I thought the birth of slaneesh was at the beginning of the age of strive?
Didn't know about the dates of the knight worlds though, hadn't expect them to be so early, thanks

Slannesh birth lead to the age of strife and the end of the Aeldari empire, the warpstorm that came with it made most of the galaxy and so the human domain seperated and isolated. You could say that the birth of slaneesh not only doomed the eldar race, but also the human, and other xenos. Only when Slaneesh had been fully "born" did the warp storms end and opened the way for the Emperor to leave the sol system, and unite the human race once more. But the Birth of Slaneesh is the whole reason why everything is as it is now in 40K.
So the timeline here is not 100% lore correct, but the lore is not very accurate either, depends on what book you read. But the exodus of the Aeldari, and the warpstorms that lead to the age of strife coincide with the birth of slaanesh, then it takes a couple of 1000 years where slaneesh kills the Eldar gods, before being fully Born, and eye of terror become some what stable.

@@Brissebrajan I thought the birth of slaneesh helped humans by blowing out all the major warp storms making warp travel possible again. I also thought it was earlier, and a key component in ending the dark age

@@doctordoubledakka3939 it depends a lot of where the "lore" is found. I have no deep knowledge of the events, but from what i have read, and how i understand it, it was not like an instant event. It took a few(hundred or thousand) years. And when slaneesh was "fully" birthed the storms subsided. But the moment she was "initialy" birthed, the consumation of millions of Aeldari souls was so great that the eye of terror burst open, releasing warp storm across the galaxy. And by that making warp travel impossible, isolating world across the galaxy. Depending on where you read it corresponds to the same timeline of when the age of strife began M25-M30, Grim Dark Corner, Warhammer40K.fandom.. Lexicanum, you get somewhat different explanations of the event. And other sources like codexes etc, also sometimes have different information. Some is down to retcons, other perhaps down to "the fog of war" that no real records have survived flavor etc. But yes when slaneesh was finished with the Aeldari souls and their gods, the storms dissipated and opened the warp for space travel.

@@Brissebrajan Very cool, the releasing of warp storms into material space may have been what cleared up the imaterium for warp travel. That built up pressure was bust out unto real space; in good Ol' slanesh fashion.
Sounds like ur proposing a slow motion explosion? Which i guess is like a star? Personally i believe Slanneesh attempted to fit all those souls in at once. Excess and all that, stretch it out whatever orifice the souls go in.
What kind of duration do you think Slanesh's birth had? I imagine deprived elves dirty thoughts coalescing in the warp for quite a bit of time, maybe millennia, but once it reaches critical mass, boom goes the dynamite.
Also the warp is all timey wimey, a day can last for years, and you can sleep and awake in last week.

@@doctordoubledakka3939 ohh i have no idea, to be honest, i just remember things that i have read over the years, from the time of the original Epic to today. But i have not gone on the deep of much other than Space Wolves lore. I just got a bit triggered by the time line, becouse i remember that it have been mentioned in the lore that the end of Eldar was the beginning of the age of strife.
My guess is that as an "infant" slaanesh would have feeded like crazy on the souls of the eldar/aeldari, and when there were no more souls in reach, she started feeding on their gods. When the frenzy was over, the warp calmed. There are a lot of sources on the different wiki pages, sourced from every possible book released. =)

What is your reference for ancient humans fighting orks on Sedna? There are records from the early great crusade anou 8 whole legions fighting something on Sedna, but that was way later.

considering there is no time and multiple realitys/timelines it can birth from
attaching a time to the warp is kindof a flaw
better to word it as its attachment to this reality becomes relevant then creation or birth
the eldar gods where created at the start of the eldar
eldar where a weapon afterall, but compared to orks they seem like a pretty pathetic creation
until you include their godmaking ability
the eldar whernt the weapon, their gods where and they where already made and fighting in the war in heaven
also the chaos gods, time again, tzeentch did convince the deceiver afterall, before the war in heaven
there is also the tyranid probe closely(thousands of years after, but pretty close in a galactic scale) after the war in heaven, called because of the psychic death screams of the old ones gave notice of life
they arrived to rubble and left again seeing not enough nutrients to justify the effort
tho remains where left on several planets as they refueled reserves for the return journey
    slight correction
unlike the vespid, the kroot are not a part of the tau empire
tho they are a vassal race and closely tied to the empire, they are not a part of it, no matter how much the watercaste tried to convince the shapers
kroot sensory organs could also detect ethereals more sinister attempts and where refused negotiating privileges after
the kroot remain close allies and mercenaries but are not part of the empire, unless during negotiations with larger enemy empires to seem bigger and stronger and get beneficial deals
    beyond that a great tldr
