Hello. I am from Czech Republic. My aunt used to make a similar croissant. It was made of 24 layers. So 6 slices of dough with butter, and folded 4 times and rolled out again :-) Beautiful work, a great memory for me.

I am going to make this today! I will give you guys an update:) Update (so far): My yeast didn’t turn fluffy like in the video, but it didn’t really change anything. I think it depends on the type of yeast, not all yeast need to be activated. Btw i made double the amount, because i thought the dough was small. However, I ended up making 12 croissants. I think I’m just really bad at baking sometimes, because it didn’t turn out like in a video. It was crispy on the outside and on the first two layers, but it kinda tasted like regular milk bread.

I don’t know much about making croissants so I don’t know how the inside should look, compared to other croissants the cross section of the layers look a lot thinner while yours seems to look a little thick. I don’t mean to show any disrespect don’t get me wrong I’ll still eat it! I was wondering if the thickness of the layers are based on your personal preference or the preference of others?

cause for the amount of flour used the size and amount aint adding up its supposed to be 12 equal with 3 cups of flour but in this recipe 2 cups and only 6 pieces
well obviously it is going to be the best way, but this is a great alternative to same-day croissants for those of us who don't want to spend 2-3 days making 6 croissants.

Not good at all hard as a brick , the butter lamination did not work for me at at too soft and melted therefore the croissants were very hard as a brick when I baked them 😢
Kings Flour 11% was very good used a different recipe and lamination technique , the croissants with the different recipes and the same flour came out perfect, but this recipe was no good for me if I could would send a picture of the different recipe no used
Yummy and beautiful . I like working with dough and feeling a connection with it. It's calming and releases stress. I am tempted to try the recipe even if it's time-consuming 😊 I am sure it is worth it.❤
Hi Liza i,m from Pennsylvania USA I liked very much your recipe because is easy and can be use not only for croixants,can be use like puff pastry for many other desserts,the only one problem I got is the butter,because I got lactose intolerance and I homemade ghee from butter for this reason,and I will try your recipe using my ghee and I will let you know for the final result.Wish me luck 🍀

youare mistaken, as it can still be done in the traditional folding on the same day, and its much easier than how is done here

i think its just ebcause in this layer they only use 8 layers but in others they use lik 26 i think😅

The classical and original way of folding the dough is the best. With my full respect to your folding method

Great recipe but 250grams of flour is ONE cup not TWO as mentioned.
No its 2 cups flour
Tamar is a good one but I think it's 🤔 and I have to go to the doctors tomorrow to see what happens 😊
That's why its easier and more accurate to use grams, i use a kitchen scale
Depending on the measuring cups being used - whether it be Imperial or Metric.
