"I cannot fail this class again it's already my fourth time" I hate history so soo SOOO much because that is me in pretty much any of the history classes
Virtual Vision I slept in my history classes and got straight A's.
I love history, but I imagine it can be hard to remember if you don't.
Well then again I'm also in France stuck with a language that I can never manage too use in an essay so I'm basically handicapped for half the classes but at least English is free perfect grades

mario's head is the only reason i played mario teaches typing 2, it made the game irresistible to me. also seeing the DOS versions of mario's early years is still so weird to me, i'm used to the SNES versions

a game that may or not be edutainment (been years) that I enjoyed as a kid was "Reader Rabbits Kindergarten". you have now given be flashbacks, congrats.

I played some of these a lot when I was little, maybe thats why I suck at almost every school subject,
I remember playing the number one and the preschool one all the time! I don't remember if we had the letters one. Also, Fun Fact! Mario Teaches Typing was Charles Martinet's first real game role as Mario.

I love these cursed Mario moments in games that are official, somehow.
I can't believe that the 3D talking Mario head in Mario teaches typing was voiced by Charles Martinet, the dude who voices Mario in SM64 and in all the games to this day.
As soon as I heard the in game voices, I was reminded of some of the early kids' games on my library's children's section computers (stuff like Bailey's Book House). Except, those didn't suck.

I loved these games as a kid. If you’ve ever looked at a little kid’s learning workbook this is literally what it is. Circle the things that start with S. Color the ones that start with Q. Cross out the ones that start with B. Over and over again.

Oh god... that orange slime monster from Math Blasters gave me nightmares.
On part because he was creepy, on the other part was because I only had the time of a single lunch period and recess in 1st grade to beat the /entire/ game or else have to play it from the start the next day. And I would ALWAYS get to the last level before recess was over
That DK Jr educational game in the beginning looked fun.
Mario Head is honestly one of my favorite memes.
There is also quite a lack of handholding. Young children want as much handholding as possible to make them feel like they are being paid attention to and to engage them.

DK Jr Math was a big part of my childhood for me. I played it a lot... in Animal Crossing.
I actually used this games (The MsDOS version) in my early years not to learn how to speak, but to learn some basic english because i don't speak it natively. In that regard they are pretty ok, you learn the numbers and the letters, some basic vocabulary, i use to love this game, mainly because it was the only mario game in our computer lol
