The people at Disney are like the spoiled rich bully kid who lived next door to me growing up. He could get any toy he wanted but instead of playing with them he just smashed them to pieces. It brought him the attention he never got from his rich non loving parents, still none of us other kids dared to question his actions because then he would beat the crap out of you. The people at Disney have all the money in the world and no talent, nothing to show for and they are not driven by creativity or the urge to tell good stories. The people at Disney just want to be the centre of attention and for everyone to admire them, not for the movies and shows they create but for who they are. Thats why they have to put themselves in everything they produce and they are willing to blow a billion dollar hole in the Disney bank vault along the way.
Only Disney can stop them and only its shareholders can stop the egos currently running Disney from placing their politics above shareholder expectations. Sadly Disney shareholders had a recent opportunity to vote other people onto its board who care more about the business of making money more than appealing to the whims of the current egotistical CEO who's also a board member, a conflict of interest if there ever was one. Yet they chose not to act. Only continued losses can bring this sad period of Hollywood history to an end. Never thought cowards or idiots would run all US entertainment but the proof's in the pudding.

My mother likes the MCU movies that were made in Phases 1-3, and hates the stuff in phases 4-5 like Loki and Dr Strange MOM, and she's 60 years old. My mother likes strong female characters provided they have a story and a personality to go with them, and they're cool.
Nah, you don't work for them. They don't give money to their customers - even when deserving it. There was a case of a couple going to DisneyLand, and in the restaurant, made sure to ask for allergenes, and were given an all clear to a specific dish. The woman ate said dish and died to an allergic reaction 45min later. The man sued Disney for $50k, and instead of just paying those peanuts, Disney pointed to a clause in the Disney+ contract, stating that you have to settle everything with Disney outside of the courts.
I would have loved to take on a story about Agatha, make it a straight up Villain protagonist story, first few episodes are straight up phycological horror, then she finally just barley breaks free due to her own knowledge of magic. She comes out in a dead town with nobody, but the cult of her master is now after her, and she has to take out these worshipers one by one, slowly gaining what she had back.
Say hello to the new batch of lesbian women, same as the old batch, that we all soundly rejected from day one. - And don't let anyone tell you that Disney knows how to run a succesful business model, ever again.
It's not high on my priority list but I'd love to see an independent audit of this travesty and a few others. Especially She-Hulk and ROP. And if the money-laundering angle is a conspiracy theory then it's only because THERE'S NO OTHER EVEN REMOTELY LOGICAL EXPLANATION.
I've been saying this all along. It's all about money laundering, and it's amusing that people can't see it. The video commentary from many content creators criticizing these shows is misguided and misleading. I suspect many of them are aware of what's really happening but are deliberately leading people astray. It's a distraction tactic; they're using hate to divert attention. By framing it under the guise of "wokeism," they make it seem like it's about ideology rather than the reality of blatant money laundering.

My daughter is 26 and she was telling me Thursday or Friday that she was going to check it out. I told her good luck with that cause it's not something I would even consider watching. Yesterday when I asked her if she liked it she said she got about 15 minutes into the show and stopped and hasn't bothered to try to finish.
I’ve recently realized that I am that middle aged single woman market, 39, and while I lost interest in superhero stuff prior to Disney marvel decline (actually when the comics first started being adapted I was done,) I’m still in that sort of “nerd” community, running a game and hobby store, and I HATE everything about this show. Seems they’re trying to catch what they had with Wandavision (which was meh) and recreate it by using the Things even more as if manifesting that lightning in a bottle but instead creating a massive steaming turd with wardrobe changes.
Like I once heard a chef say when I first worked in a kitchen, "It doesn't matter if you like the dish. You're not the one paying for it. Now cook the food the way the guest wants it and don't screw it up."
The only hope is that this was greenlit before the clear collapse of Hollywood’s girlboss era. It feels inevitable that they’ll have to stop now. The wheels have finally come off. The culture has shifted. Over the next few years we’ll find out if they’re smart enough to catch on.
"The SHow was made for Jac Shaeffer for Jac Shaeffer" - AZ I couldn't agree more with this comment. But to articulate it differently in my own words, the showrunner (Jac Shaeffer) was given free rein by studio execs who miscalculated the popularity of woke. George Lucas summed it up best with this analogy: studio executives see entertainment as a craps shoot. You hire a creative (writers, directors, etc.) as a gamble. You hire them, these kids who you don't fully understand, and say: "I am going to give you my money, now go into the casino and play the craps table with the money I am giving you, and then bring the winnings back to me, and we both get a share." Sometimes, the gamble pays off (like when they made the original STAR WARS); sometimes, it doesn't (like THE ACOLYTE). The point is that the executives aren't good at creativity and may not necessarily understand trends in entertainment. They are like gamblers, throwing money in directions they think will work if they see (or think they see) a trend. Somebody thought that the concept of Agatha Harkness as a character was a good idea and decided to finance it. They misread the room; they saw a "phantom trend," data that seemed to indicate something was there but really was a fluke. A false positive. So they gave Jac Shaeffer a truckload of money and said, "Do your own thing." It isn't literally "made for her by her." That's a nice way of paraphrasing it. What it is, is SELF-INDULGENT. People thinking they are smarter than they are, betting on something that won't work.
Plaza was great as April Ludgate. Plaze is terrible when every role she has ever played, including presenting awards is just a rehash of April Ludgate. What was cute at 20 is embarrasing at 40. But modern writers are part of modern culture which believes growing up is a myth and that immaturity is a perpetual virtue.
I dont understand why there havent been class action suits by the shareholders. If GM spent a hundred and fifty million dollars to build a Flinstones car out of logs, the suits would be instantaneous and the government would investigate them for money laundering.

