Chroma Console by Hologram Electronics - just showing how to use it and some sounds I liked. thank you to Hologram Electronics for sending me Chroma Console Get one here: www.hologramel...
I can't play a single instrument, but I am subscribed and totally amazed by the last twelve months of listening to the incredible sounds that you create Emily. Your music is beautiful, inciteful, and pure magic to listen to. The special people who have appeared and demonstrated their instruments and music are also very unique. Don't stop, music is one of our global languages. Much love and appreciation from an Aussie veteran.
For faster bankruptcy, start with JHS pedal first episode. Turn the YT speed up to 150% as you can eliminate the slight Alabama drawl and get through bankruptcy much faster” By the time you get to the Colorbox 2, you will have enough money to enjoy whats left while having enough left over for food and rent with a special monthly “kitty” to buy your favs from Emily.:)
The guitarists who demo these pedals always play horrible stuff through beautiful pedals, you always play beautiful stuff through beautiful pedals. I always check here first.
Of course they sent her one: it's free advertising for them. Companies can just use TH-camrs to shill a product without having to spend any money on marketing & advertising so they can make themselves more money while maybe the TH-camr gets a few views out of it.
@@i-never-look-at-replies-lol while the sentiment is correct in this case the demo video they released was already quite good by itself. giving it to youtubers *is* a great way to encourage impulse buys among a community already primed to purchase new and interesting gear
wow, I think Hologram really out did themselves here. I have the Microcosm and absolutely love it, but this seems much more use-able for a band setting where you want to switch through different core tones quickly and the flexibility of the effects (plus stereo + MIDI) is a really good value for players who don't want to lug around 10 or more effects pedals.
Some of the sounds you got from your harp running through this pedal were just pure musical bliss. They strongly remind me of some of my favorite bands.
the sound at 4:52 is the most beautiful thing i’ve ever heard in my life 🥲🥲🥲 totally obsessed with this thing, i adore the design and it just looks so fun to play with.
So glad yours is the first vid I’ve seen for this one!! What a great device, love the routing options, Hologram always bringing something rad. Amazing sounds, really loved the reverse section.
Super fun! Been watching you for a year now, seeing you hook up guitar pedals to a harp with pickups never gets old. And bonus, you use them so differently from how a guitar player would it that it is inspirational to me as a guitar player to go outside the small box we guitarists tend to live and create in. Thanks Emily.
Love it that while some companies still only do one trick, mono ponies and other do weird option-ities pedals with 20 dip-switches and unlabelled tertiary controls with a lot of menu-diving, Hologram does userfriendly, stereo pedals with multiple effects. This will replace my overdrive pedal (that is already rare, as it's stereo and has a mix knob that even the super expensive Acidbox III doesn't have). And you can never have enough reverbs or delays. Also a decent reverse mode is hard to find. 100% buying this.
Really good demo! I love the way you explain it, as if you’re talking to an actual person, not like overtly trying to sell it, super refreshing, huge fan!
I started playing the harp in May, and your videos have inspired me to run it through effects to make Lo-Fi Hip-Hop accompanied by Welsh poetry 😁 Thank you for being so inspiring, and please keep bringing joy to our lives!
Wow. Great breakdown of this new pedal. I don’t often get pedals - right now I just have a vintage RAT for distortion, Ditto 4 looper, and an Eventide H9 for multi effects. But damn, the Chroma sounds incredible. Love your reviews, and how you combine musical artistry and technological knowledge. Definitely saving up for a Chroma.
Hello Emily, I just discovered your channel, and I had to subscribe immediately. You have such a beautiful brain for creating all kinds of sonic goodness. I am very envious of your abilities for exploring combinations of effects to achieve something completely fresh. I come from the keyboard world, and I have always felt that a harp is exactly like playing a vertical piano, but with much more beauty and elegance. I completely love all the toys you have at your disposal to shape and mold whatever audio direction you wish to go. More jealous, I guess. I will keep my eyes and ears open to everything your beautiful brain shares to this world.
