This yellow dial looks the best of the bunch. I love the contrast of the blue indices against that yellow, too!

Hey man, I didn't know you had a watch channel. I have been checking CAM for almost a couple of years. I took you advise and grabbed a Douk ST 01 amp and couldn't be happier. I have it pushing a vintage set of Marantz speakers circa early 80s that maxed at 250 wpc. The amp doesn't push them to the limit by any means but the sound from the amp and those speakers is absolutely magic. I will be checking this channel out too. I have a Phoibos Voyager in light blue that is one of my favorite daily wears. I love the watch. We have two hobbies in common. I think we are about the same age too. I was in the 1989 high school class.
Nice! Not done going through your past videos, but as I'm new to the channel and the hobby, would love a 'basics' video from you on watches. Some of the things you're chatting about are new or foreign to me. You've done them on your CAM channel and it really helped me jump into that side of the world. 🙃

Finally a new watch review. Though I'm not the biggest fan of Divers and GMT watches, it never hurts to see what's out there that might catch my eye. More of a Chronograph and Sports/dress type watch. Just got a Bulova Precisionist with a quartz movement, but it's their super smooth 262 khz movement that looks like a mechanical. Also just bought a Cestrian Master Series V1, a micro brand made in England. The Bulova was barely used and the Cestrian is new. Combined both cost about the same as that Phoibos.
I also got a precisonist. I was able to get a good deal on it on Black Friday sale. Its awesome how smooth the sweep is on it. It has kept perfect time since I've had it. Literally to the second. I set my automatic watches by it. Congrats to both of us for getting one. The Jet Star is nice but it is way out of my price range now.
I like this brand, they have a Bronze version I think, I need to check out the current lineup! Thanks for sharing.!

I've been on the hunt for an affordable GMT to take in the water with me. This is SO CLOSE and their colorways are gorgeous, but it would be a bit dainty on my wrist 😢

I must be really cheap. Since 77 I have had 3 Timex digital watches and the one I have now gains 5 1/2 seconds/month. Pretty cheap I am it appears.The current one has way too many features so my next watch will be a better quality watch with many less features

The only cons I see is the bracelet who do not decrease the width while approacing the clasp, pity
So, looking to the specs, we need to agree that this watch is better than seiko ssk001.
Seiko is decreasing their quality at the same pace they increase the prices.
A couple of years back, in 2020, I experienced the worst customer service you can imagine by Phoibos. Since then, I spend my hard earned money elsewhere.

Im sorry that you had that experience with them but you might want to give them another chance. Amy at Phoibos has always been extremely helpful and very quick to respond to any and all of my questions and/or concerns regarding everything from how many pieces they have left of a certain colorway to walking me through how to return a watch that just didnt suit me like I thought it would, no questions asked. She kept in touch the entire time by sending me updates to let me know that she had received the watch, that it had passed their return inspection and even when I could expect to see the funds be credited back into my account. Nothing but a great experience all the way around as recently as this very day when she responded to my question about the date their current sale would end. Just saying a lot could have changed in the years since you last interacted with them thats all.

For those who are thinking of buying one, just know that the sides of the bezel and the crown are sandbalsted and look really ugly.
