San Martin only seem to engrave the caseback on their limited editions, like their year of the dragon GMTs. It’s not needed but a cost cutting measure nonetheless, would give a more premium feeling tho! Too bad the whole bezel isn’t lumed. But it seems overall still leaps ahead of the not so much less expensive Pagani.
The blue does nothing for me, but that green is really nice. I'm kinda sick of GMT watches, but it's not like having extra functionality is a bad thing.
I love it more than my Richard Mille RM 74-01, my URWERK U 120 and my Greubel Forsey GMT Globe. They are nothing to me compared to this fantastic, gorgeous, exorbitant timepiece...
I'm sure that this will have the SanMartin fans going crazy to get one in their rotation for me no thank you I'm not a fan of Arabic numerals around the dial but that steel finishing is amazing for the price Thanks for sharing my friend Be well and Stay Frosty 👍
Great review. Thank you. I have to disagree on the bezel alignment. As it is a 24 click, it absolutely should have aligned at any price point. If they had used a 120 click diving mechanism it would have been preferable as this basic error would have been hidden.
Thank you for that . This must be the first San Martin review I’ve seen that has highlighted a bezel misalignment, which as someone relatively new to this “ hobby “ , is a bit worrying. My most expensive watch to date is the Seestern Glashutte homage which in my estimation is perfect . I treated myself and It was round £140 at the time , delivered. I have quite a collection of Addiesdive watches all less than £100 ( or even £50 in sales ) which have amongst other things great lume and perfectly aligned bezels . I’ve promised to treat myself to a SM( if I can make up a good reason) , one of their new original designs , but would be very disappointed if the most expensive watch in my collection had a similar bezel issue as this one . As I think you have said in the past , when you have seen something you can’t un see it .
Thanks for great review. I didn’t even know this was a Homage at first. I mean it’s a $200 plus Homage from SM. If you like the looks, it’s going to be a great quality. 21mm though…😑
Thanks for the video. Stunning blue!! 21mm is just stupid....WHY SM WHY???? The bezel alignment can likely be massaged into place with some very warm (almost hot) water. Fixed a couple that way. Think I got that fix from your 3 or 4 years ago.
So close but so far. The Pagani version dial is closer to the original version, but the build quality is worse. If somebody smashed these two together then it would be perfect!

Once one bites the bullet and learns how to realign bezel inserts oneself, this jssue becomes significantly less irksome

Pls behave like an adult. Odd lugsizes are only a problem in under-developed countries since Rolex started using them now as well.

It is time you reviewers stop complaining about odd lug widths. Rolex has 21mm now yet I hear no complaints in those reviews.
I dnt even care about what Rolex do and the complaint is for the subscribers who often make them.

Most of us have plenty of 20mm straps to swap around, 21mm is a pain and will put me off buying. Try finding inexpensive 21mm fkm straps.
