This car is a future classic and what a cool friend! I respect the owner for keeping it stock and maintaining it. Looks like he plans to keep it for a while. I feel the same way about my FK8 Honda Civic Type R. I think you will also like the FK8. What I find is that many people who modify their cars beyond recognition end up not keeping their cars and one of the reasons why is that the cars loose their practicality. Just drove my daughter to the dentist today in the FK8 and even drove around a lake and we had a blast enjoying the car and enjoying the drive. BTW, because my exhaust is stock I did not spook the people or the ducks at the lake. We actually saw 2 Hyundai Veloster Ns on the road and 1 other FK8 parked at the lake but no Focus RSs. Sadly these cars are becoming more and more rare. I plan on keeping my FK8 for a very long time. I hope to see driver focused cars like this Focus RS and Honda Civic Type R and Veloster N on the roads and at events like Cars and Coffee well into the future so more people will be able to enjoy them as well. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for your comment! Yes I agree, the Focus RS is a cracking car as stock, especially for a blast on the back roads because if you lowered it etc you'd be bottoming out or losing your splitter if you added an additional one. But each to their own if someone wants it for a show car. The FK8 is a cracking car, yet to drive one but I look forward to the day I do so I can compare it to the RS.
@@dominichills Hopefully that day will come soon. You can tell Honda made something special with this car. If I was closer to you I would let you drive mine. Keep up the great work and keep sharing passion for these types of cars. Best regards.
I've had 4 mitsubishi Evo's over the years. When I was looking for a new car I wasn't prepared to pay the stupid money for another Evo so I got the Focus RS. Had it two and a half years now. I feel it's the modern day successor to the Evo. Similar to drive but with a nicer inerior and lots less rust :)
Haven’t watched the full vid yet, but having had one new in 2017 and sold it in 2020 I would have another in a heartbeat. I think it has to become a classic later on. 👍
nice little car. tbh i dont like how the focus down graded to a 4 cylinder when the mk2 st and rs were 5 cylinders but it seems alot more economical and practical the focus mk2 st get terrible mpg. with the mk2 my mate owns one and says you have to drive it fast allot for it to be reliable and driving it slow you will get problems not sure if the mk3 has that issue and i dont know what there like reliability wise but they seem better maybe? the mk3 focus looks beautiful especially the front and that massive spoiler or wing maybe the 4 cylinder is more pratical though the 5 clyinder sounds awesome
I do prefer the look personally, but yes, I know some say the 4 cylinder should've been left as a 5. They are just looking to be more economic I suppose. It still pulls nicely and was great fun. I obviously can't give much long term advice on it as I don't own one, but I know people who have them and say they're great.
I was hoping there wouldn't be any fake sounds inside the cabin, but clearly there are - 4 cylinders under the bonnet, 5 cylinder soundtrack 🤔 Still considering one though 😊
i have an mk3 focus rs its running mountune 400X with forged pistons and rods balance shaft delete and bafled sump if you want to take it for a spin then let me know
I hope it becomes a classic. We only got the Mk3 in the USA and I got one, I am a very lucky original owner.
Oh nice, that's great to hear! They're great fun so enjoy it, but you've definitely got a gem right there!
Definitely a certified future classic 👌
You Have No Worries about it becoming a Classic,
😈

I have an RS but OMG I love the FK8, and the new FL5 too actually. I see a few around Los Angeles but would love to see more.
Hi Dom.
This is the car I wanted so bad.
The Lancer Wagon 4G63 DOCH 16V N/A is more afFORDable on a tight danish budget.
Thanks for the review.

Ah really, I really liked it and can see why it is such a fun car to drive!
Great video Dom!! 🙌🏻 You are really making me want to get one, need to get that test drive booked asap! 😂
Yes, do it!!

That's the only downfall of my Evo, not wanting to take it out in rubbish weather lol.
The RS is such a good car, glad you're loving it 💪

Ah, what did you replace it for?

Same vehicle here on a 17 plate and under 19000 miles. Must say I prefer the standard front seats.
Ah really, on a normal focus you mean?
@@dominichills no- the standard seats on a Mk3 RS Focus.
@@bristolmod are the ones on the RS in the video not standard? If not, I never knew that, I thought they're the stock ones
@@dominichills the ones on the video are optional extras. Very expensive, and IMO not as good as the standard Recaros. Just my opinion though.
@@bristolmod ah interesting, I don't think Will knew that when he bought it!

The inside sounds are easy to turn off. I have it turned off the exhaust makes enough noise.

Damn Laura that sounds mega, and yes! If you're on instagram drop me a message to evo_8_dom as I'd love to get it on the channel!
I hope not so it goes down in value so i can afford 1 😂😂😂
Haha I reckon they'll drop first before going up
