Your explanations are great. I always knew that cover 4 was good for the run because the safeties come down, but never realized why they do that (since they have less field to worry about).
This is a great video in the way that you like to adjust it when you customize it reminds me of 9 velcro which I sadly don't see in Madden anymore

I like how you go back and do the adjustments slowly, so we can follow along. I was surprised to see all the adjustments. I have been using this formation with just a simple Base Align and press, but I think the show blitz rather than press might work better. Thanks...
Another good adjustment you can make out of this is whenever your opponent is in 2nd or 3rd and longs you can slide your line to the side there running back isn't on, blitz the linebacker on that side like you were showing and aim your line towards the side of the blitz, it will take the tackle and guard out of the play and get your line backer relatively free off the edge. If the guy you're playing likes to run from the side of pressure then just put the most inside rusher in a qb spy. So if you're playing Xbox the adjustment would be show blitz, pinch linebackers, shade underneath, shade up, slide line to opposite side of running back, aim the line towards the side of the linebacker blitz, blitz the linebacker on the opposite side of the running back and put a qb spy if needed.

Glad i seen this everyone has been using this against me its tuff to do much. I normally dont look at any vids but my defense is so awful this year funny thing i been running this play past few madden's with only show blitz but this year without those adjustments not so great one way i beat this is alot of underneath middle stuff,draw runs, and some really cool funky screen plays with alot of motion going on but takes a few play's per drive

Good video but try putting the inputs in txt on the screen or have it in the discription. You go very fast, its hard to fallow for someone thats not an expert at adjustments....just a suggestion

This defense is something else , I okayed against it ik the underneath routes open but once ur falling behind its sucks cause u cant move down the field
Few holes, flats and over the middle on med passes and stop n go would break dbs down, I'm trying new systems. can't wait to try it though

So if you run slants on this play with any of the adjustments. You can swing your back and by the time your receiver slants he blocks the outside backer and then your tackle will head up field and block the safety. Then touchdown. Every time
This scheme is great. Working for me so far
This scheme will get torn to shreds by out routes, flat routes, and plays that flood one side of the field. And it's a waste of time trying to find the perfect scheme that will stop everything. When you're playing online against people that actually understand play calling they're going to realize you're running the same shit over and over and will find a way to beat it. And the second they figure it out they're cheesing you right back by going no huddle to keep you from changing personnel packages or being able to sub out gassed players.

This D looked super strong... in the real play section the only thing that looked open sometimes was the tight flats to the left .
Man...this play has changed the game for me so fast...I was already using the play but not with the adjustments...I hadn't made anyone quit the game since I been playing 18, got it the first game using this play. Thanx bro. Any ideas for the nickel package...I ran across rush 3 in Nickel 2-4-5 I think and also Cover 3 Match in 3-4 Over Plus...I just have to find the right adjustments. Would be great if you could touch on these plays...

Its a could scheme to use at times, but as a base defense this would get killed the flat is open every time, running lanes there as well, and if your pressure dosent get there you get beat deep on post routes, or streaks out of the slot

Do you strafe with the safety or just run?
Do you get exposed deep if the pass rush doesn't come through? Especially in that zone you've moved with your strong safety.

Also if you bluff blitz both LBs, confuses the f**k out of the player, plus helps pass rush due to new line mechanics.

Use the Seahawks do cover one and press in the safety
U know if u dont wanna leave the zone open over top u can put the outside corner on a cloud and it allows u to put the safeties in deep halfs
cover 4, shade underneath, show blitz, pinch line backers is the basic.
I ran this defense 100% of snaps in a game and it is lockdown!!
Can you do this for online rank? I understand it's much easier in MUT because you have a team of 90 plus overall players

In Madden u gotta show a weakness to waste pocket time and mind game off it playing ultimate team and with good teams covers up bad def ai but if u using a normal squad u gotta deceive

I love this play but the thing I noticed is that when I run it it leaves the quarterback wide open for a run. I even audibled QB contain and that still doesn't work any suggestions? It also is not a good play for stopping the drag route any ideas?

how do you run faster on madden 18 ps4, such as your Rb, WR etc. my men be running seem like in slow motion. even when I hold R2 they still run slow
@ 4:31 when you run the play. Your linebacker has an indication who he should cover, how do you make that come up? On my game it doesn't do that.
