This is one of the most faithful remakes ever. Besides splash damage and triple moves. They should make a super Mario RPG 2 where you have to go and save Luigi. All the stars fall to seven different locations throughout time. That would give the chance to go through a lot of old Mario history. You eventually run into the kingdom of Vanda and find out Culex is the main boss.
They should've added my boy as part of like a second quest, like in the Galaxy games.
For the “angry” pose it actually represents Exor, the sword that crashed into bowsers keep. He also does this in the middle-late part of the game in…… uh idk 😅

The Geno Whirl trick on Exor wasn't a bug. It was intended, it's written directly into the code of the game.
No, what's written into the code is the protection the left eye provides ending when the eye is disabled. What they didn't account for was they also made it disable the code that protects bosses from Geno Whirl's 9,999 hit.
Final Fantasy music not only plays after the battle, but DURING the battle. It's Final Fantasy IV boss music.
It's pronounced "Cue-lex," (like "cube") and "Peach's xxx" in Japan doesn't necessarily mean something dirty as basically it means the same as "Peach's ???"
Also Punchinello was still Punchinello in the SNES original, he was only considered James Bomb by the localizer prerelease.
I thought it has meant to hide her "kokeshi". This is a wooden doll similae to the 3DS's Miis but it's also an euphemism for a vIbrator or something that. (or at least I remember seeing this item being found there somewhere, unless I'm making a mistake)
This was my first time experiencing Super Mario RPG, and it was a very enjoyable experience. I wouldn't mind a true sequel to be in the works so I can enjoy that one too.
honestly they should've made luigi playable after beating the game. example:after beating the game you're allowed to choose to play mario or luigi while starting a new game.
They could of make the game a Harder version if you DID Pick Luigi.
I wanted Luigi to be who is hiding behind the house in the mushroom kingdom. Maybe they’ll update a new game + where Luigi, Samus & Link will all finally be playable.

its not laziness. Generally these RPGs are told for a singleplayer experience. Also its a faithful remake and yeah, like @Themacattack1209 said, it was simply a developer's choice.
You forgot about staying too many nights in Marrymore suite. If you stay until you can't pay, you are forced to be the bellhop to pay for your dues.
I loved this game as a kid! I always wanted luigi as a 6th party member in it and I'm bummed they didn't do that in the switch remake. It's a missed chance to make this game even more of a classic!
It is my hope that the remake is successful enough to warrent development of a SMRPG2 which will introduce luigi

there's a few more secrets, if you return to Star Hill after playing the post game content and read the wishes of the defeated enemies they'll be different. Loved this game 27 years ago and now, still have my game cartridge I bought from the video store :D
The line referencing Bruce Lee being removed was very depressing to me. Was one of my favorite lines in the game and always made me laugh :(

i find it funny how they showed the aquitar rangers ("mighty morphin alien rangers") when talking about the power rangers reference. considering that they're the most irrelavant rangers to the power rangers franchise, and they don't even have a pink ranger like the axem rangers in the game do
I noticed that too! 😂 To be fair though what we Americans call "Alien Rangers of Aquitar" from that late Season 3 arch are actually the ranger team from "Kakuranger," a beloved Sentai series which was much better than the lousy "Mighty Morphin Alien Rangers" we got here.
People think you couldn't get the hidden chest in the Mushroom Kingdom in the original if you missed it but that toad does also appear late in the original but it is a lot harder to get him up near the door. I did it when I was a kid playing the original.
6:18 - Final Fantasy Music plays not only after the Culex battle (Victory Fanfare), but DURING the battle, the music is boss battle music from Final Fantasy 4 (which at the time was known as Final Fantasy "2" for the SNES in North America).
However, one thing that I learned in this video is that the first hidden treasure box in the Mushroom Kingdom Castle isn't actually missable! I always that that if you didn't jump on Toad's head and get it the first time, that it could never be obtained again! Glad to know I was wrong. :)

The Axem Rangers are a reference to Super Sentai. Which was way more popular in Japan before it got brought to the US as Power Rangers.

They need to add multiplayer Luigi to Mario 64 it’s almost 2024 and this exists only in the 90s
Luigi wasn't a character in the SNES game because of limited space, in which they crammed an incredible amount of content into. I think making Mario so smol and short pretty much kept them from just doing a red/green palette swap. When working with such limited resources they had to make clever choices like making his head 50% of his body to be able to convey as much expression with the least amount of pixels.

Their feature titles are tochnically not RPGs so don't think that's a proper reason. By that opinion Mario himself should also not be in RPGs as he is already playable in Super Mario titles.
