. The choices from the first 2 dont matter. Dumb tedious crafting and phone game mechanics. Purposely ugly armor and characters. Bland story. Alot of cringe moments and dialogue. Some people like it, but it doesnt hold a candle to origins. Seeing my dislike for Inquisition, and the state of bioware and industry, i know i wont like vielgard.
People whine so much about decisions not mattering in Mass Effect 3. Most mattered, just not in the war with the reapers at the very end. Ever character had closure, especially after the Citadel DLC. The original ending was depressing, but I think the extended cut did an okay job of patching that up.
Yes, I think we have to understand that pod games developers are more like a top pop band lineup? You might keep the name but when the talent has left it’s never the same again!
Bioware, Ubisoft, Bethesda....... you've long lost your way, and the bill has come due . May you all now serve as a cautionary tale for CDPR Larian Studios is now the new King of the genre
As a massive Dragon Age fan, I’m not buying the game. As you said, only three choices mattering is a massive betrayal, but what really sealed the deal for me of not buying has been is the dev response to negativity online. Instead of ignoring it, rolling with the punches, and letting the game speak for itself, they’ve decided to attack, and individual members of the dev team have said some seriously nasty things. I could write a whole book on why that’s a bad idea as a dev, but the long and short of it is that BioWare seems to hate its fans if they don’t ideologically agree with them. So I won’t be buying their slop.
If you're going to play the old games, you should play ALL of the older games. DA:V is actually Dragon Age: Inquisition, Part II. So if you want to look at the more recent game, it's kind of critical. Inquisitions problem is that BioWare doesn't do "open world" games. They're not entirely linear, but they do a hub world and then mission worlds that expand off of that hub, if that makes any sense. DA:I was BioWare attempting to be open world. So it's not as good as it could have been if they'd been allowed to focus and do what they do well.
The problem is multilayered in regard to why fans are not impressed with the studio, and it stems from different points of view. Firstly, I have personally seen and discussed with many gamers that the lack of an art direction in this series is a huge problem for some fans. I loved the first games gritty, gory, dark hues and tones but they have been changed with ever iteration of the game and again with this one. It would be one thing if they were updating models or making a varied cast of other creatures but the entire color scheme and visual coherence of the series is disjointed. Secondly, the combat system is completely different than anything they have tried. They made Dragon age origins with a system that I have always praised as one where every spell, every swing of a blade felt impactful it was a slower paced rpg but when you are used to playing CRPG's you were used to this combat style and the inclusion of a pause to think was a very well fleshed out game. In the second Dragon age it became much more fast paced and lost a good portion of that feeling and then in inquisition they feel like they tried to combine the two. Again, you will have those that loved one games play pacing more than another but when you play a CRPG you don't have to reinvent the wheel with each iteration. Look at the two more recent releases of Pathfinder Kingmaker and Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous. These games are more traditional RPG's and were very well received and the engine is what we have enjoyed since the early days of Baldur's Gate 1. Thirdly, they have recently attacked people for voicing criticism of the game being woke calling them "F****g tourists" which is not necessarily true. I have been a loving Bioware fan since the first Baldur's Gate. I have played both of those, both Knights of the Old Republic, The Mass Effect Trilogy, Dragon Age series through Inquisition. They have gotten further and further away from the feel of their games. When it is brought up by fans that are not happy with the new direction of the games they are attacked by the developers and creators. This is not a good thing no matter the reason. Simply stating that this is the new direction that they wanted to take their game and that they are aware that this is not something all the fans are going to embrace would have been a simple and effective way to acknowledge both long standing fans with the company and to let them know that they are still going to be moving forward in this direction. This would allow fans of the company to leave with the knowledge that their hopes of great games that they used to make will not be coming back. Fourthly, The lack of character choices in the games from previous titles having any impact on the new game is a blow to everyone that has been playing the series who hoped to be playing a contiguous story. This is not the case and is a sad reality of the game. The Grey warden's epic tale from the first game has mostly nothing to do with the rest of the games. The Zero to Hero from the second dragon age choices played more of a role. I have not finished inquisition so cannot claim to know the amount of impact from the two previous games though i know that the character from the second game comes into the game. Yet in the next one those choices boil down to a few key decisions in a character creation. This leaves a sour note for many who have been playing the game series for so long. To be fair on this note the developers saying the technology has advanced to for to incorporate those decisions is most likely a sad reality. Lastly, The more modern approach to RPG games is to strip down choices and overly simplify game mechanics in the hopes to attract non rpg gamers who enjoy the faster paced button smashy or flashy style game play. This is more of personal complaint on my part as I want the gritty bloody, slow burn action pace of the first dragon age. But the generation of gamers of the new era do not like those style of games if my kids are to be any example. I will say that all my gripes with ff7 remake aside they did very well with the combination of turn based and fast action-based gameplay. I just don't feel that Dragon age going in that direction is a good fit for this style of gameplay. All in all the games are horridly disjointed in their approach to not only gameplay, color scheme, graphics and rpg mechanics the games creators do not take the criticism well and instead attack their fans when questions are raised. The game is a beloved series with an amazing promise that has slowly died since its first game in the series. Since the first game the sales have dropped with the second game being the worst selling in the series. They have lost what it was to make a legend. The hype around Ogrins, the dark and gritty atmosphere both have completely died from the series. Although each shines a bit in their own regards. The series has lost sight of not only the values that built their company into a legendary position but also has lost any cohesion to the studios continued existence in the gaming industry. They lack a unifying goal or values in which to reproduce the legends of their past. As is the problem with a lot of older studios the talent, creativity and unifying powers of the older developers seems to have left the company lacking. This is not in any way to say that those that are at these studios are not great at their jobs but rather the unifying love and guidance of the past are gone. I see it in the fantasy of the new age both in movies, books and games. The new tools of today's era are amazing and the people that work with them have to be very talented, why than can we not get a game that can reach the fanbase of the series? If we take the fact, they have talented people working there, that the game still has promise, what else can be said for the game to explain the lack of anything that can stand to the test of time like their games of old? Quite a few seem to blame the politics that have swallowed the company.
Goodbye Bioware, I prefer to remember you in your good times, now you're just a husk and nobody should keep holding to nostalgia to justify support for something not worth of it.
in the past i would have been excited to get a new mass effect , dragons age or an elders scrolls but now after the failure of starfield an andromeda i now feel worried about next mass an elder scroll 6 an even beyond that.
