Great job with the water pipes. I would put a brace under the pipes as when that tank fills up its going to gush out of there and weigh more. Hope you all have a fab weekend.
Agree - I have a similar setup and noticed a slow drip at the tank adapter when the pipes started sagging from the weight. A cinder block on end just happened to be the right height to support the pipe on mine.
Yessssssss ! You got it ! The overflow on the second tank is your vent ! No need for an overflow pipe from the first tank to the second ! You should put a screen on the overflow to prevent mosquitoes from coming in and reproduce. Good job !
I was watching this on my TV and then I found it on my phone to comment. Do yourself a favor for the kitchen island and get yourself a rolling toolbox with a butcher block top. It’s the best thing for a kitchen island you’ll ever find. Seriously. It’s the best. Mine is stainless and matches my appliances and looks awesome. Plus you can easily roll it whenever you want it.
Hi, Jason! The turkeys are huge and beautiful. The chickens are looking great. Your bucket story this morning cracked me up. I admire your sense of humor. Is that your Forty dollar bucket?
I just want to say I have finally caught up! I watched every video from the first new homestead video and it took me roughly 2 weeks! You’re allowing me to live vicariously through you until my wife and I start homesteading as well! Thank you Jason, Loraine, and Penelope!
In my opinion…. you are a Very Good 👍🏻 example of a healthy masculine man who has Good Authentic energy and a Treasure box 🧰 FULL of values, standards, principles and morals. You and your wife are very Good 👍🏻 role models for others. Thank you 🙏🏻 for being such Good 👍🏻 human beings!! 💜 🤍
Love this video and your ability to see what you need then make it happen. The center brace is a good idea. Just something for the pipe to rest on to take the stress off the joints. 👍 Did you see Al from Lumnah Acres wearing your logo winter cap in his Saturday video? 🥰
I am going to vote for bracing the pipe with a simple shelf-type thing that won't hinder pipe removal on super cold forecast nights. I eagerly await Lorraine's Island adventure and an autumn high tunnel update.
Hopefully you got some rain from the hurricane. I was so thankful I got a good bit because I’m sick of watering!! I think a brace for the pipe is a good idea, especially if it’s going to be hanging there full of water! Turkeys are beautiful and I love their sounds 🎶
When you figure out how much water you need to use for all your needs, then you’ll know how many tanks to build. Always remember to have plenty extra too.
Hi... Merry Christmas 🎄 Jason and Loraine and pynlope nice to see you all love watching your video homestead beautiful great good job 🎄🏡🐔🐓🐣🐥🐤🦃🐑🐄🐖🐷🐝🎥👋 bye 👋 bye 👋 bye 👋👍👍👍
I can't tell where your tanks are in relation to the future pond area but you could attach a hose to the 2nd tank overflow hole and run it to a swale or something else you'd like to keep moist.
You did a great job with connecting the tanks. I have to agree with the idea of having some kind of brace for the pipe to help prevent sagging. Also, loved seeing you playing with the turkeys (which are huge, by the way!).
I think your a very intelligent person. You have thought out your design with pros and con of why you made your water system this certain way. Not just an outlet for a regular water hose hook up. Very efficient system. Hope you can have your design on your web page. Save all the water you can. Now back to the island build. Saw her gleam and smile of her dream island. Essing
GREAT JOB 👍 On saving water Maybe you can save more water. Not stopped, Pausing in the kitchen. That was good, Lorraine . You're such a BLESSING to each other. True family of 3❤❤❤. ALWAY A PLESURE TO WATCH YOUR VLOGS. SE MICHIGAN 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 GREAT FRIDAY SHOPTALK
Use pool noodles from dollar tree to insulate and definitely put a brace on that because when it starts pouring that water really fast it could snap and I’d put braces in the middle between those two tanks for extra support. That’s a lot of water you’re gonna be collecting great job.
Excellent answer Lorraine. Putting a pause on instead of stopping. 🛑⏯⏸ The food is so good coming from your kitchen that doing more, the better the food gets. I agree some bracing needed. Keeping it simple so its easy to remove pipe. I think your Water cannon puts out about a gal in 5 seconds. Fun video and beautiful looking turkeys.
BTW, I love watching you feed the pigs, move the chickens and all the farm chores that you do. Lorraine & your daughter's cooking is awesome too! Was that a $40 bucket? Shouldn't it be rimmed in gold gilt? LOL, kidding.
I say wrap your water pipes with an insulator of some type. A pool noodle is probably to small, even if cut in 1/2 or 3rds. I had a hot tub and one of those valve things. It was rounded off from the previous home owner. I tore the thing out and the tub too.
Good stuff! There's nothing like the rain, falling down again To come and wash away the pain There's nothing like the rain, falling down again To clear the air so we see again!
The turkeys are huge and gorgeous! (Not that gorgeous matters on the plate - lol) It took me until the end to understand how the second tank was going to fill up 🤪🥴😵💫 but I see now. I bet you'll end up wanting to brace that pipe, but time will tell. It's nice you can remove the whole thing in one piece!
Hi Jason. Glad you got your rain water system done. The amount of rain water you get is amazing !! And it’s free ! ( other than the cost of catchment systems). Imagine your water bill if you didn’t have it. 😮 I was thinking how the home and improvements on it usually take a back seat to the farm itself. Only so many hours in a day. Plus cost is a big factor. I’m happy for Lorraine to get the kitchen started on its fix up. You guys are so impressive 😊
You need some slope to the pipe connecting the two bins. Also, you have hot and cold water bins. See the handles. Though the hot water is typically on the left. :)
Nice work! I hope we can make a rain harvesting project like yours. I’m thinking you could install an outlet valve in the middle between the tanks so there’s no chance of it extending past the tanks. Then provide a support system for the middle section between the tanks. ❤🎉
I think you might need a support in the middle of the long water pipe. Maybe some type of bracket or support which is attached to the water container's table. Water is heavy.
The kunes and turkeys are getting huge! We haven't had any rain NE TN for almost 2 months. My grass is DEAD! I have not seen it this dry since we moved here from CA in 16 years
My experience with those pvc valves is the more frequently they are used the better they do. It’s when you let them sit for a long time that they seize up.
For the water cannon LOL, I'd close both tank valves then drain the cannon. Keeps water out of the cannon all of the time. just a thought. Looks great!
1:12 Jason playing with his food again lol. Good job 👍🏻
Great job with the water pipes. I would put a brace under the pipes as when that tank fills up its going to gush out of there and weigh more. Hope you all have a fab weekend.

