    I've owned two ebikes. The first one I sold because the trails I was riding I could get a good amount of loops in with a normal bike and the climbs weren't that bad, plus I didn't know that many people with ebikes. I then moved and the trails I have now require a ton of climbing to get a single dh lap in and I found I wasn't riding as much because I have limited time to ride and getting one to two laps in kind of sucked. With my ebike now I ride every week and get multiple laps in, it really motivated me to ride more knowing I can get more of the fun part in (downhills!)

      They do allow you to go further and ride up some trails you normally wouldn't. Go more miles in less time. Thanks for watching

    As always a great video mate, a great introduction to the bike and awesome shots of the ride. Thanks for sharing and keep up the good work. Ride on

    I've been having a blast on mine. My rear hub is completely silent now. My only concerns are the rear shock is know for reliability issues I've had to send back to Fox once. The battery health has shown some excessive degrading after only 14 charge cycles. I do wish I would have researched on the components of this thing since it was my biggest bike purchase. But your absolutely right , it is the best bang for buck.

      I too read about the rear shock issue. It wasn't a problem for me nor was the battery degradation. That said I didn't put a lot of miles on mine. Shimano and Fox have pretty good service so hopefully they can get you sorted out. Climbing on this bike was actually fun which was awesome. Thanks for watching David

      @@StraightLine_MTB oh for sure , I always pick the hardest line to climb with this beast.

      Update: sent shock back to Fox for the third time in 9 months and they offered to exchange for a dhx2 coil.

    That is a nice spec , I bought a clearance Intense Tazer and kinda wish I bought the Polygon. None the less E bikes are a blast.

      My buddy has a Tazer and he really likes it. The Mt Bromo is hard to beat spec wise. Thanks for watching Brent

    Most people who are against E-mtb have no idea how a class one E-mtb works. There is no reason they shouldn't be allowed on any trail. Period

      I personally don't have an issue with them but riding one made me see that it isn't just a motorcycle. I pushed pretty hard riding this and it took me up things I don't try very often on a regular bike. I get the appeal.

      @@StraightLine_MTB I get every bit as much of a workout on an e-bike as I do on my other mountain bikes. I ride at least twice as far probably cover four times the elevation. And I'm muscleling around a 53 lb YT Decoy. I've completed rides on my EMTB that I simply wanted to collapse after I was done.

      @@StraightLine_MTB ups are the new down. I used to climb to the mountain top now I climb mountain ranges. The adventures my bike has taken me on and the places I have seen since I've gotten it far exceed what I could have done on my regular MTB. And it's not that I wouldn't do epic rides it's that I might do an epic 5-8 times throughout the course of a year on my regular mountain bike now that epic is every ride on my eBike

    Hi thanks for the video and detailing some of your experience. I’m keen on an e bike because I think I’d get to so many trails that I wouldn’t otherwise. I’m lucky to have a large network near me. And this bike has the best spec that I’ve seen for the buck. Please tell me your weight so I can estimate how long the battery might last for me.

    • @StraightLine_MTB

      At the time I reviewed this bike I was around 215-220lbs. Battery life was better than I expected so long as you didn't use boost mode a lot.

    Great review, thanks! I've been looking at a T8 Polygon, and it's the same thing with the normal bikes....the spec is just so hard to beat for their prices!?
    I just can't find anything close for the same cash?

    • @StraightLine_MTB
      @StraightLine_MTB  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Andrew. Polygon has some of the best values in the game right now. For what you spend you're getting a lot. Thanks for watching

      @@StraightLine_MTB - yeah, I've been looking at other bikes at the same price point. But everything at the same price has lower spec components. Like qr wheels, or low spec suntour forks, or mt201 brakes.
      There's always a compromise somewhere. The T7 and T8 are really almost impossible to beat at the price. I'm sure the Bromo would be the same.

    Most if not all people who are anti ebikes have never ridden one. They use the same old tired arguments about earning your turns, or ebikes will destroy the trails.

    • @StraightLine_MTB
      @StraightLine_MTB  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I can honestly say that I worked similarly hard on my ebike as I do in a regular. Yes you can take it easier on the ebike but I found myself pushing to go faster on the climbs. Definitely fun

    26 miles on with a 504 battery ?

      Yes, that was with some harder riding. Would have liked to seen a bit more but I think on eco I could stretch that to close to 40.

    Just how far under $6,000 ??? It better be like $5,000 under for me to have any interest.

      $1 under 6k 😂. $5,999. Still a damn good price for what you get if it lasts with the ability to replace things years to come and doesn’t fall apart. Hopefully the company has good support.