Presenting: Disney Marvel Studios "Dragonage The Guardian of Veil Galaxy" rated E for everyone ages 2 and up. if your kids love quippy soulless slop, they'll love this copy pasta amalgamation of Fortnite, Marvel, Guardians of the Galaxy, and other popular IP that we used as "inspiration". only $70 - $100!
I played mass effect years after it came out. With the extended cut and everything. So i missed all of thw drama and controversy. It wasnt bad to me and its my favorite series with 3 being my favorite due to the dlc with apt. It was like a love story to all of the characters. Plus you had wrex!
Who the hell cares about previous game choices? The previous game was 10 YEARS AGO, for Gods sake! I dont even REMEMBER what I did in the previous game. This is the most ridiculous complaint I ever heard.
You might look up Tom Henderson's coverage of Dice (the Battlefield devs) and its turnover. More than 60% of all devs that worked on the last Battlefield, only joined Dice during that games dev cycle. If expand to the last 2 games it's north of 80%. Beyond 5 years, basically no major studio has much in common with its former self beyond the name.
I played Dragon Age: Origins and its expansion-amazing game! But Dragon Age 2 reused assets and locations far too much, which took away from the experience. As for Inquisition, the fetch quests and repeatedly covering the same ground really wore me down. I finished the main campaign but never went back to play the DLCs
It doesn't matter if they go out of business. The people who created the games we loved are gone. It's only tge same company in name. I can't name a single thing they have done right post ME3. I owe them no allegiance and they have no good will. Just hope they would do the right thing, which they haven't in years. Never wonder why all the true talent left.
BioWare isn’t the studio we fell in love with anymore. Most of the people that wrote and made the games we all love and fell in love with have all left BioWare and moved on to other projects and studios. I think that’s become a huge issue with gamers is we became loyal to companies with changing people over becoming loyal to the people who wrote and created games like rockstars or comedians. BioWare, blizzard, etc how many studios that made amazing games and then changed have been closed or dissolved. I don’t see what you see. I have friend who are huge dragon age fans. I’m more like you I never really played them and have always been a huge Mass Effect fan except for the last one but my friends who are fans aren’t that happy or interested in the new Dragon Age game. They haven’t even pre ordered the game like the did before and said they would. They said they are going to wait and see what happens and if they heard good reviews from people they trust them they might get it but what they’ve heard hasn’t been good. It sucks but maybe collapse in gaming that is happen needs to happen in order for it to rise again and for actual good games and interesting games to be made and released again. So many companies have become so big they thought they couldn’t fail but we’ve been shown to be wrong. Newer studios with older developers seem to be creating games that people will like a lot again.
You need to understand this fact. People make great games not a brand name. The guys who were responsible for the great Bioware games in the past are mostly not at Bioware anymore. We need to follow the lead of how the Japanese do things in entertainment. Follow the creative talents and not the companies.
Dragon Age Inquisition is awesome, story-wise, you should definitely check it out (and a lot of the fetch quests aren't mandatory, just don't get hung up on the Hinterlands)
DA:I is definitely worth playing. It's still dark and gritty like it's predecessors and if I remember correctly the mmo style fetch quests are mostly side content that you can mostly just ignore. My main issues with it was the occasionally slow pace of the story and the often rather boring personalities of the characters. Somehow they managed to make even Varric kinda dull. There are also characters who are clearly there mostly for the sake of representation.
andromeda currently is actually a fun open world romp if you arent looking for anything narratively deep. I honestly think biowares gonna be stripmined for talent after the next mass effect cuz its already in the works. Veilguards gonna tank cuz being a AAA studio doesnt sell games anymore when everyones struggling to scrape by each month and live services milk our wallets monthly so dropping $70 on a new game especially one that looks just so generic and filled with DEI it turns off a lot of us from bothering.
I will not give money to any company who insults their audience. Bioware is nothing without the gamers. They think they can make any political shit and think people will just blindly accept it and give them money. For them to exist they need our money and guess what, they will not get my money for sure or any of my 100+ gamer dudes. RIP
I want to be excited for this game, but after the last two months the ONLY thing that would make me buy it would be BioWare folding and the IP being sold to a studio like Larian to completely remake the game from the ground up. I'm not interested in a rails on pick a path retconned fanfiction of Inquisition, and I'm not WILLING to support a company that uses dogpiling and bullying as a marketing strategy.
I’m glad many of us agree that Andromeda had the best combat system in the Mass Effect series. It’s just too bad everything else was underwhelming. But it looks like Veilguard will make Andromeda look like a masterpiece.
Those guys you speak of were guests of EA and BioWare, don’t fall for their false hype. I watched a creator who also attended that event but he doesn’t rely on content creation as a source of financial stability so he spoke more freely. He does not share your optimism, especially when it came to the game being darker and more gritty. I would strongly recommend not blindly preordering or buying until you’ve seen a streamer play it to really get a feel for it.
When a game developer starts responding to criticism by attacking the fans and using DEI words and labels That's when you know the company truly is lost. There is no maybe, or possibly. They are dead 100%.
This game is already a flop and when reviews come out it's going to show just how bad it rilly is. I hear that it's supper woke and the main billion is sidelined till the end for no reason. It's looking bad for bioware.
it's over i don't think they gonna do better than SW: Outlaw. And EA already have their cash cow EAFC & MADDEN and we all know EA love money so much and they don't mess around when it's come to profits like Ubisoft.
I hope this is their end. I'm the biggest Mass Effect fan in existence and I don't want Mass Effect 4 (No, the upcoming game isn't Mass Effect 5 because that would imply that Mass Effect Andromeda was Mass Effect 4, it is not, Andromeda never even happened, you hallucinated that entire game). Please God, I've never prayed to you before. Please prevent Mass Effect 4 from coming out. OG Bioware is dead. They won't rise like a phoenix from the ashes. It's over. But please. I'm imploring you. I don't want to see what they have in store for Mass Effect. Let Liara T'Soni and Tali Zorah and Shepard and Garrus Vakarian rest in peace. Please. Please. Please.
What do you think about Dragon Age: The Veilguard, could it actually be good?
No, and stop inhaling that copium. It's not good for your health.
The game has a high chance of DOA.
Ever since I saw the first trailer where it showed all the characters, my first impression was that it doesn't look like a DA game at all.
Studio names mean nothing when the staff isn't the same anymore and crucial developers have left.
it literally does
If you order pancakes and are served a hamburger patty would you think its a pancake? Sure it looks like Bioware sure it looks like a pancake but it does not smell like a pancake nor does it taste like a pancake. So is it still a bioware? Is it still a pancake?
😢😢
I think it’s not just that. In the past developers would make games fans wanted. Now they make games for themselves.
When a studio is bought by a big publisher it's a death sentence. Every year is a count down until the last original developer leaves.
Play it day 1 pirated version
They didnt put in denuvo. If you love it, buy it but if you dont Dont give those losers your money.
@@eddiedormer9045 I mean the Qunari look pretty much how they looked in Inquisition Character Creator.
If the name BioWare means anything to you, just remember, it’s just a name, and the people who made it worth anything don’t work there anymore.
Some of the people do still work there (senior ones).

