Your excitement is contageous af, absolutely loved this episode! Also, that guitar sounds beautifully beastly - p.s. please make this riff a song!
This is my new favorite series on TH-cam. So sick dude, will be habitually tuning in every week 🤌🏻
Thanks so much dude!! Gotta get you on here asap 🤘
At this point I’m watching TRT for remy. The riffs are an Added bonus. Remy for life😊
this is what I call joy-writing/joy-playing. the teary eye when you write something epic is totally real man! I also got teary eyes while I was listening to that lead part! it is very sick!
BRO YES. I love that you shared your emotional response to your own music. I’m a recovering perfectionist, and I will never forget experiencing the joy of truly loving something I have made like you have in this video
I don't even own a Kiesel but every time I pick up my guitar I think 'Tell him to get the Kiesel!'
This gives me heavy Mark Holcomb mixed with Intervals vibes! Of all the riffs I think would make killer songs, it's this and your Sonic song!
Plini x Nick Broomhall ... the collaboration we always knew we wanted.
Down
Defo Plini vibes!
"Pleasing to your dog ears" had me dead. I always ask my dog if he likes my riffs too. He doesn't though. They make him panic and poop on the floor. Remy is such a good boi.
It’s so great to get to watch your enthusiasm and passion for the writing process. Amazing content as always
Such a humble and likable dude. Insane musician. Im stoked for the new thick riff album!
This is simultaneously the THICKEST and least gain riff you have done. Dayuuuum son!
Proper anime vibes! Way to go Nick!
Incredible! NICK! You're constantly blowing me away. I so look forward to these videos every week!
Dude this has to be the TRT riff you actually make in to a song 👌🏻 absolutely rips
this gives off david maxim micic plus intervals vibes
This track was sooo dope. Love your excitement and joy when you create and do your thing! Keep going dude
Intervals + Volumes style I love it
Golden! Just pure gold.... The fact that you take us through the process from start to finished riff (I know there are aaaa loooot of things going on in between the takes that end up in your video eventually don't worry lol) and that the UNKNOWN element is always so obvious....man...that makes it worth watching, learning, enjoyable and soooo satisfying in the end.... And I can exactly understand your excitement and satisfaction when you nail just the right take, the right solo, melody, harmony since I'm doing also the same thing when making music....Ahh so satisfying 👏👏👏Keep it up Nick!
Such a sick main riff and that strummed out fill chord is beautiful my man
I always feel like the episodes when you just come up with ideas are your best, they are super inspiring! And I appreciate you doing those
By far the most epic lead written in this Thick Riff Thursday series. No wonder why you are so happy about it. Just beautiful and melodic. The ending is just a cherry on top of cake.
This is probably my favorite thing you've ever written. And that's saying ALOT. But your excitement for it makes it even better 🤘
I wish I were HALF as talented as you are. You totally nailed this!
Nick......Ive gotta tell ya......
Not only is your music inspirational and flat out badass......but I just love watching you create. Your emotional outwardness is just so honest. A lot of us get it man......cause we're likewise.
Thanks for another killer Thick Riff Thursday!!!!
This was a ton of fun to watch! Great flow to the video.
Yeah, baby! That emotion right there at 8:48 is what art and creation are all about! We're so lucky we get to do this sh*t!!
This one was so sick. That lead tone was incredible.
Crunchy water is your good luck charm, gotta have it in every video now.
I used to have it in videos all the time but this video was the crunchy water comeback. It's here to stay
Nick is every musician when they get super excited about something they wrote and it’s fucking fantastic. This also might be my favorite one of these videos. Watching you come up with ideas off the cuff and create them on the spot is so cool to see.
Thanks dude! So glad you enjoyed 🙏
Cheers mate, happy to support the kids and more music in the world.
😂I work in a Health Center and we have to actually thicken water for residents that issues swallowing.
I loved seeing how excited you got over that riff! Definitely gave me KSE lead vibes Adam D is a beast on Guitar and it totally had his vibes. Enjoyed this episode a lot!
It's criminal you don't have more subscribers
That was nuts. Great work!
Absolutely killer!
This rips, man! An absolute masterpiece ♥
YO! You know when you hear a process from start to finish and it gives you ideas and that itch? Well brother you are contagious.
The doggo in the back is a tied with the riff for my favorite part of the video. Awesome as always, bro!
Just had a tooth filled this a great relief to watch thanks
The Morgan it so great. It was great to watch you work with it. Your tone is just awesome on this!
LOL this was sick mate you crack me up. your reaction in the lead was priceless
That was supremely epic
The way you get excited while writing reminds me of myself. I was literally getting just excited while watching. i've never hit subscribe so quick.
Best youtube front page recommendation in a very long time!
2024 off to a HOT start!
