Our story takes us into the life of a mercenary named Lacertus, scanning the cosmos looking for smuggling jobs and expensive historical artifacts to sell on the black market. His ship happens upon a deserted planet, and there he finds the sword... In the middle of a sea of skeletons and imbedded within the chest of a perfectly preserved human. Unable to resist himself, Lacey takes the sword and in one instant feels every soul that has died upon the blade, and is transported to the realm in which they wait... Waiting for the day when the sword will finally be destroyed and they will be freed from purgatory.
