Ofcourse the bass is deeper in lfm but crank up the volume to max the sound is not enjoyable at all. Place it close to a wall then it will do a bit better thats it.

Fan of JBL but probably getting the SONY even over the new GO3, the GO3 & GO2 seems to have tighter bass, but the SONY just goes undeniably deeper (but of course not to their claimed 20hz).

Hey dude, thanks glad it sounds good. It's just a small mic capsule I salvaged from a broken Anker speaker lol, I did some testing with a few ones I had laying around and this one sounded best to me. Plugged into an iPhone 5. I think you should achieve similar results with a cheap lavalier mic from Amazon.

XB12 > Go 2 XB22 < Flip 5 XB32 > Flip 5 XB32 < Charge 4 XB41 < Extreme 2 XB60 < Partybox 100 XB72 < Partybox 300 XB90 < Partybox 1000. Of course, XB90 and Partybox 1000 is not a fair comparison, but Sony doesn't offer anything bigger in it's XB lineup. I wrote SB 32 twice, because it's somewhere between the Flip 5 and the charge 4. I didn't write UE, 'cause all of these speakers are trash.
This isn't really a fair comparison though. Due to the design of the xb12 (The speaker above and the passive radiator at the bottom.) Because of this design, the xb12 produces more vibration primarily aimed towards the table. It then uses the table as a resonance thing due to its design, thus producing more bass. The effect is similar to those vibration speakers where you can stick it to any surface and it uses that surface as a speaker. You could try to hang both of the speakers on the air for a more fair comparison. Thats just my opinion and suggestion.
Your right, the XB12 does benefit from surface resonance but you gotta keep in mind many users will place it like that, so it's actually a feature of the speaker which give it an advantage. But also it reaches a lot deeper in frequency without distortion. That being said, for normal songs (not bass boosted) the Go 2 will have a smoother sound overall in the mids and highs, so depends on what someone listens to the most.
all you hear on SONY SRS is bass. while JBL giving you a more naturally balanced sound. which means you can hear vocals and dialogues or hi hats or brass hits more clearly. you can hear reverbs more clearly.
Connect them both together 2x aux cords 1x Y aux cord splitter. Plug 1x aux cord into the Go2 Plug 1x cord into the XB12 Plug the 1x aux cord splitter into the phone. Plug the 2x aux cords into the Y splitter
