I have literally been wondering what this sound was since I heard Punisher three years ago and the moment you started playing it fit in like a puzzle piece; love that there's so many different flavors of degradation as an effect in the world now and they're all distinct. As someone who continually falls in and out of love with reverb, having an amazing reverb stowed away on one knob as part of a much more complex effect gets rid of the mental block of "ugh, reverb again?" and instead start interpreting space as part of a larger musical sentence, like how grimace-themed accessories are just part of a larger nightmare footwear sentence. Anywho, the fake koto tone and the fake horns are full of nostalgia, really great demo tracks, nice seeing you expand your palette of sounds in each video, take care and happy thanksgiving. 🦃

Born in 2004, this is a dream come true. Brings back the memories of listening to low quality metalcore song uploads on youtube, the website thing was accurate too. The koto thing is cool, reminds me of the band Hiroshima. Ps. That second jam was awesome, I'd love that as it's own thing. The drums and harp thing was awesome too, kinda reminds me of The Helio Sequence.

Having been born in the 70's I can appreciate the tape style degradation effects, but the data loss sound of low bit rate MP3's and crappy RealAudio streams is not something I remember fondly. However, I appreciate the creativity with this one and can see this being used in interesting ways. (I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little bit tempted).
I'm in the same boat. I don't want to be a hater online, but... I'm so happy we solved this technological problem. I'm probably just the wrong age. Like you, I assume some clever artists can put this to good use, and I appreciate the work put in by CB & Goodhertz, but... I guess there's a world full of pedals for all kinds of people.
This reminds me of when a food cart becomes a bricks and mortar restaurant. Full circle, meta, unsure...but now we are looping VST into reality so I have really no clear idea yet what to call it or what the phenomena even is.
Been playing guitar for over 30 years. The harp is a tougher instrument.. I tried and failed at it. I did combine harp technique with guitar arpeggios though.. Love the comedy and the experiments on the harp/effects you do. Awesome!!

I don't get it ... this pedal does exactly the same as the Chase Bliss Generation Loss, that just received an MK2 upgrade only a few months ago. Does it??? 😵💫
not really. or rather, only in the sense that both effects involve the degradation of your signal in a nostalgia-inspired way. this pedal focuses on digital artifacts and glitchy ambience whereas gen loss primarily involves pitch warbles, tape saturation and tone loss. certainly they both appeal to the same demographic, but for fairly different purposes.