The experienced and veteran devs have already left. Casey Hudson is long gone. These new devs are known to be WOKE and toxic positivity exist in the workplace so any criticism is impossible for them. I think Mass Effect is done long ago. Bioware is but a shell of its former self.
Holy shit, he left again dam, shit musy be real bad, Bioware is dead, mass effect if it comes is gonna be bad i feel it.
It's more of final phase of decay. When the last doctors left, Bioware died that day.
Bioware died long ago and this game is DOA.
Mass Effect is pure gold compared to Fail guard.
Its over they just don't know it yet.
Every real Bioware fan knows that their funeral is coming after release of Veilguard.
RIP.
@@MrConredsX It came the second EA bought them.
@MrConredsX then why is every fan super hyped, and all early access that have been played has been reviewed well. yall love to ignore facts huh?

No I wouldn't care if bioware dies.
But guess what woke games do fail and studios are shutting down because of it
It just blows my mind how EA can just sit there and allow this to happen.
I agree, I think ea know it’s doa, there’s no dlc planned, the marketing is just crickets compared to past , it’s like they’ve written it off before it’s out
In BG3 it was just there. They didn’t preach about it. Also, you didn’t have to engage with ANY npc you didn’t like.
Game lost me at character creation. Everyone involved in it deserves to be FIRED
Fun fact about ME3, is that the whole game was rewritten and tons of dialog was cut due to a massive leak of the games script the game ended the way it did and also explained the lack of dialog opions compared to 1 and 2.
That's just sad fact
Even like that is still a great game, never had a problem with the ending. I don't know how to wrap so many decisions for players. Could have been better, sure but the trilogy is the best we ever had for space opera game.
Yeah, I wish they had still gone through with the dark energy ending. Sure, we'd gotten more bittersweet endings, but they would have fit more with the lore from the earlier games.
@@Elora445 True, i'm agree but Drew leaved and we got Crucible choice... Hope Exodus will be great, check the game. Drew and old guard from bioware are there.