That face at 8:50. Fun times.
The pause just staring at the camera was the same face I woulda made after writing something of pure beauty 🤣🤣🤣 killer video man
Ah!!! This was so awesome man!
Love how excited you got. Song reminds me of old Polyphia. Please continue this one!!!
You are too good! Your channel will get huge
Mannnnn that lead and riff combo is so freaking tasty! when you hit the harmony part my jaw dropped!
I live for those low tuned split coil tones
Dude over here improvising shit 10x better than the stuff I spend weeks writing lmao.
Mate I know you get this a lot but from your reaction this one really needs to be a full song! Proper goose pumps you are sooooo underrated mate
It is like you were straight up channelling Aaron Marshal. That lead is so tasty, damm!
Seeing mah Nib over reacting on his solo building process made my whole week, i genuinelly smiled with you here dude....
I see you changed your keyboard, those minimalistic gamer keyboards rules, muuch love my Niib!
You're the most inspirational guy on the internet
Damn. Some of your best work. Good stuff.
PLEASE tell me this became a full song?! I NEEEEED it good sir! ❤🔥
Hell ya man! Great lead! 🔥
this is beautiful
What a riff to start 2024. Dat solo was sexy af
Love how you're being your own hype-man! :D Rightfully so!
This is so good!
Sick riff, solid lead!
Some of your finest work Nick my god
Thanks dude!!
best riff youve wrote
2:18 “who said walk?!”
It was nice seeing you start from scratch, no idea what you're going to play beforehand.
Inception is one of my all time favorite movies btw. 😉
"Do you want to take a leap of faith? Or become an old man, filled with regret, waiting to die alone?"
I definitely can see a new THICK keyboard down there!❤
Sparkling jello!
Killer lead and main riff man! It would be cool to see how you have Logic set up and any tips or tricks for recording. Thanks
I think the first take of the solo was the best, honestly
Best Thick Riff Thursday imo
you're goated asf
I found your channel like a week ago and its become my favorite thing ever. I've watched sooooo many TRT's and you write the sickest shit, i swear to god.
Thoroughly enjoyed watching this video coming from the short tik tok clip!
i will use crunchy water from here on out-another static water lover
Anytime Nick gets a new plug-in “so I’ve dialled in some NIIIIIICCCEEEE tones”
Very Intrvals-ish, great as always
If you release another collection of your Thick Riff Thursday riffs, please include a sample of your auto tune micro interludes, idk how else to describe them but it makes every watching so entertaining
This one fuuuuucks dude. Hell ya!
Love this creativity! Inspiring to watch. I like the melody and harmony bits.
My well has been pretty dry this past year - well mostly. Hoping it's just a season. I'm just gaming because music isn't flowing.
Seeing you using your fretwrap
whilst recording gives me validation. And here i was worried about all the haters telling me i was lazy in my videos past.
Tell them guys to go F themselves hahah. You can use what ever you want and play what ever you want as long as you enjoy it and it sounds good they can do one babe. Most professional guitarists use them in the studio!
This sounds like a Bulb demo from the best timeline of Earth
Didn’t even notice the can until you pointed it out! Sicc Thicc Riffff my guy!
Glad it wasn't too annoying. Someone thought it was sponsored by Trader Joes 😂
@@nickbroomhallmusic some day!
on the topic of thick water, its a thing. You can get it at the pharmacy and its for people that have trouble swallowing something that doesnt have substance, like water. Its basically water and honey, its also not great.
Much buen.
tell em to bring out the new year
The solo reminds of some old Erra leads
I love the real idk what to call it, "girth" this plugin has with the distortion.
I find archetype nolly to be really similar. I don't know what to call it either, it's just thick.
Best series on youtube ;)
Thanks dude! Your stuff absolutely rips
That lead is very sabrozo! Make this a full song 🤘
Nice new keyboard dude!
Ya its sick
Dude, I am now sitting in my bedroom studio (very similar to yours) writing and finishing songs in two days with your inspiration. A few things I'm curious about, what drums do you use, and what resources can you recommend for learning guitar theory?
I am a drummer first, so I tend to be a very rhythmic guitar player, however I'd like to expand my melodic vocabulary. When I think I've figured it out, I hear this shit and head back to the drawing board.
You remind me of my good homies and it keeps me coming back. Appreciate you big time!
I need this tone in a quad capture
it'll be cool to put a unison line in with the second half of the lead with like a bell type of synth!
Giving wicked like, early Polyphia, Intervals, and Pomegranate Tiger vibers. I fucking dig it. The suite sounds sick.
Sounds to my ears like a mix between Olly Steele and Renaissance era Polyphia, really cool stuff! One question: I've seen you program bass in some videos, and play it live in others. What informs your decision to choose the one approach or the other?
Thick riffff
