Fixing Mini-Fridge Thermostat - Mine freezes everything

I'm trying to repair my mini fridge. It freezes everything, even when set very low. I am working to readjust the thermostat and I purchased a replacement in case I was not successful. In the end, I have it fixed just by adjusting the old thermostat correctly.

Yes, I am a "fixer" and don't like to pitch things if they can be fixed. It's getting harder to do that these days.

My stat was calling for cold all the time (stuck closed). I submerged the old capillary tube in ice water and checked continuity and it had a permanent closed connection. It would not open the circuit to allow compressor to stop cooling. Confirmed it was bad for sure bye testing a new one and it would show a closed circuit when I removed it from ice water and an open circuit when tube was in ice water. Your video helps greatly on adjusting the range calibration. Thank you.

Yes, they can stick closed. I actually have another fridge that did that and was running full out, but I was able to (temporarily) get it freed up and operating by rotating it from max to min a few times. I'll be swapping that one out soon.