As a layman, sometimes I don't know how to identify differences in sound when you activate some of these gadgets. Half the time I don't know what these devices are or what they're supposed to do. One day I want to be a harpist, but I feel like just past that goal is this glass wall of audio tech and related jargon I have to break through before I can get adventurous with any music I create. You're already where I'd like to be, so I keep watching your videos to try learning what I can from you. Thanks for doing what you do, Emily. Lots of love. ♥
I don’t know why this pedal appeals to me so much because I already have tons of hi quality fx. Maybe it’s just a really appealing design and looks really easy to use and is a reasonable price?!
@@soacker25If you think a Zoom CDR can do all of this, you’re mistaken. 4 fx at the same time, in any order, with a looper, and recording of knob movements? No, it simply can’t.
@@Qwitsoender youre right, the looper function is missing. But thats the one feature people use the least by far. With zoom you can have uo to 6 fx in a row in any imaginable order. There are over 130fx compared to holograms 20fx und you even have more than twice the parameter to edit....
Am I the only one that feel enamored by these pedals design? The colors, the setup, the lines, the form, everything is so nice about these pedals, even the most "bland" get me a feeling. It's... like food. Great food is for sight and for taste. Great pedals are for sight and for listening.
Wow, wonderful review! As a bassist I wish I had a full reason/excuse to use all the sounds. Cheers and thank you for showing us the very interesting pedal and some wonderful playing.
I use a reamp box and and run most of my vsts and my drum bus through it. I then go in into a di and through the analog heat back into my interface and the depth and presence I get is just game changing for me.
Emily! Do you know how many guitar players have thrown away their beautiful vintage Les Pauls and road travelled Fenders because they can't make the sounds you can with the same pedals. Harp sales are through the roof and I hear Metallica will be touring in the spring with a chorus of six heavily fuzzed harps... This pedal looks intuitive with a great interface design....
I agree, but it also the first video by anyone, other than the original release vid. That said, Emily, you set a very high bar, and everyone else is going to have to bring their best if they want to top this. ;)
It's curious how Hologram pedals seem to fit very well together with the harp and your style ❤ 3:01 sounds sooooo good As always your way of explaining really triggers the temptation to just go and get one xD
Thanks a lot for the demonstration. Working for my channel already with the hologram. High quality. This one seems to work a bit differently... But very nice 👍....thinking about ordering it. Many regards from Chris Bunch of flowers music
SWEET! A little bit out of my budget. I have to try less expensive pedals. I just saw a review of a pedal on Temu called a Mini Universe by M Vave it's like $40.00 and from what I saw it has some trippy effects and for the price I had to order one. I'll know better when I get it how good or bad it is. I hope to see you do more vids on budget pedals, I think with all the ones you have you could really give us an idea on if they are worth it or not.
That was sick, You are a badass and the way you demoed this makes we want to put on my next thing to buy list. Those sounds, I think it's you and the harp, but I hope I can get some cool vibes and tones out of my guitar with this pedal, but I think that harp so amazing. I could listen that all day.
i swear you and random tf2 junk is the only stuff i watch nowadays. i love your content its really interesting and i don't think i've seen anything like this anywhere else! thanks for being cool :]
It doesn't seem as perfect of a fit for me personally as the Microcosm, but it still seems like a must have. Now I just have to figure out which organ to sell this time.
Absolutely amazing demo. It's an effect that I really like the idea of but will probably never try or buy....but I would listen to an entire double album of Emily Harpist playing only with that!
This seems like a winner. Good value, tons of options. I could see someone turning to this for pretty much any instrument.
If you want good value buy zoom cdr instead

Ordered mine right away. It’s gonna be insane with the microcosm.
This pedal seems great, but above all, your musicianship is on such an amazing level. Truly inspiring.
This seems like a perfect pedal to have permanently set up with I/O of your audio interface for outboard routing.

Love the reverse stuff. Your playing was awesome in this video, as always.
That reverb functioned extremely well to create space without having too much character like most reverbs do (too specific)
gotta love that multieffects become more and more pedalboards in a box, instead of a choice of single effects
