LOVE this series!! Especially because that's my dream bike. Also great videos Jaret. What you do to this bike is pretty much what I'm going to do to mine. I would recommend the Akrapovic Full Titanium exhaust system for this bike. The bike would look SO much better if the silver parts on the bike ( Next to the headlights, under the pillion and bottom fairing) were replaced by black/carbon fiber. It would give the bike a blacked out look. Great work. Keep it up.
We broke in the Daytona is 15 miles! I think that is so awesome. This is how I will be breaking in ALL of my new bikes from now on. Shout out to Jason from Karns Performance and Bryan from the Triumph Dealer for their hard work. Sign up to be a part of the series here! www.patreon.com/campisicustoms
Jaret you have everything! you are famous, you have a golden voice, rockhard abs, ha beautiful wife, awesome sexlife, symmetrical face and nipples, succes, confidence like a silverback. why didn't you make it as a popstar??
Jaret Campisi in the philippines are all legal to ride a modified bikes the only illegal that was not wearing a helmet so please allow as to join the give away
Not the way to properly break in a bike. Has to be multiple heat cycles. If this was a racing engine with a short life span and being rebuilt every race then yes. For longevity there are no shortcuts. I’ve been building engines for 20 years. I’m out!
I own a ‘17 s1000rr and have done the same. HP is proven to have a slight increase. Besides the even harder testing done at the factor, this is a healthier way to break in the bike.
Gotta love the number of clueless people pretending to be professional engine mechanics on the internet. Your rings are seated in the first 20 miles of riding with a new engine, for starters. What helps seat rings, you ask? Acceleration and engine braking. Gasses in the combustion chamber pressing the rings into the side of the cylinders. Not pussyfooting it around because you read somewhere that a performance engine can't be used for performance written by some dickhead who redlined a cold engine and then threw a rod. As far as piston stretch and whatnot, the worst thing you can do is baby an engine. Because then, 600 miles later when you finally open it up, if the pistons or rods stretch at all, they will hit a part of the cylinder that still has crosshatching/raised metal because you didn't wear the cylinder evenly. As long as the vehicle is warmed up properly and the oil is changed promptly at around 20-50 miles and again at 600, there is absolutely nothing wrong with a hard break in, especially if done by professionals in a controlled environment. Even if the crankcase and gearbox share the same oil, firm and precise shifting as well as a quick oil change will prevent any issues with the gear cogs seating improperly later in the life of the bike. Wanna know why the manufacturer's suggest taking it easy for the first several hundred miles? Because you're on a new unfamiliar vehicle, and if they told you to flog the thing to get the most horsepower out of your engine, you'd end up wrapped around a fucking tree. Hell, half of you can't even ride normally without smoking an object outside of the roadway. Leave the man be. Jaret does a great job with his videos, and as much as he annoyed me with his lack of knowledge in earlier ones, he's definitely come a long way and done a good job. Source: I've rebuilt more than a few engines and always broken them in hard. Thousands of miles later, everything is still well within spec when taken apart for a refresh.
Wow. When he was pushing it into the shop, it looked AMAZING! The rear sets are really great on there. It’s starting to really turn out to be a great looking bike. Might end up being better looking than the Panigale. Keep up the great work man!
Hi Jaret. Great Series. I would definitely support if I was in the states. Awesome bike. I have the same one in crystal white (2014) and I'm loving it now year 2 and going strong. Must express constructive concern on the dyno break in. I'm very curious as to what the rationale is behind this, as I'm hoping you would be able to explain. The regular break in period is around 1000 miles of gradual increase in max RPM and avoiding hard pulls and full throttle. I'm afraid strapping a bike on the dyno will NOT make an engine break in any faster! You're running the same load via the drive train and giving a few runs at 25 % then 50 % then 75 % will not be any different as far as what the engine is feeling. IMHO There are no work-arounds for a proper engine break in or they would start doing these when the engine is built and before selling the bikes. Again kudos for a great serise. Following closely.
Hey Jaret Ive been wanting to upgrade for awhile now Im thinking about January to March I ride a triumph street triple r and I have been thinking about getting a BMW S1000rr, Ducati 959 Panigale or 1299 panigale, I am leaning towards the panigale and I kinda want the 1299 for the additional electronics and dash. What do you think? How much faster than a 675 is the 959 and how much faster is the 1299 and do you think the 1299 might be too much upgrading from a 675?
Im just asking for his opinion because I have seen him ride both I just want more of a comparison because I dont have the time to ride both and I'd rather have his opinion than yours :)
hmmm thats actually a really tough question. First off, they will no longer be selling new 1299's. So if you wanted to go that route I'd just get a the new V4 Panigale. I think it will fix all of the issues the panigale had (heat on the rider, sloppy low rpm response etc) AND the V4 will an amazing engine. I'd say buy the V4 panigale but you'll probably need to pre order one asap as they will be very limited.
Yeah Im poor lol, the V4 is too much for me thats why I was looking at the 2 cyclinders, plus I like the grunt more than a 4 cyclinder. I rode an Fz6r before and the engine completely lacked character which is one reason why Im leaning Ducati over BMW
this doesnt do ANYTHING! you dont need heat cycles, work hardening happens with each rev of the engine. 500miles will be a lot more piston strokes than this. Also, seems he was using only one gear. Gears also need to be broken in so... yeah.
I'm going to ask my independent Ducati mechanic about this. He went to Italy for training, works on highway patrol motorcycles, snowmobiles, hydroplanes etc. etc. If anyone has an opinion, he will! I will post what he says...
Well, he said you could, and Ducati did have certain bikes that dyno break in was recommended for, but just going out riding it normally, street, freeway, up and down gears, not at one speed for extended times, is ideal. The factory just wants to make sure all the gears are working at all speeds before it heads out the door. That is not a break in they are performing. Personally, I think making the bike pull more than just wheel and drivetrain weight (as is the case on a dyno) is a good thing for break in.
That was a very bad idea for so many reasons, remember that the gearbox and the clutch is using the same oil. And no you cant seat the rings in one heat circle
Glenn B. There are many different ways to break in a motorcycle. Jason has been doing tunes and break ins on the dyno for over 20 years so I’m confident the bike will be completely fine.
The break-in period isn't for the engine. They test the engine at the factory FFS. It's all about the gears. And the gears need time to break-in. This was a big mistake. Did you ever think to ask yourself maybe the person who ends up winning this bike would want to be the one to break it in? And I'm calling BS on your theory that the manufacturer just doesn't want the person who gets the brand new bike to rag it right out of the gate for fear of them crashing. If you really believed that you would let the winner break it in themselves to get used to the bike.
please don't do this to a brand new motorcycle. If the manufacturer of your motorcycle asks you to take it easy on the first few miles, it's probably for a good reason.
as all manufacturers test their bikes on the dyno after they've been built, full throttle + shifting gears up & down, my guess is: they say this, because they don't want you to crash it immediately while riding it too hard with zero experience on that particular bike. same goes for cars. probably insurance companies have a huge say in this, too.
FINALLY! I've been waiting all day for this! :D Those revs on the dyno are just... amazing. My favorite music lol
2Wheel Pursuit haha yea this bike just continues to impress us!
I love how you talk, very politely and calm
Jake thegardensnake believes in hard break ins like this. I personally never had a problem with hard breakins. Good shit!

