At the start of the trailer, each slugcat has their own shelter, however at the end of the trailer, Rivulet is the only one left. This trailer really sparks light on how cruel rain world can be

Be careful guys, apparently there have been reports of players losing their saves after getting the dlc. If it's possible to backup save files on your console, i suggest doing so before trying the dlc. Or you might have to wait till it gets patched.

I ended up losing my pet grapple worm, but since i would've had to finish bringing him through shoreline alive i'm a bit relieved that i can go through smoothly without worrying about him drowning

Here is my PS4 downpour experience so far: when I opened the game, I was greeted with an awkward silence and a lack of saves. Some of the music and ambience is quite bugged. However, I tried messing with the volume settings and it partially fixed some of the sound. Aside from the bugs, the game actually seems to perform a lot better. I haven't tried the other modes, so I can't really say anything yet about their state. I hope this comment was useful!
I bumped the music volume Up and I still don't have music including sound for the cutscenes.
Saves are also gone. Playing on ps5.
I was collecting all the lore pearls on my second save, I had like 12-14 of them!
Same, I wanted to play the ps5 version but I have no saves there, so I stayed on the ps4 one.
But the sounds are quite glitched... and that sucks since (in my opinion) rainworld music/ambience sounds are a big part of the game

I don’t even play this game on console, but downpour console release means they can focus on updating the game more (as I’m pretty sure they want to) so it’s a win/win!

The switch performance on day 1 has left a little bit to be desired, there were also definitely many bugs left to be crushed, but zero crashes! I'll take that.

Absolutely, I has a bunch of crashes but.. I think that was due to a glitch and me getting it early weather to timezones or a glitch. I got everything in downpour early, many more crashes ( especially in safari mode. Many safari mode glitches, if I tried to enter another room as a scav it would crash.) but other than that, playing as slugcats was a good experience! No bugs, but there were crashes in jolly coop. Very buggy but overall doesn't affect the experience much

how did y’all get rain world downpour? It’s not in the PlayStation store for me :(
So. Couple of bugs. If you go in Safari mode and try to go to another room with a creature, the game crashes, and sometimes, the game crashes when you try to play challenge mode, it crashes. Also, certain things (like Rivulet’s drainage system Safari map) just freeze the game. I’m on the Nintendo Switch, so I don’t know if it happens on other consoles.
Edit: I forgot to say, the expedition mode just doesn’t work. It freezes the game if you just select it. Done it many times on accident and it always happens.

I’ve seen some comments about ps5 saves just being deleted and music not working (I’m on switch so I’m not 100% sure if this is for everyone) safari mode has been crashing for me aswell

Saint is in the future, so far in the future that its snowing and not raining, and you need heat, like no direct contact to the snow, a lantern or two, or anything that is bright to live, Five Pebbles is destroyed, Moon is idk. Hell, in sky islands (where you start) going to Five Pebbsi, where he usually is, its just GONE. nothing is there, just a cliff. Saint has a long tongue that they can use to gain height, parkour, get away from ground-based enemies, but mostly parkour. Saint must ascend to max karma then theyll get powers and have to kill (ascend) everything that moves, all the iterators agree that Saint can solve something called the Great Problem, which the ancients made the iterators for to mine void fluid and to think of ways to solve the great problem. then the ancients went missing and the iterators had to solve the great problem for themselves. Until one day, Sliver of Straw sent the Triple Affirmative and suddenly died. All iterators were trying to replicate the solution to the Great Problem, but couldn't. They ultimately just gave up and stopped. A very long time goes around and Saint is the new Triple Affirmative, as long as they dont die. Saint also has can fly and looks cool in the ascention mode, but is on a timer and cant stay in that mode for long. Theres a new lizard exclusive to only Saint called the Strawberry/Zoop Lizard, which can extend its tongue and grapple onto things, much like Saint, except not vegan. It eats mainly batflies and is pretty much prey to all lizards. Saint has to ascend all the iterators it comes to, like Pebbles and Moon. Sadly there is no more Iterators like Seven Red Suns or Twisting Roads. Instead of deadly rain to accompany you, its Blizzards, which gradually kill you the longer youre not in a shelter, with extra heat slowing your death down. Currently the only other Slugcat who can experience snow is Rivulet, at the end of their compaign after a fully Rot-Infested Pebbles sacrifices his Rarefaction Cell for Moon so she can live and become operational like he was, and after Rivulet does that, it starts snowing because of Moon's operational status (presumably) and low altitude. Rivulet will then experience snow for the rest of their campaign.

