And it’s not canon, but I believe Kurapika used his chains on a former phantom troup member without dying because he considered him part of the phantom troup. Depending on Binolts interpretation of the condition, why would it be that Farfetched to think that Binolts favorite scissors could change?
NewWorldReview I didn’t recall his Scissors being bound. People change all the time. I had favorite sippy cup as a child. ( refused. To drink out of anything else) Then one day it was “accidentally “ run over... How did my families car, run it over. While I was inside. Years later, I have a favorite mug. Doesn’t it depend on how he trained/agreement he made? ( infusing them with nen) Sorry ~ somewhat new to HxH. Could you clarify a bit?
I would argue that if Kurapika's abilities are able to adapt based on those who consider themselves members of the Phantom Troupe, there's no reason why Binolt's ability wouldn't work if he found a new favorite pair of scissors.

For number 4, maybe its whatever his favorite scissors are "at that time" so if he loses his favorite pair, maybe its his favorite of the pairs he has left?
i think benolt's ability is actually awesome, imagin if togashi gave it to leorio, he'd be the best doctor in the whole hunter x hunter universe, it was underwhelming only because it was benolt's ability.
I would have thought that Cheetu's second ability would be on this list since it is just a basic set of claws with a crossbow on it, aka just a regular weapon that someone could easily make or buy.
It was useful is in that situation where he couldn't touch him, but a weapon could. It is terrible, but at least useful for the situation, but still just terrible.
@@brandonchandlerMGnO no it was pretty useless in general. He made it after losing the game of tag ability. That that point he could just fight close range and would have the advantage without the extra ability. It only makes him weaker
How is his needle hair a bad abaility... We were shown that he can grow it out and manipulate it fully, we dont know its range but it could be longer. Its obviously strong to pierce uvo but if you got someone in the chest or head they are done, you could wrap your hair around their organs and crush them or possibly just the pierce would be enough
As a fan of DB and YYH, the nen blasts are typically my favorite use of nen. Sure it's simple, but energy blasts will never not be cool. Kinda like the appeal of swords.
5 BEST nen abilities: - Ging abondoning Gon as nen restriction so that Ging becomes the top 3 strongest - Tonpa crushing rookies for 30 years as nen restriction to create the strongest nen ability: 100-type-juice-machine - Bungee Gon because it has the properties of both rubber and Gon - Gon is born with nen. His nen ability is infinite hairgel. It's even stickier than bungee Gon - Ging's COPY ability, he copies all nen from hunters he meets around the world and puts it into Greed Island spells that he needs to conquer the dark continent
That's a case of a bad user, not ability. The hide and seek ability is absolutely terrifying, and his physical prowess would allow an instant win. But he's not suited for patience, and attentive actions. The crossbow claws are pretty shit. Can't defend those.
@@chrisj403 is it not fair to say that the ability is bad considering the ability offers no real consequence for waiting out the clock or that Cheetu can't even attack his opponent without canceling the ability? I understand where you're coming from but I feel it's just a total failure from a bad user making a bad ability. The crossbow could be better if there was some restriction or special ability placed upon it.
@@aaronmcclarnon2434 Given the conditions of the ability, and that you can't be touched for hours, it's safe to assume that if you fail to escape that ability, the effects will be lethal. With the return of bleach on its way! It would be really good to hear your thoughts on bleach characters and their abilities as well! If you have a large enough interest in it of course!
Cheetu’s tag game ability is awful, he incapacitates himself for 8 hours in a place where he can’t be contacted and the only way to get out is to wait the 8 hours or get himself tagged, which locks his ability forever
I couldn't consider Abangane's ability useless, he'd absolutely have been dead without it. It's also one of those abilities that you don't think you'd need and are useless, until you really need it and are super glad to have it. That and having such a niche ability makes you all the more valuable.
