Although I know all of these tricks due to speedrunning the game it was cool to see them all again. It's interesting because it doesn't feel like it's as complex as it actually is. There are reverse wallruns, although I'm not sure if you would conside them a speedtech. They happen when you land a wallrun on a 90° edge. The game think you're wallrunning the other wall so your camera gets turned into the wall allowing you to perform a straight kickglitch. You can perform a tripple kg on a straight wall that way.
A couple more techniques: On curved walls you can do several wallboosts on the same wall. You can also do a wallboost into wallclimb on the same wall. On walls with curved corners, if you start a wallrun in the right spot in the corner, you can wallrun for quite a while and still get a straight kickglitch (example: 5a chain)
Wow. I was watching out of nostalgia, and stumbled upon an answer to one of my old question on the game. I once was launch really high with no explanation, and I realize now that I once got a "bounce" out of one of the tall ventilation on a rooftop. If done consistently this could be used in some places. But I tried and never got it again.
Great video, good explainations but could have used a few more examples overall sometimes. Still solid and should be a staple if you're learning Mirror's Edge :)
So I'm trying to do a kick glitch chain but in the first kick glitch to skip the pipe in prologue but I wall boost and can't wallrun do I need to hold space
Faith: Just need to wall-run and then grab onto this bar, swing off it and onto another bar to do another swing and do another wall-run before landing, jump while wall-running, and land on a narrow AC duct. Hundred of deaths later... Faith: Oh sweet! I can just walk across the massive pile of my own corpses that failed to make this series of jumps!
How much of this is possible on the Xbox one ? Cause all I can do is the side jump boost and idk if some of the other stuff is patched because I can’t use glitch at all and the kick jump thing barely takes me anywhere
Because a lot of things require frame perfect inputs it’s almost impossible to do most techniques without a scroll wheel (unless you have perfect timing). Some things also involve quick/precise camera movement which is a bit harder on console
4:45 I've binded my scroll wheel to jump and have attempted the kick glitch a large amount of times and majority of the time I can spin my scroll wheel at like 5,000 mph and I still can't do a second jump in between frames how am I supposed to properly do this cause nothing seems to be working the wallrun either cancels or my character just stops in the middle of the air and I don't gain any speed could it be like a scroll wheel sensitivity issue?
Is beamer able to be performed consistently on console? I can get it once in a while but even using slow motion i can’t seem to find he right timing. Or is it like kick glitch where you need a scroll wheel to get the input on the perfect frame?

You didnt explain how to Jump after a Wallrun Kick, all it does for me is help fall dmg Oh do you side jump? Sorry im tired n jus wantin to make sure im doing it right
How to do it: bind use to scroll wheel, slide/coil jump (slide is easier but you’ll need to coil to reach through walls) then use the scroll wheel while still in the animation What happens: because you’re already in an animation (sliding/coiling) you won’t be put into the use animation

Oh, and when you wallrun into swinging on a pole you will gain a lot more height than usual when you wallrun out of it, sometimes used in Chapter 9.

If you watch people doing runs on pc you’ll see it’s not even fully consistent on there so good luck on console

Which of this speedtech is most useful and applicable to the xbox 360 version? obviously you cant hold A + D on 360 because one must use a controller.
