    Daniel Goff is nailing some incredible high notes. The blend and balance leads to a uniquely wonderful performance.

    I'm always so impressed by the tone of this performance. Almost could be mistaken for clarinets or flutes or oboes, but then the "edge" of the saxophone starts to come out which just makes it so unique and beautiful.

    Brilliant! The resonance in the sax voices is gorgeous. Better than strings, imho. You should do more!

    The craziest thing is that these guys have all actually improved their playing levels since the time their band first posted their quartet content.

    Sounds great. Nice job on the those high notes with the soprano. Why did you choose to wear camouflage instead of your formal uniforms?

    • @ArmyFieldBand
      @ArmyFieldBand  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks, and glad you enjoyed it! Great question--most of the time we perform in our distinctive dress uniform for formal concerts, but occasionally we will perform in OCPs, like in this video.

    Just to clarify are these musicians part of the Pershing's Own Army Band?

    • @andyemerich1376
      @andyemerich1376 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Pershing’s is a different/separate unit-this is the United States Army Field Band, which has existed on its own for 75 years now.

    Damn, didn't realize Private Pyle learned to play something so beautiful.
    Seriously though, this is great. You guys killed it!

  • @thomaskipfer1008

    Much more exciting than strings, the soprano sax executed the lead violin part better, with more beautiful sound than any violin. This entire way, using saxophones, instead of stringed instruments playing classical music will bring much new life to the musical masters. Stringed instruments don't compare.

    Was Rathburn new to the unit during the recording? I noticed the SPC rank and then saw he was a SSG in the description.
