genuinely helpful comment. i'm 19 now just researching handguns for when i'm 21 and can legally conceal-carry. i want something small as to not be uncomfortable when sitting down or generally walking/moving around. the ammo capacity at 10 and being able to be expanded to 12-15-17 is nice as well for at the range when i wanna have some fun. thank you for commenting that it's been reliable for so so many years now. it was very helpful :)

Haven’t had it in a few years, but I carried a G26 for four years as my primary carry. Fantastic gun, so easy to shoot well. Traded it out for a Germanic brother, a Walther P99AS C. I could honestly go either way, both are fantastic, but the P99 Compact just looks better!
I don’t care how slim and small the new micro 9’s are, the chubby subcompact’s are just easier to shoot well.

The G26 is that old-school pistol that a lot of us absolutely love even though we don't carry it every day. It's like that old friend that you don't talk to all that often, but you also don't need to because you know that as soon as you do you'll pick up right where you left off. I have two G26's for a reason, and they would probably be the last ones I would sell in my collection.

I've carried my 26 for years (12+?). I tried a few the single stack 9 models when that was the rage, but went back to the 26. The newer smaller models with a better capacity are attractive, but I lack the motivation for experimentation.
Maybe it's my age (probably), but my 26 is familiar and I trust it. It's now ugly, worn and has thousands of rounds through it. And I liky carry it every day for the foreseeable future.

Stick with what you know. The 43x gave me a serious case of tendinitis. Large hands gripping the narrow grip did it. The only time I need something small is going to the doctor and taking off the clothes. I attached a holster to a clip board and keep a 19 in a messenger bag when that happens.

If you are a person who doesnt have unlimited funds and needs firearms that fit into certain systems... i,e self defense, home defense, shtf wrol, you need to have glocks. at least one 17 19 26. preferably a 17, 19, and 26. There are more glocks out here than any other pistol, and judging by where this world is headed commonality is going to be important. spare parts and mags are plentiful. Good luck finding a fns9c recoil spring or extractor when you cant just order it online. If you give no worry about that and are only going to have one handgun.... then you can choose any of the guns mentioned (except the sig p365, stay away from everything modern sig makes). choose whichever one fits and shoots best for you. Im personally a glock, beretta and p226 guy (but as stated stay away from any modern sig guns)... i have enough mags and spare glock parts to build out a couple glocks. Everytime i order from brownells i make sure to pick up a spare extracor, ejector or spring just to have. the ubiquity of glocks outweighs the downsides. If your pistol doesnt work because a part broke and you cant replace it.... then that better feeling grip doesnt really matter. I was a glock hater back in the day, and swore by hammer fired guns, but for the prepared citizen you need to have a standaard double stack glock.

But were it not for the comfort factor and my much less dangerous circumstances I would still use the 27 a lot more for concealed on body carry. I have a G26 for EDC. Glock's Blue Label program brings the price down by at least $100. Some simple modern upgrades -- Apex flat face performance trigger, Truglo night sights, extended release controls, grip extender, and Talon grips turned my gen 3 G26 into a nasty little beast that I love with a passion. Great video as always. I’m still a big fan of the 26. It’s one of my primary carry guns. But I also owned it prior to the micro 9 invasion and I have lots of 15 rd mags. One of my favorite configurations is the 15 rd mag with x-grip sleeves. If I didn’t already own one and wasn’t so invested in the platform I might consider other options, but right now none of them offer enough more to make the switch worth it for me.

My carry gun is a glock G27. And I think it would have been a better gun to compare.
With the others you chose. I think the Versatility is superior to all the others. First you can very cheaply Add add additional caliper barrels. The twenty seventh is a forty Caliber. but you can also get a 9 mm and a 357 sig barrel for it. So you will always be able to find ammo. Any of the Glock mags will also fit. So you can go all the way up to 33 rounds in 9 mm. If you wanted to. Glock accessories are more numerous than any other brand of Firearm. I actually prefer the larger grip. Mine was purchased as a law enforcement trade in And I can tell you It had very few rounds shot through it and came with night sights at a price comparable or lower.
Then the guns you compared. It is a common backup gun for law enforcement, so you can find the Law enforcement trade in's for cheap!

    Thoughts about the following:
    I have a Gen 3 G26 and G19, as well as a Kahr PM9.
I live in California, so we don’t have a lot of options when it comes to *standard* versions of the newer mini/micro 9mm’s.
We did recently have the Shield Plus and the p365 added to the “roster”… but *only* in models with *both* a loaded chamber indicator *and* a magazine disconnect safety.
The older Gen3 G26 and G19 that are on the roster are grandfathered in and don’t have these extra safeties.
So… if I already have a G26 for CCW (and the Kahr, which only has 6+1), are the extra safeties on the newer roster pistols a reason *not* to use one over the G26?
Basically, for those with more tactical knowledge than I have, how bad is the potential liability of a magazine disconnect safety when it comes to tactical reloads etc. How often do such things even come into play in a civilian situation ?
    Thanks!

You can convert to 9mm, and .357 SIG with a barrel swap and mag swap with 9mm Glock. G22/23 can still use either .40 S&W and .357 SIG. Still cheaper to get a mag and barrel swap than a new weapon, and maybe factor in a steel recoil rod.

There is no point in having conversions. Complete waste of money. If a 9 goes through the heart, game over. A 40 or 357 don’t make you more dead. If any of those rounds goes through a lung, you will have a hole in your lung. But if you are one of those guys that show guns and think that will impress some rube, by all means get the “conversions” get the .22 as well.

The most important factor for me is reliability and you can NOT beat Glock in that category. I went from the G26 to the 43x and back to the G26. Much easier to conceal AIWB and shoots much better for me! The only thing I dont like about it is the lack of an accessory rail, so I’m limited to the TLR-6.

That gets thrown around a lot, but the reality is that Glock is no longer the "only" reliable gun. Almost every modern manufacturer could go toe-to-toe with Glock reliability today, if not exceeding it.

Very nice video. Back in the day I was on my way to buy a Glock 26 and stopped into a gun shop I had not visited until that day. I ended up getting the CZ RAMI instead of the 26. I do not regret my choice. Yes, the CZ is heavier and hammer fired but since I now carry a P365 I am much happier with the RAMI in my safe than the 26.

I take a Glock 19 mos slide and place it on the Glock 26 grip. Love the hide-ability of it with longer barrel and dot. EDC for warmer weather and switch back to full Glock 19 for colder weather. Great video

I have a G26 BYY Serial # that I bought in 1996 for $300 OTD at an AZ Gun Show and it still runs like a champ and I've never had a single malfuction of any type. My favorite concealed carry gun for sure, oh and it still has the original plastic sights which have been great and let me tell you the earlier Glocks have great trigger pulls far better than the Gen5!

I have tried so many different carry guns, including Glocks (43,43X, 48), but I always go back to my G26. I have the factory 12 rd ext and even with the flush mag, I shoot it better than all the others. I even shoot it better than my G19. It’s also so much more versatile because of the mag compatibility. I know some don’t like the fat grip or the angle of the grip, but it works for me b
