Awww I loved hearing about all the things your dad made for your markets! My dad passed away several years ago and he was super handy like that, so it made me so happy to hear you share. I swear this was my fave part of doing markets, was the organizing. As for the creepy heads 🤣 I make a tube with my addi machine and some white simply soft and close the top and pull down over the entire head then cinch it off at the bottom when you have the tension you want.
Organizing is such a fun and honestly often cathartic part of markets!!

Suggestion with the bins is to label them so you know at a glance what is in them. I think when you pack up after a show you (and others helping) will know where to put everything and keep organized.
Keep the fence as is (no pink) and just put a clear coat of sealer on it instead. This way you could multipurpose it for seasonal displays. Colored battery-operated looks would cute around the top and attract people into your booth. Your grandmas peg board could use some an updated look. Your market preps look great when you do posts on market vlogs.

Omg I loved the end chicken attack , keep ur rustic wooden boxes and maybe add some pink stencils designs on them , I love how rustic your displays are and changing it would be a shame , I’ve gone for similar style with what I’m able to take as I share a car with my friend so limited , I love your hay bales I do would like some too xx

Hey! If you wanted to make the mannequin heads look a little better you could do a cover with your Addi. It covers the imperfections and makes it a little more aesthetically pleasing :)

I think you should leave the fence the natural wood color because it goes with all of your other natural wood displays!!

Prepping for my first show this weekend (May 18th) and getting so much inspo from you! I picked up a wrought iron paper towel holder to stack my scrunchies on, They look super cute on there. The chicken fail was the best.

@@camryns_cute_creations It did not go so well. Apparently it was their first time hosting and they did not do well advertising. I only ended up getting my booth money back of $40.

I have my first market of the year in 2 weeks and all of my display materials are in our RV which is covered with the winter cover so I can't get in there and it's freaking me out a little 😅 this is making me feel better though haha!

Yay for vlogging season!! 😂 I was at Joann’s yesterday, and they also have some of those smaller sized wooden crates! I was so tempted to get some but wasn’t sure what I would use them for yet lol
Those display items that I'm not sure about are my biggest weakness! I always get them even if I don't know what to do with them yet 😂😂

My show went great! I'm going to take you guys with me in my upcoming vlog, but as a quick sneak peak: it was a little slower than normal, but it was the last weekend of the local fair! :)

Thank you! I've been preparing for my first craft show, and it's quite overwhelming. I applied for one in early December, but I'm eager to do my first one sooner. I haven't signed up for any events before December yet because I feel like I need to get everything ready first. It seems like I'll have to pack a lot of stuff. Additionally, do I need a shopping cart for customers?

As for your question, I've never been to a market where people offered carts like that! Certainly some of the bigger ones people may bring their own wagons or carts, but I don't think it should be your responsibility to offer that to customers!
How do you fit all of your display items and inventory into your vehicle for events?
My husband is usually pretty good about Tetris-ing it all into two cars! 😂😂

I have my first market coming up in a month that I am SO nervous about. My biggest thing I can't really figure out is how much inventory to have available for a 5 hour show. Any recommendations on how much to bring? I have a decent amount prepped already and some old creations to try and sell but I just am still not sure how much more to keep making for this specific show. Thanks! Any other tips for my first market are appreciated.
I would set a sales goal that you want to achieve, than make the amount of inventory that would double that!
I have a 2 day market this weekend and I'm stressed out. I'm in panic that I don't have enough made, am I going to make back my booth rent, what will I do if I sell out because I have another large market in 2 weeks.... my brain needs to shutdown 😂

I made 15× booth rent, near sold out of everything. I am stress crocheting this week AND next for a 2 day market then its every 2 weeks until Thanksgiving. I am having a blast even though I'm stressed

I have a wooden head that my grandma used in the 30's & 40's to make hats and I sprayed it. It turned out great & made it feel more modern 😀
