I have a Colt 1908, 25, anAsta Cub 22 short and a 25 one Colt Junior marked and the Colt 25 made on a US frame with Astra slide and barrel. Had a Fireacat and foolishly sold it. The Firecat was slightly smaller than the Colt 1908, and closer to the old 1908 design. All are accurate and reliable
I have strong suspicions that there are many parts interchangeable from the Cub to the fire cat and vice versa. Top of the my list is the barrels and guide rods, possibly the entire trigger assembly. Could you confirm the barrel?
Dear Evnra, Jimbo shares your interest in pretty little pocket guns. Years ago, we gave my buddy's daughter a Jimenez 32 Caliber chrome-plated plated, pearl-handled, semi automatic hot tamale. We had got it from a damaged Vietnam vet who passed too soon. It was a single shot gun because there were no magazines. Jimbo was there to see that girl at the range after she found a magazine that fit the Jimenez. The gun ran beautifully. She was as lethal at 3 to 6 ft , shooting from retention. All center mass up to 5 yards. She is thrilled to have that little guy with her always. Jimbo is thrilled she has it too.
Pretty good video but just for clarification the astra cub is the original and colt liked it so much they gave astra the licensing rights to continue making the cub as the colt jr
Damn, there are so many .25 pocket guns and I can't find any real comparisons of them all to see which one's are bigger and which one's are smaller. Have been seriously looking into them, but it's almost impossible to tell the differences just by looking at them (without being able to actually compare them side by side). I'm really surprised there aren't many pictures of them side by side at all.
Yeah, that is a good trick. I was wondering why the magazines were so expensive... and seeing MANY magazines that look identical for much cheaper, I was wondering if any of them would fit, but had no idea of knowing. All these little pocket .25's seem identical in size, because they're all clones of the same 2 guns... but there are differences in size and magazine size also. Say a Baby Browning and a copy (the Bauer automatic) side by side in a video yesterday and could see that the Bauer was thicker and the magazine well was wider too (and so were the grips)... so in the end, the Browning was a noticeably smaller gun (but if you saw them in a picture from the side you would never notice there was a difference). There's an Italian version (copy) too that I believe is thinner than the Browning too.
Hey so i went and bought 2 magazines for the beretta bobcat and did the mods. It actually works. I just had to file the lips down a bit cause it was rubbing on the ejector. After that it feeds fine. Havent shot it yet though but im sure it will feed fine.
the astra cub is not a clone of the colt. the colt is an astra cub branded as a colt. it was made in 25 and 22 short. the company lasted from 1908-1997. they made great guns.
Remake the Colt Junior with black anodized aluminum frame. SS slide aggressive slide ! Black checkered stocks)((> in Removable tritiums sites with 10 shot magazine! They will Sell once again
astra still sold full size hand gun's to the use untill 2006 when it when under as well as llama a nother gun maker from spain that astra boughtout as the gun laws in europe made it hard to sell in europe they all lost there hat
25acp is my favorite round. I have quite a few 25acp mouse guns.

Is that a black coating almost like paint on that two tone one?
Wow, I just got an Astra Cub with a bad mag, and found only one place that sold mags, at $50/mag. I'll try that Beretta mag trick. Thank you.

Love the little 25 acp! Liked the video
Any specifics on the mags for the firecat? I sure would like to get a few more of them.
Beretta 950 mags can be modified to work

Really good video. Thanks
Two in the hand and the Dummy is dead close range, I don't care what the big bore cannon owners say!

I would upgrade the Colt with a extended 10 shot mag with a plastic slide over mag pinky grip! Or 12 round possibly!
