thick riffs are now what i look forward to on thursdays
Yeah man, I've found myself actually searching for the new episodes before they come out 😂
Ah, Thick Riff Thursdays. A perfect way to relax after work.
So real bro just got off my shift now I’m watching him before I go to the gym😂😂
All you need is some spacey Invent Animate style production guitars on here and this is an S Tier banger immediately. Unreal how consistently you write these!
Came here for the riffs, stayed for Remy the Grafted.
I was just sick too, and I finished Elden Ring yesterday. Glad you’re not Maidenless bro
YAY its Thick Riff Thursday! Love it.
New 2024 marketing strategy for the channel - Make so many layers of chords that it's impossible to learn by ear & you must tune in to watch thick riff Thursday every week. Genius play tbh
"Lemme use my brain to figure out the major third of F#." Dude, you got a keyboard in front of you. xD
Every week, I look forward to thursday now
Best channel ever
Loving this! Regarding the mic at the drumming, part of me thinks the way you’re doing this is already perfect and it sets the drum take/scene apart from the rest. Love your channel.
Elden Ring as a first souls game is absolutely incredible by the way.
Man how do you come up with these ideas! Freakin beast. I feel like these ideas live deep in my head and then you bring them to life every Thursday. Love the content!
I think it would worth a video, or maybe even more than 1. Sometimes I have an idea but then the other parts are so damn hard to figure out, sometimes I finish an idea and then try to start fresh and I don't have any good ideas for weeks.
Thick riff thursdays have gotten so thick that even Nick's keyboard has that THONK~
Nick, you’re building an incredible body of work. It’s inspiring to watch you do this week after week. By any chance do you plan to release these ideas as full songs someday?
Thanks so much! Yes definitely! A few of these TRT riffs have turned into full arrangements already. Just waiting to put enough stuff together for a release!
I think it would be awesome a few tips about mastering, because the way you get that sound is really admirable
watching your channel has inspired me to write a lot of thicc riffs
Night Drive vibes 🌴
no surprise nick broom got the sweeps
7:05 Big Brain
Can’t go to sleep without thick riff Thursday.. I’ll sleep better now.
Thick riff Thursday feels like getting off of work on a Friday for the weekend ❤️
Sexyou always inspire me and then im reminded of my bad wrist pain :( spending more time trying to play without it hurting than actually writing songs
I absolutely feel your pain. My wrists are so bad it's a test of manhood just to play for more than a half hour.
I'm not a massive fan of this style of music, but I love watching these and seeing how efficient you are in Logic Pro. Have you, or would you make a tutorial series going over tips and tricks in logic? things like how you record in riffs, how you get midi in so quickly, or even keyboard shortcuts.
Hello, i am a quiet viewer but i have to say, thanks für Thick Riff Thursday for me its always Thick Riff Friday, you make my fridays always sweet with those videos. Thanks a lot greeting from germany!
Absolutely in love with today's riff GYATTTT
Reminds me of Cloud Cascade - Invent Animate. Sick job!
"oh no! That was off by a sixteenth note"
You must have answered this question a thousand times, but seeing you playing drums I wonder : are you left handed ?
Cheers man, love your stuff
At the 16-second mark, it would be cool to come in with a melodic lead. Maybe a tapping one. That'd fit perfectly.
A thick layer Thursday love to see it! Drum cam is a nice touch too!
You should do a thick riff sessions only on days that end in y. Im' addicted.
Solid riff dude. You're becoming one of my favorite content creators.
Thursday thursday thursday! Fock! It's Nick time!
Definitely feeling some Killswitch type vocals over this
this is by far one of my fav riffs so far ive seen in this series! keep it up my guy
I love your dog who's always sleeping under your desk whenever you play drums
She's a very good dog
Amazing as always ❤
Really loving this series. Keep making 'em
Really cool vibe, another great riff bro!
You really just want to bring the maximum amount of pain to the poor soul trying to learn this by ear
This hits haaaaaard! Amazing, man! ❤🔥
I wish I had a hug from your Kiesel Guitar for every layer you included for this riff.