6:56 no just like how hisoka can change the properties of his nen like the elasticity and adhesiveness of bungee gum a transmuter can change the properties of their nen at any given point. A manipulator manipulates real and/or conjured objects. If it required manipulation (like Zeno’s dragons do I think) it would be able to perform far more complex tasks.
I have been watching hxh for a little while now, and just started watching your vids on this channel (long time GLR fan). This was the subscribe gag that actually got me to hit the button. Nice one!
I feel like I should mention that Porcupine's hair managed to pierce through Uvogin's Ten, which a sword couldn't. It seems like the act of getting dozens of needles stabbed into you would be incredibly painful and debilitating, unless you were a master enhancer that didn't feel pain when a large chunk of flesh was ripped out of your leg and shoulder. It's an ability that stops most, if not all physical damage, and would likely be a very powerful ability if Porcupine had any follow up to it.
@@NewWorldReview Thank you! I developed my nen ability which allows me to know when a new video is uploaded. I just need to fulfill two conditions: 1. Hit the subscribe button 2. Hit the notification bell
7:13 it doesn’t take a lot of manipulation, it’s making them spikes also enhancement is used to make them sharp so it takes a surprising amount to preform
But those who use Nen are usually rich so, if he charges unbelievable high prices he can not only lower the chance by being killed expenationally and make tons of money from those who been cursed
I think that porcupines ability is a little more versatile than you give it credit for. He was trying to make uvo lose the use of his arm. But I imagine he could use it pretty well to block. He could lock his feet to the ground and soften his hair and take pretty much any hit.
the nen Exorcist could be made powerful if it is not the only ability it have. Maybe we just didnt see the combat potential of it. It can Eat Nen and disable the power from it then maybe if he makes the puppet from the twigs and burns (the more complicated the process the more powerful the abilities) it, the creature appears not on the caster but on the victim. The creature disables all nen and that could be powerful. it is immortal and maybe it could even attack if it wants to. So the only way against that is to prevent the ritual from succeeding but once it did your screwed.
Another fault of Scissor Hands is that any opponent worth getting that kind of information on is more than likely strong enough to kill the user while they’re stuffing hair into their mouth. For example, if Benalt managed to snip a lock of say, Phinx’s hair, his neck would be broken before the hair got to his stomach.
transmutation can actually be used to manipulate the shape of ones aura as well as seen with Zenos ability, so its entirely possible for a transmuter to control what they transmute without manipulation, though they would be somewhat more limited
Top Five Nen abilities: 5. Doctor Blythe/Terpsichora (Pitou) 4. Rising Sun (Feitan) 3. Dragon Dive (Zeno) 2. 100-type Guanyin Bodhisattva (Netero) 1. Skill Hunter (Chrollo)
I think they put skill hunter as #1 because you could use every other ability with it, but I agree skill hunter has some pretty bogus requirements to be used in combat but paired with chrollos intellect it becomes scary
@@TheFancyCrawdad that's fair. It's a cool ability, but it makes him much more technical than powerful, which is why his natural talent at fighting balances him out well. Probably why he took seemingly lackluster powers like owls cloak. I'm assuming he has a limit so it must show something.
he only became a Hunter to revenge his clan. he only strengthened his ability to revenge his clan. outside of this he has no desire to fight but with those 12.. he's on par with ging and netero
The Nen Exorcists isn't just focused on exorcism. Abengone just summon a beast that could remove nen from oneself. He can probably summon fightee beasts too.
dog manipulation might be the most efficient use of nen in the series. the conditions set are so high, and with such a mimiscule benefit on top of the dogs' training, it might be komugi levels of efficiency.
Thabo Kgwele Considering he was an impoverished thief, I wonder if he was a particularly unlucky gambler, but created a Nen where even when he “loses” he can make the most of the situation.

