    I never am concerned about left overs not being eaten soon enough or all off fall from food prep as with my chickens, guineas and big geese, it all gets exchanged into eggs😄. I love it!!!! God is so Great to make this work! Thank you Jesus❤

    you can use the barn hose and new pump to refill the pumpkin water barrels since the barn hose can be tied to your big tote of water.

    Theres a portable solar on demand water pump you can fit into the system and have 45-60 psi water pressure as needed on the water tower

    Friendly Suggestion:
    Hook the barrels together at the bottom and you'll draw water from both barrels. Change the top hose to your air vent. This will fill & empty the barrels at the same rate. 💚🌞

    I never knew about the battery powered pumps. That is a game changer for me. Our food forest does not have easy access to water so we pump water into a 275gallon tote and have it up there. It is gravity fed and takes foooorevvver to water the trees and plants. This is so portable and light. Also recommend you tie those barrels together at the bottom and have better pressure and the tanks will drain at the same rate. The squash vine borer can be killed with BT. It is an organic insect killer. Inject with a syringe & needle some into the plant above the entry area of the borer and shoot down. Get a big gauge needle for this. I recommend this for all your squash plants.

    Did you get your white truck back? Super cool about the battery op water pump!! Dig up the larvae grub & feed to the chickens. Theres a powder you can buy thats a good microbe that kills the grubs, they lay eggs under grass too, this good microbe powder kills them but hurts nothing else. Yiu put 1 TBsp every 4feet. Its takes 2 yrs to spread.

    A few years ago, I read that planting radishes in a circle around your squash plants will deter squash borers. It seems to be working for me, but I only grow a few squash plants a year.

  • @tammyt870

    You need one of those overhead sprinklers on a tripod to hook up to your barrels and pump

  • @allenheiden2807
    @allenheiden2807 ปีที่แล้ว

    You should be able to hook that right to well water. It will help with it flowing faster. Also try hooking up a large sprinkler on a tripod. You could turn it on and walk off. Plus, you would get a more even watering.

  • @sallyburkett-caskinette8723

    David the Good has a fascinating way of growing pumpkins: every several feet he digs a DEEP hole wherein he buries a bunch of organic matter (including dead animal parts like fish heads). The he plants his seeds within a few feet of hole. The plants will send tap routes to find the buried nutrients and send out runners to cover the area
