To be fair both in the original and in the remake, the bow guy is firing arrows off of the string behind his back, as his entire body is a bow.
Back then I just got freaked out from watching this 😅
@theenderkirby939 I mean he's a pretty jarring character able to fire a bow, and hit villagers in a whole other area with really mean accuracy.

That wallet wasn’t Croco’s. Croco stole it from a toad. And Mario can either sell it or return it. And returning it gives a better reward rewarding you for being nice.
When I sold the wallet, I went to talk to the toad and I was in shock realizing it was his. I restarted the save and gave the wallet back 😭😭
if you sell the wallet not only are you a prick you are also dumb for wasting something more valuable from the start.

Not really.
Having an extra 123 coins early in the game helps with certain purchases.
Getting a Flower Tab or Frog coin later on is effortlessly pointless. You won't need many FPs until probably Moleville if you play conservatively. Besides, you can earn limitless Flowers from Booster Hill and the Mushroom Boy later.
If you sell the wallet...the owner will stay mad at you. Forever.

Just because he used Nintendo games to get popular doesn't mean he's not a real fan of them. He has fun playing them and genuinely enjoys them. He's said before that he loves his job. I feel like he wouldn't love his job if his job was to make videos about games he doesn't like

Never played the original, but I’ve played the entire Mario and Luigi series and I’ve played paper Mario 64 and super paper Mario and enjoyed all those games. I heard a lot of good about this game, and it absolutely delivered
Same right here. As a person who played the first three Mario & Luigi games and paper Mario 64, this will sure be a treat. As well as the TTYD remake.

I played M&L SSS and I loved it I played PM TOk and It was super fun I played Paper Mario 64 and it was godly I played Ttyd and It is the best Paper Mario game I played (SPM is my favorite but I haven’t played it) And BIS was also Godly I really want to play Mario rpg remake too (Maybe on my Birthday)
I haven't played many of the Mario RPGs but this looks cool and I wanna try it
Even in 4K the music of Super Mario RPG hits so hard
Several of the points in the video can boil down to "there are many secrets in this game, many of which drive some peeps insane"

@@andresugalde916 I see m&l as the sequel tbh, it's not in a paper world, it's in the og mario world, and it's mario going on in an adventure rpg style, but this time with his brother Luigi, the m&l series also is kinda like Luigi's character arc, which is why I'm against Luigi being a playable character in MarioRPG, it ruins continuity by already giving Luigi a big name by being one of the people who defeated a multi-universal being

Thousand year door, like I don’t know there’s just something I don’t like about the super Mario rpg remake and I haven’t played it yet, but it just looks kind of bad in some spots that I’ve seen

I played through the entire game the weekend it came out and still can't believe it's real. Seeing one of my favorite childhood games recreated like that after so many years of it being largely ignored...it was surreal.

To your point on there being no voiced cutscenes, I can immediately imagine Mallow with Kirby’s voice acting for his dialogue. Given how Mallow’s new design gives off major cutesy Kirby vibes, it should’ve made sense for Mallow to have that kind of voice.
Though they did add Bowser noises, for some, interesting reason.

I'm WAY more mad at Mack being renamed. Like I get that the name was a Woolseyism, but did it really need to change? Yaridovich I understand because it was basically a non-translation.
The original was already an easy game. The following changes all make it even easier: Auto-saves, action command prompts, looser inventory limit, item storage, weakness/resistance text, easier to follow eggs in the lucky game, triple attacks, early signal ring, echo signal ring... *and they decided it needed an easy mode?!*

Honestly, when I saw they gave us action command timing I was a bit upset because I thought it was going to be permanent. However, after finding out it goes away when you get good enough I started being okay with it, especially since it'll only come back if you start doing bad with the timing again.
3:27 For those wondering, I think Yardovich was the original name in japanese (not sure but not gonna check honestly XD). My guess is that the name was re-translated because in japanese "Yari" means "Spear" and they just made a complete translation
That's interesting. I've noticed though that in Wonder some of the enemies don't have English names. Weird how they didn't translate in such a new game
Yaridovich's name was changed because "yari" is the name of a weapon in Japanese and they just gave up on giving him a new name originally
Not saying "Speardovich" is good, in fact I still think of him as Yaridovich, but it makes sense

0:37 Uh, holding R or L when moving you walk slower allowing you to make those jumps in the fireplace levels more carefully. Giving you the option allows you to pick which one u want for default. Many may prefer to walk and hold down R or L as a way to speed up with a more natural feeling.

Honestly I'm glad they did a remake and I'm glad I spent the money, hoping Square will someday make a remake of Chrono Trigger. But, this remake is a shallow remake and it took away just as much charm as it added through the animations. That being said, I haven't finished the game yet so I don't have a complete body of work, but a lot of my fond memoriesdidn't get represented like I would have hoped, like a lot of the enemy spells seemed underwhelming.

There’s a little bit of voice acting in the cutscenes; Bowser laughs and makes his other various Bowser noises.
Honestly even a short voice clip or that animal crossing jibberish would’ve been better than just silence in the cutscenes.
Is there a reason why the videos now are "Trash" instead of "Triggers"? It sounded way better and made more sense.

They ruined it by making it easier than it already was. Music and graphics are good, but then there's a bunch of wall hax and skip glitches.. not to mention the splash damage, swapping of characters if they fall asleep in battle etc... (defeating the purpose of ailments), the game is absolutely broken :( it could have been a good thing... this is proof that Quality Assurance is nonexistent with Nintendo. They could at least offer DLC to fix these things and even add a hard mode. What did they do in the meantime? THEY ADDED AN EASY MODE!!! That's soooo backwards thinking...

I'm not sure if this is because of something with my switch but my switch crashed and the game corrupted when I went into Barrel Volcano and I literally had to reinstall it.

Actually, the wallet is a toads in the mushroom kingdom. If you remembered that his wallet was gone, you give it to him if you remember.
Yardiovich was an untranslated name. Yari is the Japanese word for spear. The original translators forgot to translate it, so they translated it this time.
It´s funny to me how Brandy keep remarking the times that Mario should Die like he was a normal human.
This makes me excited for whatever triggered or mind blown comes next.

Bro that animation was amazing
4:11 is easily my biggest legitimate problem with Super Mario RPG. The platforming in this game is utter garbage because of the isometric depth perception. An isometric perspective does not work well with platforming. Platformers are better off committing to a 2D perspective like Super Mario Bros. or 3D free-camera perspective like Super Mario Galaxy.

Let’s not forget about obtaining the super suit. So what you have to do is super jump an enemy 100 times in one attack. Now that already sounds bad but what’s worse is that you have a three frame time window to nail the hit once you reach a certain amount. The super suit is worth it imo but it’s still a brutal task.
Typical Square Enix. Have you tried dodging 200 lightnings without a mistake in Final Fantasy X?
