- This video shows how we created a beverage center in our home. It has proven to be very functional and a great place to start our day. My goal for 2017 is to organize one area of our home each week.

If you have a World Market near you they have all the stirrers on Christmas clearance. The company that makes the chocolate peppermint sticks has been in business forever, but they had those at World Market too.
I dont have one close, BUT, i do have one about 45 minutes south of me......i have to go now! hahaha

That tea stash!! 😍seriously that looks so good! I've been wanting to try some peppermint tea.
I just got into peppermint tea this past year. OMGoodness it is so good in the afternoon. I look forward to that time of day when I can just be. Plus I love those Hammond peppermint sticks too. I wished I had a World Market close to me, they have their Christmas goodies on clearance.

Shey, I can so relate to you and the challenges of caring for your mom. Mine has end stage Alzheimer's and has been on and off hospice. It can be heart breaking at times, but we just have to live in the moment and do the best we can. God Bless You!
Sweetheart, Prayers for your mother..I can so relate my husband's mother had Alzheimer's for 12 yrs till her passing..My mother has Parkinson's, Dementia, Diabetes, High blood pressure, Hugh Cholesterol, Neuropathy, Restless Legs Syndrome...She's a walking medicine cabinet..
I've taken care of her disabled in the home for 8 years..Before 2 1/2 yrs ago she fell again and again did not tell me and had a blood clot the size of a grapefruit on her thigh and down her leg..She also has A Aorta Valve replacement..So on Blood thinners thank goodness Because had it not been for the thinner sit would have went to her heart and killed her..She went in the hospital and the specialists and the doctor both told me she was not coming home and I had 24 hours to find a place for her to go...It's been a mess with this nursing home..I'm praying this is a better one and being close to home I can get there in 5 mins...God Bless you and your mother my prayers are with you both...Shey
This is wonderful! I love it!!! I have a much smaller version of this and it sure does make serving beverages more simple and keeps all things needed for such in one place. I'm the curious type and always have questions because I am pro at being frugal and saving $ wherever I can. I assume you realize your coffee machine has refillable pods you can use - put your own coffee in them. I have 4 grown children and I buy everyone's favorite type (we have 3) in cans or packs (which goes on sale frequently - I find the prefilled pods do not) and each person uses coffee scoop to make their own pod. I do same with hot chocolate - purchase in bulk add to cup. I have estimated that doing this saves me about $470+ per year. I happen to have excellent tap water but still use a Brita pitcher and have a large one I keep on counter next to sink. I also have a small one I keep near the beverage center for refilling the tank avoiding having to use bottled water (Target's brand of filter is actually the Brita and costs a lot less). Before I came up with that idea, I used to keep a gallon size of water container (our favorite is Nirvana $1.00 for the gallon) under cabinet and refilled with that. I find the taste from running the water through the Brita has same taste as the Nirvana water - which to me is excellent tasting water. I also see you use the half and half pods we often see at restaurants - my kids use about 6 of them in their coffee at the diner and their cup is half the size of those we use at home! As you can imagine that was short lived at our house! You are so nice to share all your wonderful ideas and your recipes so I thought I'd share some of my frugal ideas with you. Interesting is I still pull out my faberware electric perk on the weekends because no machine I've ever used beats the flavor I get from my perk. I love your videos - you're a talented and sweet lady.

I watched a couple videos and what a great tea drawer and the clear jars that are labeled are good, my only thought (for me personally) is I watched another video on your baking center, and I would have made that my coffee and beverage center, that is a great spot for it all, I dont bake so I would not need a center for it, you are blessed to have so much room and so many options!!
Thank you Christine. The coffee/tea area is so nice in the morning time. It seems to make the day start off on a good note, I wished I would have done this years ago. I go in spurts as far as baking, this week I am making a layered coconut cake because we are having company. I tend to do more baking in the fall and around the holidays. Paula we have all boys, they are all college age. We kept trying for a girl..... I still have a lot of organizing to do on this house, but a little at a time. I try and organize by function, to make things run smoother.

I always loved how Queen Esther from the bible viewed the importance of homemaking and encouraged us to keep our cabinets in order. Not only kitchen cabinets, or the pantry or wardrobe but our role in our relationship with our spouse.....we are the highest of Cabinet members, who whispers softly in his ear and has limitless influence (hopefully with a pure heart!) So the channels name is a nod towards Esther for sure. Plus Ken used to buy me flowers each week from a flower shop called The Queens Cabinet so there is that too. :D Shelby

Hi Inkie, thank you for the kind words, our pantry has been 30 years in the making. When Ken and I were first married we had 17 dollars left over from paying our bills to spend on groceries. We made bean tostadas with all the fixings, but after a day or two there wasn't any cheese, sour cream, lettuce, tomato left.....just beans and tortillas. We ate it for breakfast lunch and dinner for two weeks straight and were thankful. After that time, I tried to add a little bit to my pantry as I could afford. It took awhile with couponing and putting away sale items but my pantry slowly grew. Today we have a household size of ten and I have been budgeting is 40 bucks per person a week for groceries, household items, personal care items and any eating out. If I don't spend the total budgeted amount, I save it up for a mega haul or like last year we bought that beef cow. Kind of like cell phone minutes., I just roll it over. This week I only spent 78 dollars, so I'll put 322 away. Hope that explains it. It's like having a even pay grocery bill. Much Love Shelby

Heather do the tea drawer in your remodel! Even with all the use it gets in my home, it stays organized! Hands down one of my favs, and it's great for entertaining too.

Where did you get the acrylic dividers?
I found them a few years ago at my pharmacy, they used the dividers to organize their medications. I tracked down the company because I thought it would be a great product to use in my home. It is from a company called Lifestyles. I am going to post a follow up video showing how the product works and contact info. SHelby
