14:40 I wanted to note, secret slide simply not having a star at the end - that's not kaizo, that's just being a dickwad. Kaizo is about hard, extremely precise, but actually mostly fair trial-and-error challenges (except for occasional kaizo block, which are more about intuition and situational humor). But simply not giving a star is just pointless trolling, it's not about skill.
You have to get the star for beating it in a time, like the normal game. The star is still there, but only if you beat the level in the correct time.

I've played this one, and honestly it's not just the slide. The entire game is very poorly designed, and seems like they barely even tried to make it truly skillfully difficult
ironic that many people like the 20 other hacks ive made in this video more than last impact, that ive put >4000 hours into. guess i shoulda just stuck to making meme and mini hacks LOL

I'm 11 and I still somehow still have played and LOVE this game. I was young when playing. And my stupid little head couldn't complete it. But I still love this game. And want to play it again. I feel like I was raised like the last generation was. And I feel like this game just fits with me

I just keep watching/listening to your videos. Idk what it is, you review games that I don’t really play and game reviews are a dense content to binge on, but I love the games you review and how you review them⚡️
I reckon a hack of Banjo Kazooie where you play as Mario with Luigi could work really well. It would work as the levels and camera would work properly as they were designed to work together. You could have Luigi use his improved jumping abilities to fly like Kazooie, or maybe even Yoshi or something. And you could have Mario throw his hat like in Odyssey so you could get past puzzles that would require Kazooie to throw eggs!
I wish I had the skill to create something like that.

Speaking of Super Mario 64 hacking, don't forget to check out Brodute. He made a bunch of hacks and has improved considerably since the first one. Even early on it was obvious that he put alot of heart into it. Start with the newer ones, the older ones can be rough or kaizo at times. Just try to not be bothered by the memes in them.
10:30 - I don't recall ever being able to move between levels through Cranky's Lab. It was always through the use of those portals connected to the hub world. Did I miss something?

The Missing Stars was the first full fledged rom hack and it wasn't made using Toads Tool which is nowadays a mainstay of SM64 hacking. It wasn't perfect but it satisfied my itch for more SM64 at the time
