It makes me so happy that someone else actually knows about Super Mario Land 2. That was the first Mario game I ever played and actually the first game I ever completed. I mean, going back it is really easy, but it certainly was one of my favorites as a kid. Also, that game has like four characters from other Mario games, which makes it all the more interesting. 'New Mario Bros.' is simply a graphical reskin of 'Mario Bros. Classic', released for the NES in Europe, based on 'Kaettekita Mario Bros.' for the FDS. The more-modern physics are present in both of those games. Both of those have graphics and intros based closer to the arcade version. The new graphics on that hack, are quite well-done, though.

I love the original Final Fantasy Tactics and have even beaten the enhanced port on my previous smartphone. When I found out that the PS1 original could be hacked after seeing stuff like Journey of the Five and the various custom stuff on the Final Fantasy Hacktics site, it got me thinking about doing an FFT hack, that involved... get ready for this... Ariana Grande getting sucked into the world of Ivalice, meeting both new and old characters, and fighting a new Ivalician threat and the whole thing is kind of a satire of Celebrity appearances in video games. Yeah... that sounds very out there... and it's only a vision that I keep having... but I want to create my own Rom hacks one day with a well skilled team... a man can dream...

Great video, and I'm really looking forward to the SM64-hacking video =) I hope you include all the major important romhacks like *Missing Stars* (first big hack), *SM74* (first full hack with over 120 stars), *Star Road* (probably still the best SM64-hack), *Green Stars* (another really good hack), *Last Impact* (the hack with the most programming put into it) and *SM74: Extreme Edition* (the probably hardest ROM-hack with very unique levels)
Honestly, I think SMW Odyssey is an awesome idea. If they could get some of the glitchiness out of it, I think the cappy addition makes it a totally new way to experience each level...
Doki Doki Panic was actually going to be Super Mario Bros 2 in all countries but due to a temporary collaboration with the company that made the DDP characters it had to be reworked. Eventually Nintendo's original vision was able to surface in Japan as Super Mario USA. I'm not sure if this is true now, but that _is_ how I remember _hearing_ it.
I played SMB Crossover hundreds of times ever since it first came out in 2010, when it had no skins and only 6 characters. I pretty much witnessed every update the game had over time. Glad to see it in this video.
Super mario crossover is great, i played it like 5 years ago when you could only use different characters, i love how theyve been slowly adding more and more features and characters, really well done. my favorite to use was sophia the 3rd because the flower made her OP and it can climb up walls
i love super mario land 2, and the colored version, along with being able to play as luigi, i love it more also that metroid latching onto kirby's head in the background

"New Mario Bros." seems to be based on the revised NES version of Mario Bros. (sometimes referred to as "Mario Bros. Classic") that was only released in Europe in 1993. Which in itself is a modified version of a Japan exclusive upgrade of Mario Bros. called "Kaettekita Mario Bros." (Return of Mario Bros.), released in the Famicom Disc System in 1988.
Also New Mario Bros is a hack of Mario Bros Classic, which itself was a Nintendo hack of Mario Bros released only in the PAL region with some sprite updates and improved controls based on the ones used in Kaiketsu Mario Bros
The best part about Super Mario Bros Crossover? It was basically a prequel to another Mario hack called Super Glitch Bros, where the world is broken due to all the characters being in Mario, so you have to repair it.
For the Wicked Clown Bros, the "Stickman" is actually the mascot for their record label. No idea what's up with the ninja, unless they had a song about a ninja, which, knowing a decent amount about ICP, is totally possible.
