Thanks for the great review. That’s a great way to put it. They are becoming undeniable. Speaking of which, you have to wonder; are Swiss, Japanese, etc. brands just in denial about the emergence of Chinese Brands. I was not around when Rolex or Seiko first came onto the scene, but I was when San Martin did. It’s going to be interesting to see what the watch world will look like in ten years time. Thanks!

Been wearing my orange grapefruit for the past couple weeks. I think it'll be one the favorites of my collection. Some watch fans are way too uptight. Colorful watches like these are meant to be fun.

Im trying so hard not to buy another watch, but i love the value and build in this one and the color (colour) looks fun. Great reciew and i think you're spot on with the counterbalance.

That’s a sharp looking watch love the vibrant colour! Shame about that bezel alignment argh that irks me. Love the bracelet on this one as well
Bought this actual watch and I can honestly say it’s one of the nicest watches I think I have ever owned. I’ve owned nice watches before and spent way too much on watches in the past but the value and quality of this is unreal! Size is perfect, colour looks great, bracelet is comfy attention to detail is great! Very very happy, going to have to buy another San Martin in the future. Thanks 👍

Agree about the counter balance throws the seconds hand off a bit, and I do love the clasps and on the fly adjustment.

Great review of an amazing watch. A year ago I bought the original blue dial GMT sn0116 and I still love it. The case/bracelet are perfect, I really like the drilled lugs, colour matched six o'clock date etc, I had to buy it, because there was literally nothing I didn't like 😁

San Martin put a lot of effort in this watch. I like the bezel insert and how well it blends with the colourful dial. Maybe the hour hand could be beefed up a bit. But I wouldn't be happy if I received a copy with a misaligned bezel insert. Some other brands send you a picture of your copy, I believe Proxima does that. It gives you some piece of mind when you order a watch. Frankly I've been turning away from San Martin because of potential QC issues.

Glad I watched this before I pulled the trigger, the trigger I won't be pulling now I've seen that bezel not lining up.
I know Seikos seldom line up, but I don't buy them either for that reason.

No problem mate but I would definitely caveat that with the fact that, aside from this watch, I’ve never had a misaligned bezel on a SM watch 👍👍
@@WatchtheTime Probably just unlucky with that one then mate. To be fair, the watch itself, finishing etc, looks superb for the price. I'd take the gamble if buying from the UK because at least I could send it back (like I did with a £1200 Seiko🙄).

I picked this watch up and the the diagnonal lines of the bezel triangle look wobbly/uneven (I know the domed glass could create an effect), yours looks totally even in the video...do you see any wobbly lines on the bezel marker depending on the angle?

New colors don't make an original design IMHO. When the resale value becomes good, they will be undeniable.

I’ve had a few SM watches, great quality but you gamble with the colours. They really struggle with blue and the colour never matches the website images.
They are a nightmare to return to, they request you post it tracked/recorded but then refuse to refund you the postage costs. Poor customer service. Be careful with your colours!

All 3 in this series are just a bit too cartonish, almost like comparing a grape jolly rancher to a real grape, the colors are just off. Better colors are easily doable, look at Henry Archer. Plus they need high beat movements.
Henry Archer is a great shout but quite a bit more expensive than San Martin and given that, I’d choose this tbh 👍👍
