- With the recent release of Punch-Out! for the Wii, I decided to do a walkthrough for one of the games in the series, Super Punch-Out!! for the Snes. These videos are just for fun and are not meant to show off my ability of playing the game or anything else. I ain't the greatest player, so of course i'm bound to make stupid mistakes. Just enjoy and thanks for watching.

Nick Bruiser - This is it......the last fighter and he will give you a run for your money. Honestly, this fight went on for WAY too long since i haven't played this game in a while, so bear with it. He mainly has the same tactics as his brother, Rick. The only difference is that Nick can deal A LOT of damage in one hit, even if you block his punches. He can be fast at times, and may, out of nowhere, try to throw a punch. This a test of reflexes and nerve. Learn his patterns, dodge quickly, and soon enough, your the Special Circuit Champ and have beaten Super Punch-Out!! for Snes!

Dude, it's so refreshing to see a video of Super Punch Out that isn't super crazy perfect. You get more of a feel for what the game is actually like when you watch somebody play who fumbles a little, rather than someone who knows exactly how to manipulate everything to get perfect KOs.

I get tired of it and the comments saying "Rick is harder than Nick!".
Well, I beat Rick pretty easy. Nick I had a hard time beating without losing. I barely even won in general without getting a game over.
Yeah, exactly. I get that zallard and other hardcore Punch-Out players want to show their incredible skills, but their videos don't show too much of the actual gameplay, it's just instant knockout after another. So far I've found only one guy who took some time to make thorough tutorial-type videos for SPO but I can't remember his name unfortunately.
Also, Aqualung did great review/playthroughs for both MTPO and SPO with useful tips and not-perfect gameplay. That dude is seriously underrated.

It's crazy to believe that Glass Joe beat this guy just because an accident...
Well anything can happen in a match as low as the chances are and even Nick Bruiser can have bad luck too

I really liked how Rick is all cool with his loss but Nick hets all butthurt over it.

I'm not sure if it's a refrence per say, but I like how Mr sandman's walk in Punch out Wii is very reminiscent of Nick's walk here
(Mostly with the heavy and noticable footsteps)

I had no idea that if you narrowly lost he said "too close", I'm so used to seeing speedrunners when they get the "piece of cake" line

Another move the Bruiser Bros. like to employ is when they block some of your punches, they do some kind of head and body shake before they use a downward smash attack punch down on your arm and temporarily disable your arm if you don’t dodge correctly.
Nick doesn’t shy away from temporarily disabling both of your arms at once.
Anyone else notice G Joe in Nick's best times??

Always loved that cannon shot sound when Nick throws those extra powerful punches that still hurt through guarding.
When he starts his hurricane he slways strikes gut first. Block then immediately jab left at his face to stop the rush.
This guy is _extremely_ professional.

Crazy. As i was I kid i thought he was huge but it turns out he doesn't even make it to be a heavyweight. He is only 210 lb, and for that weight he looks like 1.83 tall max

you can actually dodge every single attack in this game yes even nick bruisers health draining attacks at 1:20 just time it right and watch out for the last uppercut ^^

Well, it's different for everyone, but yeah. with Nick and his first barrage of punches, if you punch him and he blocks, you speed up his counterattack and have a chance to land some special punches before he does with his overhead attack. He's faster and stronger than his brother, but Rick has that nifty earthquake trick and counter punches for anything you throw at him.

@@roxas5071 Something that shouldnt happen which costed Nick the match.
Which in his case, he accepted the match while he is really ill. He lost because of that reason.
I can fly through every character without getting kmocked down, even after not having played the game in years. Except Nick. He hit so hard it always throws me off and without a few practice rounds hes the only one i struggle with. And i hate that damn flurry punch.
Before i learned how to beat him, i was AFRAID to challenge him, even tho it's just a video game.

Sometimes, I like to think that Nick Bruiser is very prideful and arrogant when he is champ. Like, I can tell he is trying to look tough and intimidating and uses moves that most of them time tries to be tough but looks to be way easier than Rick Bruiser.

Blocking that power punch sequence is the wrong way to play Nick Bruiser. Just keep ducking to the left consistently, and no damage will be inflicted.
Or at least swing in between the blocks. You can exchange hits in that sequence.
Left or right, it is hard to dodge them all though accurately.
His face while punching reminds me of Vladimir Putin.

Rick only tries to temporarily break one of your arms. Nick isn’t shy about temporarily breaking both of your arms at once.
Which is weird because Rick was really easy to me. I always lose to Nick.
Why was he not in the Wii game?
The Wii focused on fan-favorites of the franchise so no arcades character or anyone from this game sadly except for Aran Ryan
@@kazallroberts I prefer the Aran Ryan in this over the Wii version. He never really cheated (maybe aside from grabbing Mac), while in the Wii version he did cheat.

I don't know why but I feel nick is a bit German. GSG9 (German counter terrorists) are trained to take care of a chicken for a week and then kill it, that way when a threat is a friend or family member. There troops have no hesitation to kill, nick dominated rick to the point where rick claims he let him win because on how there was no mercy shown in the fight.
Nick sorta acts like Von Kaiser. He acts like a clock when you go down which clocks do represent Germany.
But then again he could be American or something, who knows?

You need to beat all circuits without getting knocked out than you will get the special circuit
i mean, why this character doesn't appear in the news series of punch out .
The new Punch-Out was mainly based on the NES version since it was the most famous one and has the most well remembered fighters. However, it does have Bear Hugger and Aran Ryan from SPO.
Here's hoping they someday make a new one and fighters like Narcis Prince, Mad Clown and Masked Muscle can make a comeback too. Maybe Dragon Chan and Hoy Quarlow if they ditch the foreign objects.