Looks pretty good
You may well need a brace of some kind in the middle.
Yes it may be a good idea to remove it in the winter because it may freeze
Jason a simple fix to support your “canon” would be a chain or bungee wrapped around the pipe and attached to the bars of the tote cage.
Nice! Thanks for looking out
i love the turkeys running around with you lol hugssssss
Fun!
I'm so happy for you guys with your new kitchen! A folding table might help Lorraine get by in the kitchen until you build her that island.
“Pause” 😂😂😂 Getting it done. Enjoyed your video. 💚
Dang, those Turkeys have to be the largest you've ever grown. They're huge!
I think for doors on the pantry, they have frost glass doors that say pantry on them I think that would be awesome for there ❤
Jason, Add some metal straps to put more support on the 1 1/2" pipe to the metal caga of the tanks. To take some weight off the faucet
connection.
Hi, Jason! The turkeys are huge and beautiful. The chickens are looking great. Your bucket story this morning cracked me up. I admire your sense of humor. Is that your Forty dollar bucket?
Bucket Life!

I would definitely brace the plastic water line. I could see it bouncing when you turned the water on. The kitchen with the pantry looks beautiful!
Love this video and your ability to see what you need then make it happen. The center brace is a good idea. Just something for the pipe to rest on to take the stress off the joints. 👍 Did you see Al from Lumnah Acres wearing your logo winter cap in his Saturday video? 🥰
Awesome job Jason!!! No stopping the kitchen reno, just pause it for a little bit! Blessings!
Jason's out playing with the turkeys again!
Maybe this winter Jason has to get some gutters on the big barn and collect water. You can never have enough water.
So nice to see you actually have a good turkey harvest! Lord knows youve tried in the past. Congrats
Your water system is working well; you are doing a terrific job. The kitchen redo looks great. The animals look healthy... all is well. David and Lee
I am going to vote for bracing the pipe with a simple shelf-type thing that won't hinder pipe removal on super cold forecast nights.
I eagerly await Lorraine's Island adventure and an autumn high tunnel update.
The animals are all looking great. Good job on the water system.
I d put a couple of brackets on. It looks like it could use it. Your kitchen is a thing of beauty!! Can’t wait to see the island. Love your channel!
Jason
I honestly think that you could build anything you put your mind to
Your very creative and talented 😊
Hopefully you got some rain from the hurricane. I was so thankful I got a good bit because I’m sick of watering!! I think a brace for the pipe is a good idea, especially if it’s going to be hanging there full of water! Turkeys are beautiful and I love their sounds 🎶

Yes, put some bracing under the pipe. Better safe than sorry.
I was surprised you didn’t paint the pvc black. Great results on your idea. Fingers crossed for rain.
I think it attracts the heat, may break down/become brittle sooner.
Yeah, get a foam insulation cover for the white pipe and support it with bracing!!
Hi... Merry Christmas 🎄 Jason and Loraine and pynlope nice to see you all love watching your video homestead beautiful great good job 🎄🏡🐔🐓🐣🐥🐤🦃🐑🐄🐖🐷🐝🎥👋 bye 👋 bye 👋 bye 👋👍👍👍
Mr Jason, That is a very impressive flock of turkeys... I am so happy for you all Blessings Rick
Use galvanized hanging straps from the metal bracing of IBC totes to support pipe.
Turkeys are looking great. I like how you created your water system.
Your turkeys sound so cute!❤❤❤
The kitchen looks great!
Thank you!! 😊
That water catchment system is great! The ball valve will freeze if it gets cold enough.
Love the sound of turkeys. And I am totally impressed with your rainwater-saving system. Go you!
Love the Turkeys following Jason!
Awesome video!
I like the way you connected the two water containers.
Thank you very much!