You were able to do Pariston justice despite the fact that he only started appearing during the Chairman Election Arc while hints about Ging had been dropped from the very beginning. So please. 🙃
I think number 1 should go to "any enhancer whos ability is hit thing real hard" like uvo, gon before figuring out other ways to use his thing, and a few other names bad guys

How is Cheetu not on this list like, multiple times? Rammot's ability is way more useful than Cheetu's multiple terrible abilities. One is a game of tag yet does nothing to force the victim to actually chase Cheetu. One is a crossbow that fires a bolt slower than Cheetu could attack on his own. Those are so bad, they may as well not even be abilities!
I'd say one of my lowest ranked nen abilities here would be the granny bodyguard of the Zoldyk family. All she does is turn into a vehicle, albeit an extremely fast one. Not only is she unable to do anything but move or speak in this form but she requires a driver in order to move. AND the ability takes up the driver's aura as well as the granny's just to move. A whole lot of restrictions and aura usage in order to move slightly faster than killua's Godspeed and nothing else.
@@acporkchop908 Yeah but at least Gotoh's ability does have the strength the shred a tree on its own. Since we aren't talking about the nen users at all here I think how capable she was dosen't matter on how good her nen is. But you right she was kinda cool for the small part she had
I think squala was mainly dealing with normal mafia members so his dogs would do fine against normal people but once you bring in actual nen abilities he probably gets shitted on
I think porcupines abilities are stronger than they appear in the one fight he was in. In that fight it was his job to weaken their opponent while they worked together as a team to bring to him down. Those hairs provide total body offense and defense. Palm has hair armor. The hairs could potentially be fired for a ranged attack, used as springs to power up attacks, or even as pseudo-limbs to move around quickly or grapple things. I think the power is actually quite good. It is the user that fails. If you gave a competent character this ability it might even be op.
And if he could go through some hellish training like how killua did, he could add enough electrical currents flow into his hair, on the person to make them paralyze.

Depending on Binolts interpretation of the condition, why would it be that Farfetched to think that Binolts favorite scissors could change?
NewWorldReview I didn’t recall his Scissors being bound.
People change all the time.
I had favorite sippy cup as a child. ( refused. To drink out of anything else)
Then one day it was “accidentally “ run over...
How did my families car, run it over. While I was inside.
Years later, I have a favorite mug.
Doesn’t it depend on how he trained/agreement he made? ( infusing them with nen)
Sorry ~ somewhat new to HxH.
Could you clarify a bit?
I would argue that if Kurapika's abilities are able to adapt based on those who consider themselves members of the Phantom Troupe, there's no reason why Binolt's ability wouldn't work if he found a new favorite pair of scissors.
If you break your favorite cup, the other cup your take out of your cupboard will not magically become your favorite cup.
so sad... squala never met a dog from the dark continent. lol

The worst nen ability is to *unsubscribe* from the new world review.
i think benolt's ability is actually awesome, imagin if togashi gave it to leorio, he'd be the best doctor in the whole hunter x hunter universe, it was underwhelming only because it was benolt's ability.
Atleast leorio has the emission technique that let's him scan the body for tumoura and other physical ailments
Anyone who can exercise nen who also have a combat hatsu would be a force to be reckoned with

@@hereticsign Yes, Shoikot.
Matthew Cleary lmao exercise is scary
I would have thought that Cheetu's second ability would be on this list since it is just a basic set of claws with a crossbow on it, aka just a regular weapon that someone could easily make or buy.
It was useful is in that situation where he couldn't touch him, but a weapon could. It is terrible, but at least useful for the situation, but still just terrible.
I would assume the crossbow would be considered an aura blast
@@scotty212 I think it's a conjuration ability so no, it's just a real bolt made with nen.
@@brandonchandlerMGnO no it was pretty useless in general. He made it after losing the game of tag ability. That that point he could just fight close range and would have the advantage without the extra ability. It only makes him weaker

GrandLine Review: Feather Blades, the worst Nen Ability
Hawks from MHA: TF ??????
Gaurav Baindur Eh at least Hawks can control them and fly
RIP Squala
The poor dogs :(
The dogs had a sad look to them when he let them run away pretty sure they knew that was his last stop
Considering how horrible leach's ability is
@@drewferguson4787 yes, i forgot i saw this and came to leave a similar comment and talk about how AWFUL leech is
As a fan of DB and YYH, the nen blasts are typically my favorite use of nen. Sure it's simple, but energy blasts will never not be cool. Kinda like the appeal of swords.
The price to pay for lifting kurapika's curse : summoning a nen beast that doesn't let you fap.
The worse Nen ability is to produce a long ass intro.
Subscriber nen is the absolute weakest nen... and yet it’s all we have.
we also have Ring Bell
Zachary Wiggins nah, then my phone would basically send me texts... I don’t ring the bell for any channel.
The intro was clean. You got a sub for that 😭😭
The needle hairs were amazing I simply can not let this statement go without punishment. Where my porcupine stans at?😂
I think he could have closed his ears with hair if he knew what uvogin was about to do.

