    I think the coolest thing about this video is looking back on Alan's struggles and success. In some of his recent videos he talked about some of the financial struggles he went through in the past few years and how he's just now really doing well. Amazing how big this probably was for him when his gym started getting this type of attention, and guys like Mark Bell and Omar Isuf coming out to train, teach, and make content at Untamed Strength. Alan = the GOAT and is truly inspirational. #AmericanDream

    13:20 really good instruction: make your lats so tight you cant get tickled in the armpit. and lemme tell you about my weird situation from Shitthatneverhappensland, wich only happens if you re taught to hold back tourette's tics. i now understand the upperback a lot better. in the deadlift i always teached about the fishingrod effect but i failed to get a deeper understanding of it. but only i happen to have posterior pelvic tilt (anterior is more common), combine that with weak deep cervical flexors and that all with a big bulge on the top of my abs, i couldnt figure it out for years; years i say!!! recently i discovered that i have postpelvtilt and weak deep cervical flexors. everyone has them tightened so every youtube video was about that.. but now i understand so lets ramble about the fishingrod: as the load transfers from the lats to the trapezius, you see the upperback rounding and when locking out you need to use your deep flexors for retracting the shoulders and driving your head back.

    The big chest cue causes some to lose core tightness...of course, you can always cue core tightness afterward. Regarding training the squat for more inexperienced lifters.

    Concerning the protection I thought that Andrey said that he would try to avoid a belt or any other accessoires. So I follow this rule since then trying not to use a belt up to 70-80% of my max to strengthen the core more. Does that make sense?

    • @canererbay8842
      @canererbay8842 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      70-80% sounds a little too light to switch to using a belt imo.

  • @JoshDG92
    @JoshDG92 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    you say you had silent mike deadlifting in a different form than the default form his body naturally goes to during a deadlift.. so when he did the 705lb deadlift he reverted back to his default form, would it not be safer for him to deadlift in his default form ( albeit, that it is a safe ) above a specific weight percent like 70-80%? making form changes at 90%+ is an easy way to get injured, this might utilise his body's natural strongest position. But I'm no way near as experienced as you guys, what do you think ?
