I admire Mister Hooper Dunbar but I have never had the opportunity to meet him in person. I grew up in Pasadena California with my father John Denise and my brother Larry Denise who also were members of the Bahai Faith. I became a Bahai when I was 15. James and Dorothy Nelson held Firesides at their home and I like going there it was very uplifting. Long time ago I live in Nevada now and I am a young 80.

**this man,, has a special gift.... I was blessed to hear him speak in Seattle Washington... He looked directly at me,, and said memorizing the prayers it's not nearly as important,,, as reflecting on the meaning of the prayer!! I had been focused on memorizing the tablet of Ahmed.... The words,,, but not taking to heart the meaning.... I believe,, that the master speaks,,, through this gentle man.. Listening,, to this talk,,, I experienced the same thing... He answers my questions,,, without me having to ask them....**

This was great! Firesides and Deepenings! I knew we weren’t just limited to Ruhi. Plus Ruhi can be adjusted to suit audience, it can be made culturally appropriate as well. Learned a lot listening to this. Bring back 2 week summer schools and studying the Dawn Breakers

Estoy escuchando la charla y es de madrugada. Miro a mi ventana y veo la luna llena increíblemente luminosa frente a mi habitación. Que gran alegría me da. Pienso en Abdu’l-Bahá.

Great talk. Love it and learned a lot. The only gripe I have is how distracting and annoying it was to see the frame in the background has a broken corner. Please, somebody, FIX IT!

I think it’s not broken. It’s supposed to be that way.

Concerning about the increasing of reseptive souls, i think if i remember well after the inagoretion the shrine of our beloved Bab,one of the shining mesage from house , or from teaching center i dont remember exactly the source, by it was been mentioned that the, the number of recrptive souls will increase, ...so after that when we manege to inagorate the shrine of the master our beloved Abdulbaha maybe will have the increase of reseptive souls. And the colllective indevore of all of us will make the this wonderfull faith to grow , thank you and Alahuabaha

I just remembered a predicament that turned into a joyous occasion when I was Secretary in the Arcadia Baha'i Community and the Baha'is gathered for a Baha'i Wedding ceremony and we waited for a Baha'i who was going to preside and read the Baha'i Wedding prayers and he did not arrive so under those circumstances the Secretary would preside and that was me. I was very nervous and excited it was quite an honor and I tried to have the spotlight shown on the couple getting married. If they read this would you contact me and tell me your names. I live in Henderson, Nevada.

Mr Dunbar is so invested and engaged in all the topics he talks about that it is truly captivating to listen to him, there is no ego deviating him from giving a true and unadulterated narrative of the ocean of knowledge and experience that he undoubtedly has. In addition you sense the selfless love and devotion with which he speaks like a harmony of beautiful backing vocals accompanying his beautiful song. All Baha'i speakers can learn.

Friends, do you think somebody could make the transcript of this talk? Actually, Google voice recognition did a pretty good job of recognizing hiswords, but if some Bahá’í would take the pain of correcting it, it would be a wonderful service to humanity. I would then translate it into Russian and add it here :-) And other languages would follow, who knows? Such a treasure of information... I shared already some quotes from this talk with friends, like that story about a cartoon from Bill Sears :-)

There are many more talks on various subjects it would helpful to peruse the channel th-cam.com/channels/H6v3IJUWazoDP8Hq_iMZXA.html. These are not maintained by Mr Dunbar, but it is a collaboration. If you find the where with all to do transcriptions in Russian that would be of great benefit to the community. Please say hi to Michael Shipley a dear friend. Warm regards Sharaf Funk

We don't know what people will say, or why, to us in the next world. And people living should put themselves in other peoples shoes. Don't be rude, judgemental, and condescending