Pistol Pete lol I’m not sure I’d go that far. And my voice isn’t really that great if I’m honest. But I appreciate the compliments. Haha

Hey man, cool video series. What was the final rwhp figure for the bike?!
Not the way to properly break in a bike. Has to be multiple heat cycles. If this was a racing engine with a short life span and being rebuilt every race then yes. For longevity there are no shortcuts. I’ve been building engines for 20 years. I’m out!

Glad to see Suzuki Bandits are still out there in mint condition, like the one that was for sale at Karns Performance. 👍

Thanks for typing that, my thumbs would have cramped👍
Those pulls were awesome.
Loved em ❤
such a great sound!
Great video Campisi. Next one will be interested to see.
6:08 116.42 is a LOT of power!!!
such an awesome bike, wanted one for years, you got to put the Austin racing exhaust, looks and sounds awesome!!!
Totally doing this method when I buy a new bike. Great video!
Awesome way to break in, great vid man keep it going love and peace.
Awesome video Jaret and what an amazing process so that the bike gets broken in correctly 👏 awesome job!! OH HAPPY BIRTHDAY Teens 🎂Adam uk 🇬🇧
Adam Stratford haha thanks buddy and I’ll tell Teens as well!
Very cool video Jaret. Really didn't even know you could do something like that to break a motorcycle in.
haha yeah me either. That's how I'll be breaking in all of my bikes from now on :)
Awesome man
I love all of your videos and I really love bikes
Wow. When he was pushing it into the shop, it looked AMAZING! The rear sets are really great on there. It’s starting to really turn out to be a great looking bike. Might end up being better looking than the Panigale. Keep up the great work man!
Campisiiii, love the videos!
hahaha much love right back!
nice video!
Every one knows about the O ring on the filters...ESP on shaft drive motorcycles. They have a ring on the plug on the shaft Diff.
Hi Jaret. Great Series. I would definitely support if I was in the states.