It would cure my CPU.
😂 I'm not sure about CPU but they've been known to cure depression
Love this series!
watching your recording process is so enjoyable and informative
Stay Thicc!
I missed last week’s episode, watching both now back to back 😛
this is epic - thank you for giving me inspiration 🫶🏻
Oh yeah! Thursdays!
Another banger man! You're awesome :D
riffs so thick my desk was shaking!!! Love your vids
Someone gift this man a double kick pedal
Maaah Niiiiib, theres more layers in this riff project than in my photoshop files hahahaha
PS: Last TRT i was traveling, but when you posted that i wacthed from my friend's PC account, so i subscribed to you from his account hahaha mind games.
Nick Broomhall has such an individual sound, I love it
Definitely look forward to these each week. As I get more into home recording, any suggestions on learning resources for using a DAW, getting good bass, guitar, and drum tracks, etc?
do a studio tour man.. pleeeeeaseee❤
I love this content
okaaay dude
so much talent man.. also a freaking drummer!
Hahah thanks Kelly!
sickk
Becoming a big fan of these videos
Great stuff as always man. This is such a random question but I see you got a new keyboard (typing, not midi) within the last couple weeks, what'd you get? I've been looking for a new one
man this guitar would have looked even more sick with evo gold frets
Would it be possible to just get your ggd PV preset? I don't really want all the other stuff in your templates, but I love the drum sound you have.
Thursdays are always a highlight for me!
Also, do you have any official links to Kiesel or are they just your ideal guitars?
Almost gets to Thrice vibes here
Hey my man do you have any tone packs for your archetype nolly tones ? Always sounds so huge 💪💪
can somebody get this dude a double kick
Thick!111
Question: Why don't you play the bass parts? Is it just more convenient and time saving to program them? Or does it also have to do with the programmed bass being easier to mix and get a punchier sound? Just curious if that helps it sound better.
Hey nick! I’m a huge fan of your work. I was wondering if you offered/sold your presets for archetype nolly at all? Also mixing/mastering settings and plugins. Your production always sounds so damn good it’s unreal. I’d be super interested in learning more about your sound even if I had to pay! Also a good idea for a video might be discussing song writing techniques like scales or modes and how you design guitar parts and compose songs so well you’re very talented dude and your style is perfect!! I’d pay to learn more as a guitar player myself and I’m sure others would too!
Thanks so much for the kind words!! I have my presets for Archetype Nolly up on the Architect Tiger Studios website as well as my writing templates for Logic. And thank you for the video recommendation! That sounds like it could make an interesting video!
Hey Nick! I have a question, what sound drivers do you use when recording through neural dsp? Thanks
"Try finger, but hole"
This sounds a lot like Miroist.
Hey Nick, do you ever happen to have any issues with Kontakt dropping out with your E-Drums after a certain amount of time? I’ve been running into some trouble with that and just wanted to see if maybe you might have some recommendations to address that sort of thing
Would you ever walk through a mix?
What's the drum kit you use and how much please?
I use the Fesley FED1000! Check out my affiliate link in the description!
I see a new keyboard! Specs my dude?
This has to be the most unfortunate episode to have the obs mistake on 😭
Enjoyable as always nonetheless! And on the bright side, it probably made editing easier!
invent animate type riff thursday
Haha. Elden ring is great. Bloodborne is hard. And as I understand it, sekiro is even harder!
PLAY DARK SOULS AND BLOODBORNE IF YOU ENJOY ELDEN RING WHERE TF HAVE YOU BEEN?!?!?
Hahaha one at a time!! Definitely want to dive into the Souls series after Elden Ring!
I'm no snob, but Elden ring is not a good first foray into a souls game and Elden ring is pretty mid by veteran player standards. Ds3 is an absolute banger game though
Well I'm having a great time and I've heard nothing but great things about it haha. Definitely want to try the Souls series after Elden Ring tho!
Ruff is fucking awesome and welcome to the fromsoft fam🫶🏻