I know people w/o the hardware to run ME:A at 4k, HDR and max graphics tend to like the older games in which, they can and ME 1-3 games they had more time in playing for they were younger than, later in life = When they do not have the time to play like they did with ME 1-3.

The gaming industry is HOT GARBAGE. They just can't keep out of their own way.
Nope. Failguard is going to flop. Say NO to a game made by people putting in top surgery scars into a character creator in a fantasy game!

Nothing of value lost
I expect this to be as much of a quality drop as me3>Andromeda.
I loved inquisition, dalragon age ended on a cliff hanger, veilguard is fanfiction
Even inquisition felt like a single player world of warcraft instead of Dragon Age.
Only 3 choices from DAI matter at start? Seems, someone pushes it too far out of anything Dragon Age at all, still: I could be wrong.

The problem with character proportions you can't figure out is due to their heads. They are slightly bigger than they should be.
Apparently it's not the heads but it is the shoulders, everyones shoulders are far too small for their bodies which makes everyone very slight and child like.
A consequence of trying to pretend humans are not a sexual dimorphic species and are just prepubescant boys instead, which unsettlingly these people argue is attractive.

play inquisition with mods, to remove some of the grind
I blame them greedy Fs at EA for ruining BioWare.
BioWare is dead, in other words water is wet. This is not new, all the great talent that built BioWare have left. There is literally no one left.
It’s remarkable how keeping your mouth shut can take you a LONG way. lol
I mean in regards to this now being “drama” and they’ve sort of exposed themselves
I feel like the best part of Andromeda being the combat is going to be mirrored by veilguard.
It's looking that way. I don't see a lot story or character elements being marketed.
I cant say what will happen to bioware or mass effect but i will say that Vaile Guard will fail. It already has a lot of bad press and some of the things playtesters are saying about it are not good.
It's better if Bioware gets put down now rather than letting them do further damage to the Mass Effect series.
After ME3 and it's ending with Javik day one DLC ,I put EA on my personal black list with ubi and more companies. Man I save so much money with my sanity to.

