What helps me in these anxiety filled situations is repeating to myself that I deserve to be there just as anyone else does. I’m not lesser than anyone else that’s there.
Thank you soo much for the behind-the-scenes of markets! I also crochet and starting an Etsy shop as well as selling at markets are some of my plans for the summer so it is great knowing the effort put into them beforehand. It is such a useful video for bc there are only a handful of people actually posting this stuff. I hope your business continues to thrive :)
Your setup's always so pretty!! This entire vlog was way too relatable as a fellow anxious-crocheting-introvert :,) . So excited to watch more of your vlogs and congrats on the successful market 🎉🫶
Yayyy! I couldn’t wait to watch this after seeing how cute your setup was on Insta! Your videos are so relaxing to watch while I work on schoolwork. I love your crochet creations!💛
@@madewithapril Aweee I love that :) It’s finals season, so all of my projects are kicking my butt, but it’s so nice to chill while you talk or work! Side note, you openly discussing your anxiety is so real and relatable. ☺️
Just in the first five mins … Awww I hope the start of the outdoor market leaves you less stressed. Everything is so cute. I hope you do well. Ok back to the vlog! 🌷🌸🌷🌸
Outside is soooo hard - I’ve never done it by myself to be honest - lucky to have my kids and my friends - you are sooooo amazing - I would totally be there early too and stressing 🎉🎉🎉 so happy for your success and not at all surprised - about time 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Hi I recently started to crochet and I'm planning to run my own small businesses on bouquets as well, is an inspiration for me to see your videos, keep it going, love your vids😊🎉
Thanks for showing us an inside look! 100% relatable and I've been considering this but couldn't picture it all in my head! I love your setup it's so cute! How did you make your sign?
I sort of had an idea for the display buckets to stop the flowers from looking so stem-y… I’m not sure if it would work perfectly, but you could put some small-ish jars or vases that are low enough to be hidden inside and use them to keep the flowers from flopping over! If the glass doesn’t fit- cardboard tubes cut to the right size would do it too I think! Anyway, love the rock scavenging. I do that all the time for my planters but it’s my own backyard 😁
Oh my gosh I love your set up I do vendors also and everything looks beautiful. What state are you in? Heck you going to have to teach me all the vendors had very nice things.
For windy days, double sided tape is a friend (with cloth ones). It will help with the bubbling on top. If you have some strong hair claws, clamp the table cloth to each leg of your table. It's a bit wonky looking, but it works.
Ahhh thank you, I appreciate it!! It's definitely hard to get started but that's the hardest part! It's fun but challenging - good luck if you decide to go for it!
For basket display, you could cut a piece of needle point canvas to sit in the top of the basket, and put the stems in the holes to fill in all the spaces and the flowers can be put in and out without messing it all up. Weight the bottom for extra stability. :)
Thank you for showing the bts of markets! I've been wanting to sign up for one but felt too intimidated and your videos help! I have a suggestion too! What if you did weights in the small flower pots that were also magnets and have your shelves have magnets on the bottom to minimize them falling over for markets?
I did initially but there are super similar ones online and I've basically just started using them instead! The ones I am using are by xiaohua on xiaohongshu!
Amazing! I just started markets myself and looking at your videos gives me so much inspo!! I just have to ask where you got those little frogs that are holding your chalk signs? they're just so darn cute!!!
(Okay, but where did you get those chicken lights, I need them in my life? 😂) This is why I'm probably never going to sell anything in a market. My anxiety would be through the roof. Also, in my area, crochet is kinda saturated? Everyone sells the same things, I swear. The only unique vendor I've seen sells giant plushies made of blanket yarn, and she's the only one who makes them far as I've seen. The other reason is that I don't seem to find any motivation to make multiples of the same thing to sell because I get bored easily 😅 So, I'm amazed and in awe of people like you who are able to have your shops and tables at the fairs. I wouldn't be able to. I'll just keep my crochet as an unmarketable hobby no matter how much my mother nags me about it.
What helps me in these anxiety filled situations is repeating to myself that I deserve to be there just as anyone else does. I’m not lesser than anyone else that’s there.
YOURE RIGHT 🩷🩷
This is pretty chaotic but soooo relatable haha my anxiety would have me doing the same 😂😂
LOL I was lowkey high key very panic HAHA
I love your honest look at market life. I'm a hardcore introvert and they're so overwhelming but so fun! Doing a Farmer's Market this weekend. 😬
It's a lot to take in but definitely worth it!! Good luck!