bright things dont warm you, the reason the lanterns do is because in saint's time scavs have added something inside of the lanterns to make them warmer (source: moon's dialogue when you give her a lantern), also contact with the snow is not as bad as you make it out to be.
Moon is still alive in saint's time and thriving
Sky islands is not the region where you can see that pebbles has collapsed, that's chimney canopy
ascending doesn't kill a creature, it helps them escape the cycle
also you dont have to ascend everything, its optional
literally nobody said that saint is able to solve the great problem (even though he technically can) and the devs have said that challenge 70 is not canon and that saint is not the triple affirmative
the ancients didn't "go missing" they ascended themselves by taking an acid bath in the void fluid
saint doesn't "have to" ascend the iterators, though it is a good thing to do
rivulet will not experience snow for the rest of the campaign after inputting the rarefaction cell, he will instead be sent to the "Bitter Aerie" subregion of Submerged Superstructure, where snow is natural. If you visit the other regions you will find no snow, but in fact a longer rain cycle
and the last fact you got wrong is that you're not the downpour demon

great dlc, but there are still some bugs and missing features. The worst problems were missing sound queues and corrupted save files. Also safari is broken on ps4
My theory is that they prioritized the hype and release date over fixing the problems. Hope they fix these things with future patches.
Safari's also broken on the nintendo switch, it crashes very often and when you go to a different room as a creature BOOM! a crash, the devs rlly need to fix this ongoing issue.
Well it's still highly polish game unlike other games but they do need some patches and it like the songs Safari mode and I had to replay PS5 version all over again I do not want to do that why can't I just use my old save file from the PS4 version I just decided to go back to the old version it's cuz it still has it

Im glad to see Downpour in consoles after so long. But theres a problem all my progress (except advencements) is gone.
All my arena unlocks are gone. I had communication mark and was on my way to Moon but it is gone now. I was too close to ascending as survivor and yes, it is also gone. I mean its too late to fix this I suppose because lots of people already bought Downpour like me and I think they are experiencing same problem too. Well thats it.
Also the coop mode seems to be broken for some ppl, don't know if it's a switch only issue, but it's dissepointing either way.

If you use any shelter in Pipeyard with a pup, the pup will despawn, and if you're very lucky like I, have a chance of respawning elsewhere in Pipeyard untamed. Do not go to Pipeyard with a pup until they patch it.

I spawn in 7 creatures in the arena or play artificers campaign and the frame rate drops so much
I know it probably will not happen as for consoles, but I hope some of the steam workshop mods get ported to this version, as for the remix tab

First of all I apologize for the bad English, it is not my native language but I really needed to leave this comment
I pre-ordered the switch version and it's completely broken, not only did I delete my original game but most of the game modes don't work, by mistake I pressed the button to remove a player in arena mode and it won't let me activate it again, the mode Safari gives an error every 30 seconds after starting it, when I try to customize the colors of the character the menu goes crazy, I have read comments from people who have problems similar to mine, I hope they fix this in an update, as soon as possible.
Honestly rivulet deserves that nap, I love the rivulet. But the only problem I have with the switch downpour is that it doesn’t keep your saves otherwise the game is really good!

I am so sad, the Nintendo switch release as been nothing but disapointement. You can’t play arena mode, safari mode is completely busted and jolly coop while working correctly to an extend is also super buggy. I really hope they fix this.
Safari mode kinda works for me but I can only stay in one area or it crashes and arena wont let me play as player one
The arena bug is what’s most annoying to me, but by login in whit a different account that problem fixed it self ( the thing about player 1 not being able to get in ).

Hello, I play on switch, for some reason whenI deactivated the slugcats in sandbox and competitive mode I can’t switch them on again (Mind this is for the white one and the yellow when has it that when you play with two players you can’t deactivate the yellow one), What should I do?

Also there was spearmaster, night cat, and forsaken cat just talking and spearmaster was arguing with night cat in the end.
I got it a day early for some reason, was it timezones, who knows, but I got everything a day early, new slugcats, jolly coop, safari mode, everything a day early for some reason. Not sure if it was a glitch or timezones, but I woke up to my switch saying " dlc downloaded", so I'm not sure.

No, many other people have this problem. I dont think there is a way to get the save data back. Now we can only wait for a bug fixing patch :((
