The readers/viewers were relatively new to the concept of nen and we were shown someone with incredible talent right off the bat, only to realise that sheer power and talent won't get you anywhere, especially if you misuse your strengths. The chrollo vs hisoka was the best interesting fight. The pacing of the battle was like chess. I like how chrollo add more pressure toward hisoka. To let throw him off and guess what move he making. That battle on chrollo was very strategic.

The moment I fell for Hunter was at the Dodgeball Game fight... my girlfriend had it playing on netflix and I was doing something else... this went on for a few days... and when the dodgeball game happened I made her restart the whole series with me. Thats my favorite fight in the anime.
Man, animating the Chrollo/Hisoka fight will/would be hell. It's just pure chaos involving hundreds of bodies either in a state of attack or a state of panic. Actually putting all that into motion without just resorting to a bunch of still shots would be a monumental task. It'd really be one for the ages if they managed to pull it off.
U know how authors like to show the growth and future ability of mc’s (goku, Naruto, luffy one day etc) I think that was togashi’s way of showing Gon in his future self, this kinda supports the theory that Gon’s story is over in Hunter x Hunter
I think Gon will return after the Succession War and Dark Continent Expedition arcs, and that it is entirely possible the final arc of Hunter X Hunter will be fighting against Gyro, who is trying to kill the entire world.

I have to disagree. Even tough I personally also like Chrollo vs. Hisoka more, Meruem vs. Netero was an ideological battle more than anything. A clash of convictions and species as a whole, completely blurring the lines between human and monster.
yeah, Hisoka vs Chrollo had a lot more mind games and different moves to it, while Netero vs Meruem was Meruem attacking Netero and Netero slapping him away.
Meruem vs Netero isn't a dbz fight, stop comparing it to that show. Actual strategy and skill was present during their fight. Not just aliens flying around punching each other.

Some people said that Netero vs Meruem was the fight of the decade, and im with them, its like the old guy vs the prodigy was done perfectly, in Naruto they tried with Hiruzen vs Orochimaru, but it didnt pay off as well as that fight, the build up of both of them was genius, just like all the series
Fine list but the dodgeball match tops every fight for me. It was so mind blowing and creative and complex and possibily for the very first time I've felt our main couple's lives were indeed at risk. And I really like the feeling of the best _fight_ (to my standards, at least) not even being a fight at all 👌🏻
I liked the fight between Gon and Knuckle because it showed how skill, intellect, and experience are just as important if not more than strength. It also taught us a lot about Nen. Later is the fight with Youpi because it showed how lines get very easily blurred when it comes to individual morality and desires.
Kurapica does get valuable Intel on the spiders out of it, in that he knows that he's taken out the physically strongest of the group. But that's about it. It's really a fight where you can argue that nobody won.
No 1 is so op that I had to stop and rewatch it before continuing. Lol a little sad that my favorite fight, the most intense game of dodgeball in anime history didn't make the list.
This video show how good Togashi is as a storyteller, pretty much all five fights are pretty one-sided yet very interesting and full of tension that is something you see in other mangas but never as consistently as in HxH; the author has also shown to know quite well how to make OP stuff work in the story, (Netero, Meruem, Alluka / Nanika) that's why I trust he can manage to do something good with that Fourth Prince and his absurd powers; in regards to the subject itself of the video, my list is almost the same but I would add at least as honorable mentions Morel's fights against Cheeto and Leol and Chrollo vs Silva and Zeno.
Only in HxH where you'll see one-sided fights be exciting. Others just punch each others till the end etc. My personal favorite are Morel's fights vs Cheetu and Leol
honorable mention for me Chrollo vs Silva and Zeno, it wasn't too destructive, or flashy and had very low stakes, if any, but damn was it cool and informative about Nen as an art form.
Personally I’m a fan of Killua vs Rammot in the Chimera Ant arc because it was such an impactful and emotional moment when Killua ripped out Illumi’s needle and was finally free
I was looking at the captions when he said Netero vs. Mereum and it said "Metro vs. Marijuana". Holy shit I didn't know Netero had a weed addiction. "Chimera Weed King, Do you think that I cannot smoke weed with one hand?" Should've been the dialogue instead.
I definitely agree with your top5 fights *EXCEPT* for Hisoka vs Gon. The reason is that Gon at that time only knows the basics of nen. We haven't seen him applying his Hatsu. A newbie versus a veteran in terms of fight experience and knowledge about nen, Gon is on a losing side to begin with. It would be better if it was "Gon vs Genthru" since both are on the same footing in terms of application of nen in combat. Gon was already polished by Bisky at this time, that's he take on Genthru.
Gon vs Pitou is okay in the manga. IF you read it first. The anime absolutely smashes that scene. Definitely top 5 anime scenes of all time. the music, atmosphere, the lack of emotion in gons voice. its all so powerful

Only in HxH where you'll see one-sided fights be exciting. Others just punch each others till the end etc. My personal favorite are Morel's fights vs Cheetu and Leol
honorable mention for me Chrollo vs Silva and Zeno, it wasn't too destructive, or flashy and had very low stakes, if any, but damn was it cool and informative about Nen as an art form.
Personally I’m a fan of Killua vs Rammot in the Chimera Ant arc because it was such an impactful and emotional moment when Killua ripped out Illumi’s needle and was finally free

It's not quite a "fight", but the dodgeball game in Greed Island is probably my favorite fight in the series.

I was looking at the captions when he said Netero vs. Mereum and it said "Metro vs. Marijuana". Holy shit I didn't know Netero had a weed addiction. "Chimera Weed King, Do you think that I cannot smoke weed with one hand?" Should've been the dialogue instead.

I definitely agree with your top5 fights *EXCEPT* for Hisoka vs Gon. The reason is that Gon at that time only knows the basics of nen. We haven't seen him applying his Hatsu. A newbie versus a veteran in terms of fight experience and knowledge about nen, Gon is on a losing side to begin with. It would be better if it was "Gon vs Genthru" since both are on the same footing in terms of application of nen in combat. Gon was already polished by Bisky at this time, that's he take on Genthru.

Gon vs Pitou is okay in the manga. IF you read it first. The anime absolutely smashes that scene. Definitely top 5 anime scenes of all time. the music, atmosphere, the lack of emotion in gons voice. its all so powerful