cause they have the theme parks behind them. When you have tens of billions of sales in tickets you can take few billion loss per year in the cinema/streaming sector.
Until it starts hurting the theme parks and the share holders pull the plug to all the Dei projects.
When you have a large fortune it's easy to make a small one.
That is a good question. I recommend you do some research as to why that is.
All that I've learned tells me that it is a very complicated answer. Part of the problem is, media companies' accounting methods are designed to obscure information.
Every executive in the company is onboard with the agenda. They don’t care how much they lose as long as they can corrupt and groom the kids.
Marvel is just a tiny part of Disney. They make their money with parks and stuff like ESPN. So Marvel stuff flopping is never gonna bankrupt Disney, just like RoP flopping isn't going to bankrupt Amazon.
Gay explosion? I’m guessing something involving DIDDY and baby oil
...and 700+ d*ldos...
Tremendous reference.
Baaahahaha. Don’t forget the lube.
Can't stop won't stop, take that take that
I fear it'll be more of a gay whimper
Who turned the writers into a bunch of soy drinking hacks appealing to no one?
Who tried to attract in the 10% of women that would actually care by alienating 80% of their male audience?
Who replaced every well written male character with a girlboss strong female that faces no challenges?
It was Agatha all along.
More like Agatha all went wrong... or like... Agatha hits from the bong... but actually just... Agatha wears a schlong. 👩🧹👉👌
90% of the male audience.
@@stephenpmurphy59191%
And 70+% of their existing female audience. I doubt that female Marvel fans want this either. They are creating a superhero show that is meant to appeal to non-superhero fans.
@zirconiumdiamond1416 We don't. I'm not even watching this show, I could care less. I went to see Deadpool and Wolverine 3 times in the theater, that is what I want in my shows...not identity politics. Just like the shit they have done with Star Wars. Give me Mandalorian season 1 and 2, and Andor....not season 3 girl boss show and I didn't even want to watch the Acolyte. Female fans prior to Disney+, want good writing, not feminism.
As a middle-aged woman who does actually love Marvel , This show wasn’t written for me , I want to see Chris Helmsworth being all Alpha with his shirt off , or RDJ being clever and sexy at the same time whilst saving the world ….again , This was written for very camp gay men with a witchcraft fetish , Just my opinion , stop blaming us middle aged women for everything , We don’t all hoard cats and hate men, Hope that clarifies the situation , I’m off to watch The Expanse for the 4th time, I have a thing for Amos
Expanse is great example of diversity done right. Which is irony I guess.
Thank you! I've been saying this. I'm a middle-aged woman with cats and I abhor this shite as much as any other sane thinking person. I'm getting a little tired of all my fav youtubers collectively badgering middle-aged women as if we're into this. I'm mad as hell they butchered Tolkien. The only value I see in madam web or the acolyte is to see Disparu and Little Platoon take em apart.
Was coming here to say this too.
Didn't you hate when they made Thor fat? What a waste. 🙃
Oh man the expanse was great. Wish they gave the ending better treatment though.
Ah yes marketing it as the gayest project they’ve made thus far because that worked SO well for “Thor: Love and Thunder” or that OTHER Disney project “The Acolyte”
I mean how else are you going to market this
Then we have that male gay rom com movie that the director specifically said wasnt for straight people and spoiler alert, it failed. Then he blamed straight people for it, like women wants to watch a rom com where they cant picture themselves as the lead actress getting her prince charming and like men would start to watch rom coms because of all the steamy man on man action.
EVERY BODY HAS ALREADY SAID THIS OVER AND OVER AGAIN
@@TheZodiacRipper The Bros trailer would play before every movie before its release.
I'll never forget the reactions to the line about how straight people had a good run. It was either complete silence or you felt the energy of the audience just evaporate. It ultimately was hilarious to see that movie bomb so hard.
Gay & Jewish... Now now it's not antisemitic rather its true.
The reason they're distributing it is because they had a slot to fill, and it was the only thing available because Ironheart is still in the MCU vault. 🎉
I'm glad they have a vault to protect valuables such as Ironlady. I just hope it's very secure and locked tightly to make sure it never gets out... or stolen, I meant stolen... because it's so valuable, ya know... and very much in demand from... people... lots of people, I assume. #LockHerUp #ForSafetyReasonsOnlyOfCourse
I hope and pray Iron Heart never sees the light of day. Riri Williams was a terrible character in the Wakanda movie and that whole movie was terrible. Black Panther other than Killmonger was an overrated movie