@@NewWorldReview Hunter x Hunter or one piece
For anyone who hasn’t read the manga, Rammot the Chimera Ant’s ability was just him being able to turn his feathers into blades. The more you know
Love your intros, genuinely cracked up at this one 😂💯
"And feather blades just do not cut it" haha nice.
5 BEST nen abilities:
- Ging abondoning Gon as nen restriction so that Ging becomes the top 3 strongest
- Tonpa crushing rookies for 30 years as nen restriction to create the strongest nen ability: 100-type-juice-machine
- Bungee Gon because it has the properties of both rubber and Gon
- Gon is born with nen. His nen ability is infinite hairgel. It's even stickier than bungee Gon
- Ging's COPY ability, he copies all nen from hunters he meets around the world and puts it into Greed Island spells that he needs to conquer the dark continent
No mention of Cheetu? The whole ability literally defeats itself and he has a crossbow that is slower than he himself is.
@@aaronmcclarnon2434
Given the conditions of the ability, and that you can't be touched for hours, it's safe to assume that if you fail to escape that ability, the effects will be lethal.
If cheetu used his ability well, it would be deadly.
Also, I realize that I called his ability "hide and seek", it's called "tag".
@@chrisj403 Even Cheetu didn't know what would happen if Morel waited for the full 8 hours and based on how dumb he is he probably didn't even put a consequence on it. If he did it's likely not that severe if even Cheetu couldn't remember it.
To be honest being stuck with Cheetu for 8 hours might be the consequence in of itself lol only Morel would have the patience.
@@aaronmcclarnon2434
I might be remembering incorrectly, but Cheetu did know what would happen, he just didn't tell Motel because "there's no point anymore."
Your damn subscribe reels are always so funny. Like 10 videos later and you’ve finally got me. Thank you, sir
With the return of bleach on its way! It would be really good to hear your thoughts on bleach characters and their abilities as well! If you have a large enough interest in it of course!
Cheetu’s tag game ability is awful, he incapacitates himself for 8 hours in a place where he can’t be contacted and the only way to get out is to wait the 8 hours or get himself tagged, which locks his ability forever
you need to give the people that are already subscribed a huge aura boost at the start of every video
I couldn't consider Abangane's ability useless, he'd absolutely have been dead without it. It's also one of those abilities that you don't think you'd need and are useless, until you really need it and are super glad to have it. That and having such a niche ability makes you all the more valuable.
I never said it was useless. In fact I said the exact opposite: "It's far from useless"
Well I guess Komugi's ability to be very good at a board game is a great nen ability because it did allow her to survive
I'm going to destroy my opponents with my subscribe curse. I emit my aura onto them and they cannot use their nen abilities until they subscribe.

Could dog manipulation work on a chimera ant with high dog genes?
And the controlled dogs could have nen as well.
I really appreciate the first like 20 seconds of your videos. You actually make the shameless subscribe recommendation actually entertaining
My Nen is automatically liking the Video
I feel like I should mention that Porcupine's hair managed to pierce through Uvogin's Ten, which a sword couldn't. It seems like the act of getting dozens of needles stabbed into you would be incredibly painful and debilitating, unless you were a master enhancer that didn't feel pain when a large chunk of flesh was ripped out of your leg and shoulder. It's an ability that stops most, if not all physical damage, and would likely be a very powerful ability if Porcupine had any follow up to it.
5:59 you went straight to pubic hair, there is also facial hair, armpit hair or other general body hair. All of which I would choose first.
Charles Hardesty Punic hair is the tastiest

