First, your husband did an amazing job constructing this pantry. I like how he brought trim from door to trim shelves and the crown molding in the pantry was a marvelous touch. You have already shown your excellence in how you stock your kitchen. I just adore your baking center video. I have watched it more than once.lol Absolutely stunning!
Cissy thank you! Ken loves to fix things, build things etc....he has always loved having a nice home for our family, even when it was only 900 square feet when we started 30 years ago. I only have a couple more cabinets to finish organizing in the kitchen and then I want to start on my close closet wink wink :D #thatoldthing #hadthatforever(as I rip off tag) hahahaha

I want to move into your pantry - it's absolutely gorgeous - I have been watching you for several years but for some strange reason I have not seen this one - envious yes - our whole kitchen is probably smaller than your pantry!!! Seriously if my hubster came to visit you would never get rid of him - he loves cooking and it would feel like heaven at your place. I know you both worked and saved hard for this and I am so glad you share your reward with us - thanks for the inspiration

Cindy our bulk pantry just has rice, beans, oats, flour etc just the basics. Ken and I took a food preservation class and learned how to purchase in bulk, and repackage the items for long term storage. It really saves a lot of money and the technique is easy to learn. Shelby

linda estep it really is fun, my pantry is a lot like this just not organized, I use to can all my veggies and make my own fruits 🍎 when my kids was home 🏡 now it’s just me and my hubby it’s a lot of fun having all the things you need, to bake cook 👩🍳 I’m a country girl, we don’t eat out, we save a lot cooking it’s fun and nutritious my tea pantry is like hers just different teas.
And using things up goes slowly with just me and hubby here! Harder to enjoy the variety I like when it’s a slow go using foods up. Even the breads go in the fridge! Not sure how to handle this problem. Ideas? Suggestions?

I... I am flabbergasted.. That is the most amazing kitchen I have ever seen. Dairy products and vegetables in an island drawer??! Drinks in the wall by the dinner table?? I just.. I just want to be adopted. Hell I would settle to live in a camper in the backyard. We can be neighbors.. Best friends if you will.. I saw a video of a "grill" the husband got for father's day and it is a whole entire kitchen itself on the back porch! You are living a blessed life and i am happy for you. I would love to have an ice cream date lol

Thanks Mandy. We were just kicking back on the porch, it was a beautiful day here.....just gorgeous. I kept trying to video tape but kept getting interupted....first Ken walked by, then the kids, then my phone rang...then my dog....I just gave up LOL

Awe thanks Melissa, we live so far from a proper grocery store and have such a large family, that my pantry has to be stocked. We mostly cook from home and rarely eat out unless we are traveling. My very first kitchen had a half of a cupboard as a pantry, I always dreamed of a large pantry. Hugs Shelby

I almost spit out my coffee when you asked what I might store that you don't (grin). I'm pretty sure my entire kitchen isn't more than 24 cubic feet larger than your pantry. What a blessed lady you are!
Marcia I know what you mean, my first house was so small I could lay in the hallway with my head in the living room, feet in the bathroom, right arm in the kitchen and left arm in the bedroom. I had a half cupboard as my "pantry", but always dreamed about someday......it sure comes in handy with our large family and being so far from a grocery store. Hugs SHelby

Definitely my kind of pantry. The Rubbermaid shelf worked out fantastically. It's a very funtional unit. I love how each shelf holds a specific item and how convenient the overflow bins are. Your pantry is very extensive. The delicious meals that can be prepared are endless:) Very impressive. I seriously don't think I stock sometimes that you don't already have. Unless maybe... I love pickled okra and canned dilly beans. I have a supplie. lol. Thank you for sharing the goodness. I am totally amazed. I appreciate it immensely that you have shared such wonderfulness. Pam I have never had canned okra but when I fry it...well it goes like popcorn. I also use okra in a New Orleans recipe I have. I have tried canned dilly beans, my Auntie use to can them, those are wonderful!!! Hope you had a Blessed Easter too! Shelby
TheQueensCabinet I pickle my orka and green beans. They make excellent party and get together food. Absolutely love them. But I love orka cooked anyway. :) Hope you had a blessed Easter as well. :)
Wow, this is truly a home cooks pantry. It even has crown molding 😀 you guys are awesome. What a blessing to have a working pantry that could also benefit others in an emergency. Some you tubers share their food storage and get comments about hoarding or whatever and declare that they like to shop fresh everyday . Shopping fresh daily is great but every household should have a back up! Food, pet food, water and some fuel. People think the government is always there to just race in and help/ rescue- but it may take days for help to arrive. This is a beautiful pantry! My goodness your home is well thought out and so lovely😀
Jen thank you for the kind words, our pantry has been 30 years in the making. When Ken and I were first married we had 17 dollars left over from paying our bills to spend on groceries. We made bean tostadas with all the fixings, but after a day or two there wasn't any cheese, sour cream, lettuce, tomato left.....just beans and tortillas. We ate it for breakfast lunch and dinner for two weeks straight and were thankful. After that time, I tried to add a little bit to my pantry as I could afford. It took awhile with couponing and putting away sale items but my pantry slowly grew. Today Ken and I budget 40 dollars per person per week for groceries, house hold items, personal care items and eating out. I save any money I have left over each week to do two big hauls a year to restock the pantry. I don't know how young families get ahead these days because everything is so expensive. Shelby
TheQueensCabinet sounds familiar, we married young and have been married 33 years. Our first apartment was 325$ a month, we had one little car (used) and a 14" black and white tv. I sound so ancient saying that. When we were a young couple we didn't have the expenses that people do today. There was no cable and no cell phone and no internet bill. No newspaper or magazine subscriptions couldn't afford them. We ate out (breakfast or a pizza with friends once a week). We had our first two babies in a 600 sq foot apartment and were very happy😀 I watch shows now about 'tiny houses' and think we didn't even realize at the time we were living in one but we called it an apartment, lol. We were lucky to start off in Florida about half an hour from the Gulf of Mexico so that was cheap entertainment any family can afford. Now my youngest is a nurse in the same city so we get to travel down every spring and revisit all our old stomping grounds. I'm so nostalgic about the area, we always go snap a quick picture of our first apartment ( sometimes getting a stink eye from the current occupant😉) it's fun to find some of the same restaurants still in operation after 30 years! Anyways, I'm rambling thanks for the fun videos!

I really hope you read this, I am sure everyone would agree with me! I said I work as a 911 operator in the southwest.. I see so much and hear so much, but I'm used to it. My husband is in the military, lol. I know stress. I just want to say I think it's so adorable the way Ken loves you and how cute you two are! Your very blessed and you know it. You don't take things for granted and trust me nothing is guaranteed. I just wanted to say thanks for making my day a lot better!
Valerie you sure made our day, thank you. I think because Ken was in the military and in Law Enforcement, I never really knew when he left for work if he would be coming home safe that night. Beautiful. I built my home with a large walk in pantry. we just threw up some shelves until we could design it better. I may just straight up plagerize what you have done here. I wish I had room for a pantry like yours, I love to see an organized pantry and kitchen. There is nothing worse than hunting for a jar, packet or tin, not being able to find it, so go out and buy some more of said item, only to find what you were originally looking for a few hours later. Even my fridge freezer is full of clear plastic bins or clear life's containers on each shelf. So I can see at a glance what I've got, everything organized well!

Would love a video on kitchen staples for a complete kitchen. For example, different baking dishes, gadgets etc. Or you could show us everything you use most frequently!