My mother likes the MCU movies that were made in Phases 1-3, and hates the stuff in phases 4-5 like Loki and Dr Strange MOM, and she's 60 years old. My mother likes strong female characters provided they have a story and a personality to go with them, and they're cool.
The MCU essentially ended with Endgame. After that it was all anti-climactic.
Uh oh, my comment lampooning the gay explosion was removed by U Tooobes fascist censors.

I would be happy with just $10,000.
If you're gay enough.
Is anyone gay enough for modern day Disney?
Gay suicide bombers teased for the Acolyt- i mean Agatha finale?? 🔥🔥🔥
You already came up with a better show than they did
Jac Schaeffer looks the type of person who'd be best suited to be an elementary school teacher rather than a screenwriter and producer.
Won't anyone think of the children!
Marvel: Did we tell you that it's the GAAAAAAYEST Marvel show ever 😅
It's weird how Disney keeps claiming this for shows with a _female_ protagonist. Is "gay" less problematic than "lesbian" or something?
That's a pretty good Gollum impression, drinker.
Say hello to the new batch of lesbian women, same as the old batch, that we all soundly rejected from day one.
- And don't let anyone tell you that Disney knows how to run a succesful business model, ever again.
Money laundering
💯💯💯Gotta be the case
It's not high on my priority list but I'd love to see an independent audit of this travesty and a few others. Especially She-Hulk and ROP. And if the money-laundering angle is a conspiracy theory then it's only because THERE'S NO OTHER EVEN REMOTELY LOGICAL EXPLANATION.
Where's the dirty money coming from?
I've been saying this all along. It's all about money laundering, and it's amusing that people can't see it. The video commentary from many content creators criticizing these shows is misguided and misleading. I suspect many of them are aware of what's really happening but are deliberately leading people astray.
It's a distraction tactic; they're using hate to divert attention. By framing it under the guise of "wokeism," they make it seem like it's about ideology rather than the reality of blatant money laundering.
@@Lemon_InspectorI don't think disney wants to divulge how much DEI money it's actually getting. Vanguard, black rock pouring in so much money.

It's pretty clearly competing with shows like Sabrina, Wednesday, etc. I guess they don't think the male audience is worth pursuing.
That red carpet correspondent seems predatory
No matter how gay they try to make a movie or show they still can't top the pure gayness of a movie about two cowboys who get gay on a mountain.
Yet that film did really well... It's almost as if quality of writing and good characterisation are the most import things.

The only hope is that this was greenlit before the clear collapse of Hollywood’s girlboss era. It feels inevitable that they’ll have to stop now. The wheels have finally come off. The culture has shifted. Over the next few years we’ll find out if they’re smart enough to catch on.

"The SHow was made for Jac Shaeffer for Jac Shaeffer" - AZ
I couldn't agree more with this comment.
Off topic, but the title is rather clever, and I appreciate that.
Aubrey Plaza is 40, and she's supposedly the hot one. lmao.
Have you seen the cast? She *IS* the hot one!
Ludgate is that cute girl that would rock your world, but you would never let her know your home address.
She is hot
Don't you dare go after Aubrey Plaza, she's off limits.
I dont understand why there havent been class action suits by the shareholders. If GM spent a hundred and fifty million dollars to build a Flinstones car out of logs, the suits would be instantaneous and the government would investigate them for money laundering.
