I’m hearing good things about Slappy trucks. I’m an Indy guy. Last year I tried Thunders for the first time but I couldn’t adjust to the change. Maybe I should give Slappy a go.
They seem fine to me! I switched from grindking to Slappy about 8 months ago… can’t say I noticed any difference. The bushings are quite soft so you have to break them in a bit.
Do you think with the amount of slappy grinds you do that a hollow truck will last you as long as standard trucks? I like a heavier truck on my slappy setups. I use hollow trucks on my park boards.
There’s only one way to find out😂 I was thinking that the lighter truck may counter the weight of the rails and make kickflips easier, I didn’t consider if they would last the same…. Will see how they fare
@@TheHypotheticalSkater Black Friday coming up, lots of good deals to be had on older model GoPros and Drifts etc, also a lot of "copy" GoPro brands are worth considering.
I usually ride 54 mm. Due to finances I’ve ridden the old board and wheels well too long! Thought I’d give 52mm a go seeing as I have been so used to pea size wheels! Yeah bigger wheel goes faster and lasts longer, I may go back to 54mm… I’ll see
@@TheHypotheticalSkater i think i like 52-54mm the best, but i'd rather get them bigger and let them wear into my preferred size. i have a bunch of old parts, trucks and wheels, from the last 30+ years. a few sets of wheels in the 40-45mm range that i'll probably never use.
@ it reminds me of being early 20s and having to deal with what ever I could scrape together😂 all good now, I did a career change so was training for a year with minimal money😀 like you I usually like to get bigger and wear them down, lasts longer .
@@TheHypotheticalSkater i don't think i'll ever regret being frugal, whether by choice or necessity. i just posted a video of my ridiculously worn skate shoes i've been keeping on life support, even though i have other newer shoes.
@@joeoconnell4235 no the dragons slide well, I’ve used them since they came out. I need to get back to the Slappy blunts, I started to get comfortable with them but haven’t tried in a few weeks!
Fresh setup is always a treat, that board is gorgeous.
A long awaited treat!! It’s the longest I’ve ridden a board since I was in my 20s!!
Awesome setup, razor nose properly used💪agents rules🤗
And dragon wheels 54mm worn down to 47mm😂 I’ve had no money for a year!!
Cool setup
Thanks man

@TheHypotheticalSkater definitely interested
Badass board
First ever Magenta Skateboard, seems ok so far
This took me back to watching Enter The Dragon as a child, great lip syncing! What width board you riding these days? 8.25?
Yep 8.25! I need to get a wireless mic, this 6yr old iPhone is done! I’ve recorded various things but will have to just overdub again😂

i switched back to bigger wheels, 56-60mm, late '90s. they roll faster and smoother, last longer, and usually wider which i prefer.

Sure is!
No issue with those dragons while doing those slappy grinds? I just watched a video of you banging out some slappy blunts.
