Some of *the* best acting I have ever seen aswell. No matter how many times I watch that scene it absolutely blows me a way each time, it’s just so powerful.
13:42 Alfie's monologue is incredible. From her responding to "unjustified" with "how?" and then a moment later going... okay, he's making some points here. Great scene.
How award shows work - Lesson 1. British Award ceremonies like BAFTA nominate British shows. American Award ceremonies like the EMMYS nominate American shows. Peaky Blinders is a 100% British show commissioned, funded, produced and broadcast by the BBC, with extra funding from Screen Yorkshire. Based on what you've said, the EMMYS are clearly one of the only British or American Award ceremonies following their own rules... As countless British and American Award ceremonies have broken their own rules over the last 10 years, by nominating shows which were not commissioned, produced and first broadcast by their own country.
On today's age any kind of award only obeys to backhand commercial pocket-filling and big production interests, not the actual quality of what you are watching. Peaky Blinders is an example of that, but certainly not the only one.
@@nutty784 He was so good in that film. That was 20 years ago… damn. But his filmography and television series roles have a lot of great acting on his part. He was the best character in his recent role on House of the Dragon.
YO! Big props to the editors on this one and the series so far. This ep in particular has some amazing scenes which i've seen other channels cut and hack. But the flow and keeping the majority of the big scenes like Tommy n Alfie's interaction and the end scene were kept long to help preserve the tension and reaction. Great edits, reactions, look forward to next season!
My unpopular opinion, but I find him really annoying and I only managed to watch their scenes once in the reactions I obviously skip I recognize the actor's talent in the characterization of Alfie is very well done, but I can't listen to him for a long time.
Alfie casually ranting about the moral compass in a room full of morally corrupted men will always be the best scene in TV history, really hope Alfie is in the film
One of the very best scenes in TV history between Tommy and Alfie, phenomenal acting, how Cillian didn't get more nominations and awards for his portrayal of Tommy Shelby is a baffling mystery.
this is porbably my favourite season finale in this show, a lot of people love season 4 but i just feel like there is so much powerful scenes and dialogue in this one that we dont really get in any other finale
Also this season is imo the most thematically central to the entire show. The constant escalations, the "one more job" tragedy, the conflict between business and family, moral corruption and survival, love and a life that doesn't allow for love. This season's got everything that makes this show great
Ughhgg the cliffhangers were rough -- there were two fecking YEARS between some of the seasons.. I'm sure scheduling all of those a-list actors in between their projects was a bitch🙃, but the quality is Impeccable and I wouldnt want to give up even a drippy drop of its pure badassery in order to see it sooner. Plus it gave me time to rewatch the series in its entirety, before each season dropped.
just letting you know girls that it hasn't been added to the playlist yet so when i press the 'skip button' it doesn't take me to the next ep (from ep 5)
Paddy Considine 👏 I wanted to take that priest out myself. I don't know if it's an Irish thing given the extent of control the Catholic Church had right up until the 90s, but he captured certain mannerisms and just the general holier than thou attitude of what I imagine priests in Ireland were like during that era and beyond.
God this show gets so depressing after this season. Not that it's bad it's just depressing to watch Tommy be miserable for 4 seasons straight. With Grace his chance at love and happiness died. He lacks real objectives since the money and power bring no fulfillment. His work puts his family in danger and/or pushes them away, and relaxing or taking time off work drives him crazy since it forces him to deal with his PTSD and deep depression. The next season is considered by many to be the worst of the 6, and tbh the writing isn't great, but it does offer great moments and quality acting.
@@brownsey1 I know how crazy ppl can get with their opinions, but that one just doesn't make sense since he clearly loved that woman. Plenty of supporting evidence too, but 🤷♂ My point was to what they said in the end of the video. That after the season was over and they achieved the objectives, it still felt like a tragic season and it didn't feel like a win - unlike the previous seasons where bad ish happened but it still felt like a W. l was just agreeing w/o spoiling anything. Tommy is just miserable, alone, depressed and suicid@l the rest of the show. I guess those that relate to those feelings prob believe he was like that since birth idk

@@Hc56778 lol Luca is ok the acting was not the best, but it's ok. The plot in season 4 is a mess tho. Ok? I could go on with things that annoy me with this season, but I don't want to bore you.
That ice shown at the end isn’t going to thaw, the whole northern hemisphere is now frozen permanently, I think. A new ice age. Humans, and most animals, will now have to live in southern hemisphere lands. Until another climate shift at least.
Love how Alfie only gets mad after hearing “you’ve crossed the line”