Yeah!
That was awesome bro..👍👍👍
As of now, which bike do you like better between the 2?
John gillis looks panigale, as a daily rider triumph.
2:24 Beautiful Bikes!!! Great prices too.
SQUADDDDDDDDD
#campisicrew!
Breaking in a new motorcycle should be a process, not an event. I've been riding motorcycles, and broke in several over the past 50 yr's. Slow & Easy!
i wouldn't let the bike shop use a jet wash on my bike... way to much pressure imo to get water forced everywhere its not needed or wanted
Nice one i like
How is the Daytona vs the Ducati I heard they are way more reliable then ducati's according to consumer reports
Doesn't matter on the break in...will be sold One week after Delivery...
How the Triumph vs the Ducati? I heard they are way more reliable according to consumer report's
2:09 can imagine the car drivers looking back and like “what the hell is he doing?”
hahaha oh yeah I never even thought about that
When I read it I thought it said how to break a motorcycle in 15 miles.
haha! I don't now why, but i literally LOL! That would make for an interesting video!
hahaha oh god I hope others don't think that

If you have to ask a stupid question like that then you clearly are not ready for a 1299!
Im just asking for his opinion because I have seen him ride both I just want more of a comparison because I dont have the time to ride both and I'd rather have his opinion than yours :)

poor but considering a Ducati 1299?
Great idea. But limited knowledge about breaking in a new motorcycle
I read the title as "How to break a motorcycle in 15 miles."
Damn bro he over tightened shit of the oil filter great video though good job looking forward to the next ones
Dave the VTWIN addict he was using a torque wrench so it was proper spec. It slipped off from the oil that was on the wrench.
I'm still waiting for the day when JC finally decides to do a custom bobber, with suicide clutch and jockey shift...🤔🤔🤔
I love bikes..looks like my T is kicking in..puberty..19..waiting for my Akula 310..Love from 🇮🇳
much love right back brother!
Don't take this the wrong way Jaret, but you look like the stereotypical Gixxer guy
haha and what exactly is the stereotypical gixxer guy?
Jaret Campisi cool hair, biceps, bro attitude, all you're missing is the tribal tattoos and the spike mohawk helmet
On the other hand, you look like a stereotypical dumbass...
Gixxer lover?
Bjorn Haugen or Jaret lover?

She will be mine o yes she will be mine.
I would personally follow the manufacturers guidelines as thats what its there for, this seemed like a very bad idea.
Just being honest you might want to invest in a better microphone the audio sucks in this video
well would you look at this...im early
and valve adjustment at 1000 miles...
2nd
First loser, and you brag about it...
I'll take a bike how I put in for it
Help plzzz!!!
Guys i crashed my only bike that i have been saving for, for 8 years!!
and it can't be repaired.
Plzzz help me ride again plzzzz!!
Ahhh.....no......always break in a vehicle in accordance with the manufacturer's owners manual.
Aprojeep no you are wrong
That was a very bad idea for so many reasons, remember that the gearbox and the clutch is using the same oil. And no you cant seat the rings in one heat circle
I don't think it was one heat cicle. Aren't dyno break-ins pretty common by very experienced shops?
Bjorn Haugen, it didn't get cold, so yes it was one heat circle
And yes its commen, just like wrong oil is commen in most shops.
We often see blow-by because of excessive wear / bad seated rings
Glenn B. There are many different ways to break in a motorcycle. Jason has been doing tunes and break ins on the dyno for over 20 years so I’m confident the bike will be completely fine.
Jaret Campisi, a lot of people are not seeing the consequences of what they are doing
Hi simple people 😝
Pun intended

TJ lol no you’re wrong
You clearly haven't been following the build. He plans on doing power mods, which the bike has to be broken in for.
please don't do this to a brand new motorcycle.
My buddy Han is right...you cant give a new bike to a dude/dude ete and say have at it, ......lawyers
Usman Mohammad you must not know about motorcycle break in. They dyno the motor before and after manufacture much harder before release.
Yeah, the good reason being lawyers.
Very wrong
What a waste of a good bike. Sad.
Can you elaborate on that? All we've been doing is adding premium parts and had the break in and first service done...