Hehe good good, I'm so glad to hear that!! Thank you and good luck!
Your visceral reaction to the bug in your car before realizing it was outside was 10000% relatable LOL. Glad you did so well at the market!!
LOL I was extra jumpy from the nerves haha thank you!! 🩷

Thank you!! The banner is just printed from vistaprint! I cut out the bottom edge of it with scissors for the scalloped look!
They're soo pretty🥺✨
Thank youu 💗
I've been binge watching all of your videos and i swear IM OBESESSEDDD your flowers are so cute! hoping i can do something like this too soon💗
Thank you!! Good luck!
So beautiful and unique! What if you crocheted a flower pillow to set in the middle of the baskets to hide the stems?
Idk about hiding the stems but crochet flower pillows is an amazing idea HAHA

Haha thank you! I will have to try it out - cardboard tubes is definitely something I haven't tried yet!!
Oh my gosh I love your set up I do vendors also and everything looks beautiful. What state are you in? Heck you going to have to teach me all the vendors had very nice things.
I'm actually in Canada! In Alberta!
For windy days, double sided tape is a friend (with cloth ones). It will help with the bubbling on top. If you have some strong hair claws, clamp the table cloth to each leg of your table. It's a bit wonky looking, but it works.
Omg the hair claws idea is so smart I'll definitely have to try that, thank you!!
Hope it goes ok hopefuly u dont die made me laugh 😅it must be exiety i can emagine myself like that when i do my first crochet market😂loved your video
Hahaha it was definitely nerve racking!! Thank you!!

I have a suggestion too! What if you did weights in the small flower pots that were also magnets and have your shelves have magnets on the bottom to minimize them falling over for markets?
Ouuu I'll have to see if I can find some cheap magnets to use!!
hello, i love your videos! what stitch do you use for the cactus? they are adorable !
To make the part that pops out, I do a double crochet under a stitch, I'll make a video about it soon, I don't know what it's called haha
Your potted flowers are so cute. Did you make your own pattern for these?
I did initially but there are super similar ones online and I've basically just started using them instead! The ones I am using are by xiaohua on xiaohongshu!
Omg I totally forgot wind is a thing for outdoor markets 😂 I’ll have to look into getting weights for my tablecloth too
Omg the weights actually saved me, I also should get tablecloths that aren't paper thin dollar store ones LOL the weights are from Amazon!!
Yayy!! So glad you did so well but feel so bad for you for your second day! And I completely forgot to send the light link so gotta do that 🙈
Thank you again for lending me the light!! 🤩💗
Amazing! I just started markets myself and looking at your videos gives me so much inspo!! I just have to ask where you got those little frogs that are holding your chalk signs? they're just so darn cute!!!
I got them at a local Japanese trinkets and gifts shop!
The panic is so relatable lmao
I'm constantly in panic mode before markets ✌️✌️
(Okay, but where did you get those chicken lights, I need them in my life? 😂)

Hahaha it's definitely something I didn't know I would be able to do until I tried it!
The way you say thank you is so sweet (^0^)
🫣🩷🩷 omg ty
I have anxiety too. I really hate it when someone says “don’t be so anxious!”
It really doesn't help :S
hi Tina you should make dandelions
Ouuu I'll make note of this these would be cute for the summer!!
Are you crocheting some plushes too?
How much do you sell each flower stem for?
Anywhere from $8+ depending n th3 design!
@@madewithapril that seems so cheap for the work you put in
Im about to do my first one. I got off my nerve pills and I am afraid I'm gonna have a panic attack
Take your time and take it easy!! The first one is the scariest one because you never know what to expect!

Please translate the video I speak Spanish 🙏
Sorry I don't know any Spanish but I'll see what I can do!
The first crochet booth u visited weren’t really talkative at all. Not really approachable
I think maybe they didn't expect me to buy anything since I introduced myself as a vendor, and especially as a crochet vendor haha ;;