Sorry meant to write 'blessings'
Great job on this collection system. Thanks for sharing. Have a Blessed day.
GREAT JOB 👍
On saving water Maybe you can save more water.
Not stopped,
Pausing in the kitchen. That was good, Lorraine .
You're such a BLESSING to each other.
True family of 3❤❤❤.

Thanks for the tip!
You are a very good teacher!
Thank you!
Thank you! 😃
A brace in the middle is a great idea
Awesome idea and yes I think a bracelet would be good.
Jason, is there an air vent at the top of the red tank? Get-a let the air out to get the water in.
The overflow at the top of the tank will work as a vent. 13:10
That fills a five gallon bucket fast!
Jason, stop playing with your food! lol Love your attitude.
Great job Jason...like it. Tks for video....much love to you and family.......

The turkeys are ready for thanks giving 🦃 God bless
Love your ingenuity!
Hey Jason! I love my Sow the Land shirt!!!
BTW, I love watching you feed the pigs, move the chickens and all the farm chores that you do. Lorraine & your daughter's cooking is awesome too! Was that a $40 bucket? Shouldn't it be rimmed in gold gilt? LOL, kidding.
Blessings from Ontario Canada. Love all your videos. You always put a smile on my face😊
i think i would put some strings around the pipe and hook that to the metal holder on the tanks.
I just Love the turkey cooing❤
Thank you for sharing!

Put your garden hose spigot on their for your 3/4 inch garden hose
You and your lovely wife are people of many talents ❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️🌹
Hi, perhaps to secure the ipes, you could tie the pipes to the aluminium cage?? Lorraine Australia
thumbs up Jason keep the vlogs coming love them best wishes from Englandxx
Thanks 👍
Can you link those locks or where you found them. Thanks
I have a 4x55gallon system...... similar plumbing.... note: add window screen over over-fill hole
Put 2 wire hangers up to the metal cage as support.
You could rotate the bins so piping is between the two barrels.
Need a little bench under your pail, most u use is 5 gal , nice job again,
Hi Jason. Glad you got your rain water system done. The amount of rain water you get is amazing !! And it’s free ! ( other than the cost of catchment systems). What about a tool chest for her island. The butcher block topped one. .?
🎉 Jason, what do you do with all the feathers at harvest? I have them all over the yard from molting. They don't compost real well. Thanks
Great job
You can drain your connector piece in the winter by closing off your IBC totes and leaving the "spigot" end open.
You need some slope to the pipe connecting the two bins.
Also, you have hot and cold water bins. See the handles. Though the hot water is typically on the left. :)
Those PVE valves work great. Cut a 2x6 and put it under the cam locks for support
support bracket sounds like a good idea, take the weight off the connections...
O, LARDY, Jason, you're a riot!!
Fantastic Jason!
Nice work! I hope we can make a rain harvesting project like yours. I’m thinking you could install an outlet valve in the middle between the tanks so there’s no chance of it extending past the tanks. Then provide a support system for the middle section between the tanks. ❤🎉

Hoping for rain! Your turkeys look great! So fun.
The kunes and turkeys are getting huge! We haven't had any rain NE TN for almost 2 months. My grass is DEAD! I have not seen it this dry since we moved here from CA in 16 years
No, she wants her island!! LOL!! Good job with the kitchen, I prefer a darker, log cabin type home.
Jason, if you have electricity (battery/solar/etc) to this water tank area, perhaps you can wrap the pipe with heat tape for winter time.
My experience with those pvc valves is the more frequently they are used the better they do. It’s when you let them sit for a long time that they seize up.
Yes, I would put a bracket or piece wood to support the middle of pipe!
For the water cannon LOL, I'd close both tank valves then drain the cannon. Keeps water out of the cannon all of the time. just a thought. Looks great!
I just love your videos! I look forward for your video!😂💕
so, with the ball valve shut, you can leave the drain valves open on the tanks and then they will fill at the same time during the rainy periods.....
That attachment needs some support Brother
awesome job, Jason. Your a gentleman and a scholar. ❤❤🙏🙏👀👀
Looks good Jason! I would think about putting that brace in the middle.
Good job! I would be tempted to brace that up a bit as in the summer it may sag from getting warm - might not too. But better safe than sorry.
