I made these exactly as you did. There were okay, but quite heavy. My family tried them, However, no WOW reactions. I will try less flour & maybe a french recipe & compare. I enjoyed making them though.
Pseudo Croissants never taste like the real thing. It's all in the butter layering and folding, it may look like a Croissant but it tastes like a bread roll.
@@Jambobist I find it hard to accept something that looks like a croissant, but tastes like a bread roll. Croissants take a minimum of two days to make, there are no shortcuts.

Thank you for posting this recipe. I have tried so many croissant recipes and I have to admit, they are my kryptonite. Takes two days and results are good some times and not so good other times. This recipe cut a 2-day process down to ~4 hrs with fabulous results. The lamination method you use in this recipe is fantastic and fool proof.

I tried it and it was a success. I always dreamed of making croissants... but they seems so labor intensive. This is all just easy dough work, and rise and form and bake. Really an excellent recipe : )

Ciao Davide, ho una domanda sulla torta al latte. Vorrei sapere cosa intendi quando dici di imburrare e oleare la teglia da 24 cm. Puoi scrivermi la sequenza precisa, dato che di solito io imburro e infarino la teglia (senza carta da forno) oppure ritaglio la forma della base, poi la striscia per il bordo, imburro l'interno della teglia, appoggio le due parti di carta da forno, riimburro e verso il composto. Pseudo Croissants never taste like the real thing. It's all in the butter layering and folding, it may look like a Croissant but it tastes like a bread roll.
Well the recipe is for croissant shaped bread, you should find a real croissant recipe.

Thank you for posting this recipe. I have tried so many croissant recipes and I have to admit, they are my kryptonite. Takes two days and results are good some times and not so good other times. This recipe cut a 2-day process down to ~4 hrs with fabulous results. The lamination method you use in this recipe is fantastic and fool proof.

I tried it and it was a success. I always dreamed of making croissants... but they seems so labor intensive. This is all just easy dough work, and rise and form and bake. Really an excellent recipe : )

Ciao Davide, ho una domanda sulla torta al latte. Vorrei sapere cosa intendi quando dici di imburrare e oleare la teglia da 24 cm. Puoi scrivermi la sequenza precisa, dato che di solito io imburro e infarino la teglia (senza carta da forno) oppure ritaglio la forma della base, poi la striscia per il bordo, imburro l'interno della teglia, appoggio le due parti di carta da forno, riimburro e verso il composto.