But those who use Nen are usually rich so, if he charges unbelievable high prices he can not only lower the chance by being killed expenationally and make tons of money from those who been cursed
I think that porcupines ability is a little more versatile than you give it credit for. He was trying to make uvo lose the use of his arm. But I imagine he could use it pretty well to block. He could lock his feet to the ground and soften his hair and take pretty much any hit.
The funny thing is i know you re playing me but im gonna subscribe
Haha, I am about to finish Hunter x Hunter and TH-cam knows exactly what I am watching and when. Real slick YT real slick....
this channel be acting like hunter is still going and it makes me have hope
the nen Exorcist could be made powerful if it is not the only ability it have.

@@Rico_Ryan Rohan
Another fault of Scissor Hands is that any opponent worth getting that kind of information on is more than likely strong enough to kill the user while they’re stuffing hair into their mouth. For example, if Benalt managed to snip a lock of say, Phinx’s hair, his neck would be broken before the hair got to his stomach.
You forgot Droid's nen. Wait this isn't best nen users. My bad.
transmutation can actually be used to manipulate the shape of ones aura as well as seen with Zenos ability, so its entirely possible for a transmuter to control what they transmute without manipulation, though they would be somewhat more limited
Top Five Nen abilities:
5. Doctor Blythe/Terpsichora (Pitou)
4. Rising Sun (Feitan)
3. Dragon Dive (Zeno)
2. 100-type Guanyin Bodhisattva (Netero)
1. Skill Hunter (Chrollo)
Skill hunter isn't that great. Definitely top 5, but not the best. Also where's godspeed. That stuff is op

How is Kurapika's ability not on here? He can literally only use most of his abilities on 13 people in the whole world.

The Nen Exorcists isn't just focused on exorcism. Abengone just summon a beast that could remove nen from oneself. He can probably summon fightee beasts too.
This show has 2 fillers holy shit that's beautiful
dog manipulation might be the most efficient use of nen in the series.
the conditions set are so high, and with such a mimiscule benefit on top of the dogs' training, it might be komugi levels of efficiency.
Kite hates the randomness of his hatsu, but is solely responsible for creating it.🤦🏽♂
Thabo Kgwele I think him not being able to just choose the weapon might be part of what makes it strong, like a restriction.
Thabo Kgwele Considering he was an impoverished thief, I wonder if he was a particularly unlucky gambler, but created a Nen where even when he “loses” he can make the most of the situation.
The intro was god like 👏🏽🤴🏾
So we ain’t gonna talk about Cheetu or Komugi? Komugis only works for that game they play
Komogi nen doesn't count, it's not hatsu, she just awaken his nen cause she's very talented and put all her heart into gunji
Another excellent video about my childhood love (HxH). 🙂
Please also make one about the enigma that is Ging Freecs. You were able to do Pariston justice despite the fact that he only started appearing during the Chairman Election Arc while hints about Ging had been dropped from the very beginning. So please. 🙃
Yeah but... More importantly!
*Did you know bungee gum has the abilities of both gum AND rubber!!!?*
No dog parent considers it a burden to take care if their fur babies. So, you wouldn't normally take care of your dogs?

My nen abilities show that I have an affinity towards Subscribing with a slight affinity towards specialization.
Oh my gooooood I can’t believe my favourite one piece channel has a hunter x hunter channel this is epic
You really got me when Hisoka was used as a count down. Bungie Gum is very versatile
Matthew Holbrook tsubone is a beast though, i would say Gotoh and his coins were pretty useless, but his coins shredded a whole tree lol
@@acporkchop908 Yeah but at least Gotoh's ability does have the strength the shred a tree on its own. Since we aren't talking about the nen users at all here I think how capable she was dosen't matter on how good her nen is.
But you right she was kinda cool for the small part she had
Matthew Holbrook I think there’s more to Tsubone, but the creator won’t show it yet lol
Damn nice background music from Ratchet and Clank
Bravo👏
And if he could go through some hellish training like how killua did, he could add enough electrical currents flow into his hair, on the person to make them paralyze.
Yup, I'm of the Subscriber affinity. 😎️
