I was in Holmfirth 10 years ago; I took the Summer Wine tour in this really cool old jalopy that started just steps away from Ivy’s café, had lunch at Ivy’s café, and saw various film locations!
You could have seen how Teared my eyes are right now. Remember watching it on TV in the 90s before mom's passing. It has brought back all the memories when was in primary school. Your soul continue Resting in Peace Mom 😢.
Sadly almost all, apart from Glenda (Sarah Thomas,) have now gone. Will never see the like again. One of my favourites on here was Joe Gladwin. Such a versatile actor. sadly died in 1987. Catch him in 'Nearest & Dearest' as the lecherous pickler Stan Hardman. R.I.P. Joe.

I want to thank you for the show that I have been watching Last of the Summer Wine it's been a laughter laughter laughter because it's been great being able to have a show where there is no cursing nothing nasty everything nice and I am able to understand every word and I can tell you and I watch a lot of shows but this one tops them all thank you and I'm hoping to see more of this type of shows it's great to see 3 guys going to different trials and tribulations
I think nearly everyone has friends like this, even if they don't see them like this. Folks that when you get together you have a good time with. Sometimes it's just a few members of your family, or a few co-workers.

I can't believe Clegg and Seymour wear ties when they are out in the countryside. Even Compo follows the dress code, although more roughly. Even the pub goers are all wearing jackets and ties.
I think this is because the characters they represent are from an era where everyone dressed more smartly, as a matter of personal pride.. Most people were not seen outside without a hat ..! (That’s what adds to the humour!)
It would be great to have a similar comedy show like this again, where the men could have their go at the mean women! In particular Ivy and Howard's wife.
Yorkshire humour is blunt, and to the point. The Yorkie women are more terrifying than the blokes. They're well trained to do as they're told. 😅 I just noticed there are actually other customers in the cafe as well as our intrepid three. That's a first.

I was fortunate enough to spend time in that area with the last of people like that. On occasion I see places I have really been. I loved it.

Been watching this show for years and seen every episode many times and I've just realised there are no family's with kids in any of them
Technically Edie and Wesley have their grown up child Glenda in the series. But no other kids are ever mentioned
