I try to find a way to make my small RC cars to stop more natural instead of the brake stop. It already rolls off nicely but once the stick goed to center it looks very toy. Do you have a solution like on RC car radios where you can set coast? Thanks!
Great info. I’m wondering if there is a specific upgrade path that must be adhered to? I have a QX7 on 2.2.3, can I upgrade straight to the latest 3.3.7?
Or, shall I do it in two or three jumps in version? Looking at the release notes I didn’t see any mention of an upgrade path. Thanks!

I have a new radiomaster coming once available. Currently have everything in QX7 with 2.2. Can I use companion to transfer models into new radio and will I need to use 2.2 version on new radio or can I use a later version without issue?

Odd you should mention it....I just left my radio out in the backyard in the rain. (I let it dry out really well and it seemed OK but completely died a few days later.) Luckily I had it backed up.
Hi painless, you are relief to my first attempt at binding a microwoop to x7 Access 2019.
If I use 2.2 open tx (old), can I flash d8 onto a 2019 X7 Access (current)?
This is my last guess at how to get tinyhawk 2 to bind with a 2019 x7.
D8 mode is usually there is the radio was flashed without the 'EU' button ticked as that removes it. It may have changed recently so the release notes for OpenTX would be worth a look..
Can i use it with Jumper T12? I have read that T12 is not supported but i just want to ask you if you know anyway for me to uyse companion with jumper T12 plus.

Fantastic videos that have helped me time and time again. That is what brings me here today but cant find anything that helps. It is likely right in front of me but I don't see it. I have a new Horus X12S and have Open Tx running. I am trying to load models from my Taranis through Tx Companion and think I am starting to get it but for the life of me can't figure out how to set up a quad on my new radio. Have you made any videos on this?? I can't find anything. Thanks a million and keep up the GREAT videos.

I watched that video and it answered my questions. I skipped it before because it wasn't on the Horus X12S. Then it hit me that OpenTx is Open Tx! Understand it on one and it's pretty basic on all.

I went to opentx 2.3.9 on xlite following your guides. For internal of mode theres xjt 16. Which seems like a multi protocol module which I dont have. And I keep getting check external antenna warnings even if I have external antenna set as true under internal rf. 2.2.3 never had jxt under Internal rf. You have some info to help me understand the warnings?

Is your old heli tutorial for a taranis radio (I got the x9d plus se 2019) still valid or has stuff changed? I got the radio as a gift and I intend on flying both planes,heli's and drones. Hope it is a good radio for it...

Hey Lee I have watched videos and looked around but cannot find an answer. I want to flip a switch on my QX7 while I am flying my skyhunter that overrides the elevator and aileron sticks and turns those two channels to pan and tilt for my FPV cam. I know I have to use logical switches but even after watching your video on it and other videos, it really doesn't help me with what I'd like to do. It is hard to understand so much stuff in the logical switch page.
No need to use something as complex as that. You can use flight modes or simple switch assignments. Check out the Opentx mix school series.. th-cam.com/video/XNdh3XIktEc/w-d-xo.html may be of interest (don't forget you can support the channel by becoming a Patreon!)
In R9MX Receiver there is a VDCG pins means v+ data clock ground, what's the use of these pin, i search on Google but no info.
Is its for telemetry or for just flashing receiver, or new feature

I‘m using it and don‘t have any issues, but maybe there are newer files or filenames in the sounds folder, that don‘t get replaced, since they did not exist at the time of recording the voice pack.
Just received my radiomaster TX16S and the firmware states 'opentx-tx16s-Radiomaster' there is no indication on the open TX site as to which firmware matches these radios? Any ideas? Thank you
It's not officially supported until the next release of OpenTX and Companion.. Should be soon.
is it possible to copy parts of a model to a new model?. i like the telemetry screen on the 'template' wing model. when i use the wizard to create a new model, there is no telemetry setup (i have to do it manually). i would like to copy the telemetry screen from the first to the second. is this possible? (either in companion or the rc itself) thanks in advance.

Ola. I managed to flash my T12 to 2.3 via sd card as i was getting constant windows detection 'bings' and D drive not found when attempting to use companion to flash.
It works and my models are still there plus the sd card pops up in windows as expected but windows still gives me that constant bing bing bing for what I can only presume is it trying to find the internal memory on 'D' drive. Any clues? There are no drives listed as D in my computer so this would be the first one it would be assigned to.

Hi Lee i edit a model in companion and try to write(write model to radio) to my radiomaster it pop up a window saying :you are about to overwrite all model to radio .is there another way to do it

Thank you for all your content! I upgraded my T16 to OpenTX 2.3.5 and the option “back up radio to file” is not available anywhere in the companion. I used “save as” option instead. Is that pretty much the same thing?

The bit at the start when you first open , open tx companion wasnt detailed im not sure which boxes i check?

@@Painless360 when your selecting a new model profile there are alot of options, i have selected the correct model transmitter but dont know what all the other check boxes are or do i just leave them? im trying to install lua so i can use the telemetry on the taranis q7

When you copied your radio info into Companion, I see you have at the top of Document1.otx the simulate radio, Edit Radio settings and more. I do not get this and was wandering how you can activate these features? I am running Open TX Companion 2.2.4.
Make sure that you have a radio profile selected as covered in the video. Happy flying
@@Painless360 At 8:49 in the above video you will see the document1.otx- #### then right below that you have an area that has "simulate Radio, Edit Radio settings" This is what I am missing when I plug in my Radio and copy the contents over to Companion. How do I get this to show up? Thanks

How do I know my radio is connected to Open Tx Companion? I am not getting any indication that it is.

Can one change the file names.... the names say like... model1.bin. Can this be changed to say trex500.bin. I tried but when I tried to open the model it said invalid model. How else do you know what bin file is what ???

It's nice to see that open tx is gathering the support of the flysky nirvana soon hopefully I felt ripped off with the purchase of this radio from underground fpv even tho I like the radio the support stinks
I stopped making videos for the Nirvana as I didn't feel confidant in the focus, backup and support from UndergroundFPV for that radio. Too much sizzle, not enough sausage!

It's been a few years so I'm not holding my breath. All of the same tricks I'm showing with the T16, Tango II and FrSky radios will work on the Nirvana when it's finally supported.. Let's hope it's soon..

Just like everyone else. You just assume that everyone knows how to work the computer. I can pick up a flight controller and tell you where all the wires go, but I know absolutely nothing about extracting files. I have a handfull of xm + receiver's that are on EU NOT FCC. WHEN I TRY TO PUT OPEN TX ON MY SD CARD IN MY RADIO IT SAYS THERE IS NO SPACE. WHEN I TURN MY RADIO ON IT SAYS AFTER THROTTLE WARNING. SD CARD WARNING. WHAT DO I DO? ITS BEEN A MONTH SINCE I LOST MY CHAMELEON TI, BOUGHT 2 USED DRONES ON EBAY FIXED THERE PROVLEMS BUT CANT FLY BECAUSE THE 2 RECEIVERS I BOUGHT ARE IN EU PROTOCOL. I'm so frustrated I'm ready to throw the quads and the computer in the garbage, and drag the radio behind my truck. Please help!!

That's some cool stuff but it won't work in Flysky FS-i6X, the Radio is not listed under Radio's on the site..... =)
Frsky and FlySky are not the same manufacturer ;)
buy a radio with OpenTx Support... flysky FS i6 /x does not

How many models' memory does THIS transmitter have?
There are 60 model slots but in practice you can run out of EEPROM space before you can fill them up. See my video on it..
