I’ve been promising myself a San Martin for a while now but don’t like the unnecessary complication of a gmt . I love the colours but think that the blue/ orange combos are a bit too bright . Your review has pushed me over the edge so just ordered the mint green in the current sale . I spotted my wife with a new pair of shoes this morning …justification ! Thanks for the review .
Love these, they're really nice. Great review as usual ...
I love the color contrast between dial, chapter ring and bezel. Great review Steve, I really appreciate the strap change portion of your videos
Thanks for watching! Strap show is a favorite or many!
Great review, Steve. I love it. I'm having trouble deciding color, but I like the one you featured. The difference in adding the mesh bracelet is almost $40, but I think it is worth it. Thank you for sharing.
I think the colors work and that bezel sound is crispy, really nice. The colored date wheel is a nice bonus. Very nice. Not my style, but all things considered, very nice watch. Enjoyed it.
I'm still waiting for the quartz versions that are super thin with incredible dials and the finishes that San Martin is already known for
The color matched datewheel without a frame is really well executed.
White numerials on the date wheel would have been great
@@sulmanshahYeah, you're right 👍
I love the look of this watch
I'm a no-date guy on watches, or generally, I don't care about it, but the matched date just looks awesome on these models. Love the colors, great review!
If San Martin did a no date version of these i'd grab one straight away. Good review buddy.
@@ZzackOblong thanks for watching! A no-date option would be really nice
These colorways r super fun im really wanting to pull the trigger on this color u reviewed
This would look incredible on a jubilee bracelet. Great watch.
It is not too colourful. It looks great!
I'd love these colour combo's on that Vintage Submariner 39m case they have, forgot the model number... that would be a total winner, especially if they went sword hands to make it more it's own thing.
Great color. I do wish the date was in yellow just like the indices. It looked great on the brown leather strap! 😊
Wow....SM keep upping their game!
Nice review as usual, thumbs up given!👍🏽 I'm honestly not interested in the watch but I'd love to get my hands on a couple of those straight end mesh bracelets in both 22 and 20 mm sizes. (currently the San Martin site only offers this bracelet with curved end links)
Beautiful watch!
Can’t wait for this clasp on solid link bracelets.
Really sweet. Not enough for me to buy it, but I like the bracelet watch combo!
Damn San Martin has stepped up fast
Dang! I was getting GMT fatigue, now I can pull the trigger on this at the next sale.
Too much of a fashion watch for me, and I love San Martin - I'm wearing one. Thanks for the review
The colorways are great and I really like the color matched date wheels. I REALLY like the shorter adjustable clasp though. I feel their other one is too long.
I agree, this one is great, I'd like to see it adapted to other bracelets.
If they have put out a non dive style with a date on the 6 o’clock in more traditional colors, I may have bought that over Jody’s watch. Thanks for the great review!
They have a new one in the works which looks amazing...initial render was in red, but hoping for more traditional colors as well. I also have an ascent on order BTW
@@EscapeWheel Very cool! Thanks!
Great review,
Thank you!
San Martin is in another lvl
I like that color
Beautiful. I wouldnt call it a fashion watch. It has some Breitling Heritage Super Ocean vibes in the Milanese bracelet but this oughta do well. At 40+ watches im running out of excuses tho to buy this one.
Ok, they are finally color matching date wheels, NOW add a high beat movement.
Watches with Miyota 9000 are on the way it seems.
This with a black or grey dial it must be great!
The watch matches your logo to a tee.
Great watch, just wish it had a proper fitted bracelet
my only nitpick is that there are no endlinks.
Pretty cool watch I wish they would have made it in a 39. And also I know you said it's a reverse fume but I think that would be dark in the center and light on the outside. This is a fume. The choice in bracelet was a huge mistake that kind of bracelet is ugly in general but they should have at least had bits and Lynx or gave it a nice beats of rice or Jubilee or something having that kind of bracelet on watch makes it look cheap
Will you review the Baltany 1963 Explorer? I saw on reddit that you have this watch with that beautiful tropical dial.
I reviewed the brown sunburst, I have the tropic printed dial that I'll be doing a mini review on....straps, dial, and lume as the rest of the watch is the same.
@@EscapeWheel Great. I will be waiting for this mini review 👍
That's the exact same bezel insert as the Erebus Origins. No doubt left anymore as to where JOMW gets their watches made.
I appreciate San Martin pushing forward with colourful designs. I do wish they didn't insist on using Four Colours on every watch. The yellow lume really doesn't add anything to this design IMO. Maybe they should do, at least few models with, just Two or Three colours (Like the Studio Underd0g Mint Chocolate Chip or any of the Zodiac Super Sea Wolf designs).
Also, I'm definitely in the minority, but I don't like the date wheel without frame. It creates a visual blank space at 3 o'clock. Like an index fell off. A framed date window with a date-wheel colour matched to the lume inside the index at 9 O'clock would actually be better balanced.
case design looks like the Glycine Combat Subs...
Love the colours, but not sure I like the mesh... I don't do mesh bracelets or mesh singlets lol. I'm trying to find a wife after all haha
Must admit it looks good on a vintage leather strap... even a rally style one would suit it for summer.
Different in this case is 👍
It’s a nice watch but I felt this was a sale pitch rather than a review. You did say at the beginning this was a sponsored video but it’s doesn’t appear a balanced review as other watch YT’s offer. I hope this is taken as constructively as it was informative thank you.
Hard to be critical when the watch is good. I try to be as objective as possible, leaving my opinions about visuals (colors, logos, branding etc) out of it...some like, some don't.
It,s a copy of the glycine combat sub
Ah, good call. Pretty similar. Different crown guard, but otherwise very similar.
which reference number? I never saw anything similar to this by Glycine
@@RageAgainstTime just the case really, bezel as well. Not the inserts or the dials. Look at the combat sub 42.
@@EscapeWheel I guess the whole colorful design and little modifications make it look like a completely different watch. I wouldn't consider it a "copy" though.
What happens that the Chinese don't know how to design watches that they have to take advantage of the work of others?