Dragon Age the Failguard.
Dont be sad, there re noone left from the founders of the studio, Casey Hudson was the last to leave 1 year ago. Bioware died a few years back.
The ending of mass effect 3 was the entire reason i didnt get into it despite loving dragon age.
the body proportions of the characters look wrong because all characters have giant heads... This makes characters look stumpy.
In concept andromeda had potential and familiarity wasn't bad, seen something just like the first contact was awesome
Sadly they fumbled really hard
The original score was so good. Can anyone remember any music from 2&3? I can’t off the top of my head. The old stuff is well stuck in there though.
Dark Solas, Lost Elf, In Your Heart Shall Burn, Empress of Fire (Tavern version, Wicked Eyes Wicked Hearts version as well).
Yeah, I can remember some from Inquisition, but definitely I liked Origins score way more. Especially the battle music.
Yeah I am very worried. At this point, I am at wait for sale. Would love to see what mods come, but Frostbite is notorious for not being mod friendly.
They are also moderated on Nexus which has shown in the past to remove mods for offending the target audience of this game.
If enough people say fixing the character creator is a "ism" or "phobe" they will remove it and remember this game is tailored to people who "ism" and "phobe" everything.

How do we tell him.. it's not going to be anything like it..
I hope Veilguard is the last nail in the coffin and the studio gets shut down forever. Get real.
Yes, I think we have to understand that pod games developers are more like a top pop band lineup?
You might keep the name but when the talent has left it’s never the same again!
Bioware, Ubisoft, Bethesda....... you've long lost your way, and the bill has come due . May you all now serve as a cautionary tale for CDPR
Larian Studios is now the new King of the genre
Presenting: Disney Marvel Studios "Dragonage The Guardian of Veil Galaxy"
rated E for everyone ages 2 and up. if your kids love quippy soulless slop, they'll love this copy pasta amalgamation of Fortnite, Marvel, Guardians of the Galaxy, and other popular IP that we used as "inspiration". only $70 - $100!
Inquisition was totally shallow… and now we get this 🤦🏻♂️
I played mass effect years after it came out.
Great vid man. Well done. Subbed and dubbed
That has been the case with many of them at this point, all the devs that actually gave them the fame are gone.
Don't get attached to a company or brand.
I wouldn't trust EA or Bioware to run a bath let alone a studio
DA:I is definitely worth playing. It's still dark and gritty like it's predecessors and if I remember correctly the mmo style fetch quests are mostly side content that you can mostly just ignore. My main issues with it was the occasionally slow pace of the story and the often rather boring personalities of the characters. Somehow they managed to make even Varric kinda dull. There are also characters who are clearly there mostly for the sake of representation.
DA:I does have some stellar moments of writing in it so it's not all that bad.
You can only use four abilities lmao i can't
andromeda currently is actually a fun open world romp if you arent looking for anything narratively deep.
I liked Inquisition. I have 900 hours in the first 3 games. I'm on the fence about Veilguard. I think I'll wait and see.
I will not give money to any company who insults their audience. Bioware is nothing without the gamers.
They think they can make any political shit and think people will just blindly accept it and give them money.
For them to exist they need our money and guess what, they will not get my money for sure or any of my 100+ gamer dudes. RIP
Not a chance. They’re done 😢. Goodbye BioWare
As a ME fan I actually enjoyed MEA but it felt like a space Inquisition 😂
Jee I wonder why? 🤔😂
Mass Effect: Andromeda is still a really good idea; it was terribly executed but there is a foundation where something great can be built upon.
It's looking bad for bioware.
its about time anyway.. they wont come back to the age of baldurs gate, kotor, DOA, and mass effect anyway
it's over i don't think they gonna do better than SW: Outlaw.
Please. Please. Please.
Im actually hopeful of this new title. I loved the past games.
ME3 story can fortunately be mostly fixed using mods. ME2 still peak tho.
