gotta love that multieffects become more and more pedalboards in a box, instead of a choice of single effects

Yup, I see this as my spice packet. The interface is so perfect as it can be as easy or deep as you need. Deep pedals can be tricky live 😮😊

Of course they sent her one: it's free advertising for them. Companies can just use TH-camrs to shill a product without having to spend any money on marketing & advertising so they can make themselves more money while maybe the TH-camr gets a few views out of it.

Turn the YT speed up to 150% as you can eliminate the slight Alabama drawl and get through bankruptcy much faster” By the time you get to the Colorbox 2, you will have enough money to enjoy whats left while having enough left over for food and rent with a special monthly “kitty” to buy your favs from Emily.:)

Your music is beautiful, inciteful, and pure magic to listen to. The special people who have appeared and demonstrated their instruments and music are also very unique. Couldn't agree more, mate. Except ... it's time for you to learn to play ... anything. The ability to listen with humility is the only prerequisite, and you've got that. I say this as a late starter meself. Buy a simple instrument like a guitar. Don't buy any pedals LOL.

wow, I think Hologram really out did themselves here. I have the Microcosm and absolutely love it, but this seems much more use-able for a band setting where you want to switch through different core tones quickly and the flexibility of the effects (plus stereo + MIDI) is a really good value for players who don't want to lug around 10 or more effects pedals.

    • @shquankinket8068

Love it that while some companies still only do one trick, mono ponies and other do weird option-ities pedals with 20 dip-switches and unlabelled tertiary controls with a lot of menu-diving, Hologram does userfriendly, stereo pedals with multiple effects. This will replace my overdrive pedal (that is already rare, as it's stereo and has a mix knob that even the super expensive Acidbox III doesn't have). And you can never have enough reverbs or delays. Also a decent reverse mode is hard to find. 100% buying this.

As a layman, sometimes I don't know how to identify differences in sound when you activate some of these gadgets. Half the time I don't know what these devices are or what they're supposed to do.
One day I want to be a harpist, but I feel like just past that goal is this glass wall of audio tech and related jargon I have to break through before I can get adventurous with any music I create. You're already where I'd like to be, so I keep watching your videos to try learning what I can from you.
Thanks for doing what you do, Emily. Lots of love. ♥

@@AceGarpTruckingCo that's what i'm trying to do too, but the sound quality is degraded. however when i plug in the output of my synth, it works perfectly. another problem: i'm on fl studio and i can't get just the wet, there's still some dry. if you're on this software, what's your routing please?

    • @AceGarpTruckingCo
      @AceGarpTruckingCo 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@JujuKidzZzGaming I'm on Ableton, but my routing is: send whatever I want processed via Ext Out at the end of the track, then have a second audio track with Ext. In from the 9/10 Chroma Console inputs. In other words, I'm using it as an insert with the Mix knob at 100%. I'm not using it as send/return. I think it works better this way. I don't think it's designed to be used as Send/Return, as there are usually timing artefacts when mixing with the dry.
Also: don't forget to use the Chroma input calibration - hold down both footswitches on the Chroma to send the lights purple, then play into it - when you change sources. Chroma needs to apply more gain to guitars and the like whereas synth line outs will be a lot hotter - just let it work out its own levels.

Hello Emily, I just discovered your channel, and I had to subscribe immediately. You have such a beautiful brain for creating all kinds of sonic goodness. I am very envious of your abilities for exploring combinations of effects to achieve something completely fresh. I come from the keyboard world, and I have always felt that a harp is exactly like playing a vertical piano, but with much more beauty and elegance. I completely love all the toys you have at your disposal to shape and mold whatever audio direction you wish to go. More jealous, I guess.
I will keep my eyes and ears open to everything your beautiful brain shares to this world.

I agree, but it also the first video by anyone, other than the original release vid. That said, Emily, you set a very high bar, and everyone else is going to have to bring their best if they want to top this. ;)

It's different. The design and sounds are unique. The way they made 5 effects share the same two adjustment knobs is pretty brilliant and works well. The knobs have a secondary mode, so it's really like having 4 knobs. I don't think of Chroma Console as just another multi effects pedal that I can just put on my board, It's very much its own thing. It seemed odd at first that I could only load a single effect with the foot switch. It's made for presets. The four LEDs in the middle are the screen, and you read colors rather than text. You scroll left and right through the LED bars with the foot switches. It's basically 3 layers of color-coded storage. Each of the 4 effect modules has an associated color, and each represents a group of presets. Presets can be created and stored to combine up to 4 simultaneous effects. Each group has 5 storage banks (each a different color) with 4 storage slots in each, and each hold a single preset. The first LED is slot one, second LED is slot 2, etc. So, it's a bit to get used to, but once you do, it's quite efficient. You can use the foot switches to instantly jump to the neighboring LED on either side of the current one. So, it works well if you have a few presets loaded for a specific song. However, sometimes I like to just turn different effects on and off in various combinations when I play, and the Chroma Console can't really do that without pushing buttons and/or turning knobs with your hand. So, while some have said it can replace your whole board, I'd say it depends on how you want to use your effects. I'm used to turning different pedals on and off with my foot and combining them on the fly as i play. I arrive at all my sounds that way. So, I still need my board. The Chroma Console is my second board. It's more for things that are planned out. You don't have the ability to just randomly run through its effects in various combinations as you play. So that's different for me, and a bit of a bummer. But hey, we can't have it all. It would be really cool though if someone would design a multi effects pedal specifically for improvisors.

Amazing video, I had just seen a video about this pedal on another channel and I immediately wondered how it would sound on a harp, so glad to see this video ❤

Thanks a lot for the demonstration. Working for my channel already with the hologram. High quality. This one seems to work a bit differently... But very nice 👍....thinking about ordering it.

Great vid. Convinced me to buy one, I use it equally for my Moog and also when I run my Flamenco Guitar through amplification. Cheers Emily. 👍

Great Demo and great Pedal. I like the use of green screen to show the pedal and your playing side by side.
