I’ll definitely have to experiment with a take on that appetizer dish. It was avocado (mild) & corn (sweet) something with tomatillos which was the tart part of the flavor The brioche eaten as small bites with the foi Gras would have been delicious. That pastrami crust would have been delicious eaten this way. Chateauneuf de pape is one of my favorite wines. It holds many good memories for me. People, places, and things. ;)) It goes on my list for this thanksgiving. P.s. that swirled dessert cake was matcha. I don’t care for that flavor either, though it certainly has fans who drink it daily. Thanks for a great tour!
Your description and reviews of the meals you have in your videos are by far the best of any food reviewer on TH-cam. Seen a lot of reviewers that say the same generic words when describing their food like “tender” or “creamy” in almost everything they eat
I thought part one was cool but this video seals it for me. This place is tremendous! All the little free things are a nice touch. I might take my wife there for her birthday in December
He doesn't know any better. You're talking to a guy who reviews Pastrami sandwiches. 3 Michelin Star restaurants is definitely not his forte. I personally think he should stick to the former. That's what the majority of the viewers come here for. All the corny jokes and analogies are fitting for sandwiches, pizzas, and burgers. When you make jokes at an award winning establishment, it just shows a sign of immaturity.
My wife and I had a foie gras course at The French Laundry. As I was reaching for my second piece of brioche, a waiter swooped in and swapped out the basket for a new one like Zorro. He said "The brioche must be warm." ***
It's funny how they bring out complimentary sides..to make you think your getting free stuff for how much the dinner cost and their hopes to make you think your getting your money's worth...lol
Right? I think he should just stick to reviewing Pastrami sandwiches, pizza, burgers, etc. Fine Dining is not his forte. All the corny jokes and analogies isn't helping the review of this place or other award winning establishments.
Really though, why do you squint so hard after taking a bite cuz any waiters or chefs around you will immediately be offended and think you hate it. Like I get it that’s what your face does but you can’t control looking disgusted? Genuinely asking
@@vchild I mean, if you paid attention maybe you could 🤷🏼♀️ I used to frow my eyebrows but I stopped years ago once I made an effort to pay attention to when I would do it cuz I was scared I’d get a wrinkle there lol
UA change your face expressions when you like something. Confuse me at the beginning when you squint so hard it makes it look like you hate the food. Stop squinting
Once again, if you are going to critique a restaurant you owe it to them to at least have a basic understanding of what you are eating. Clearly you dont. Among other things you take a spoonful of caviar and claim to not know wwhat it is ? How is that possible?
UA should keep to reviewing Hamburger joints... pastrami sandwiches... pizza... etc. Leave the high end dining to people like James Andrews... who just recently reviewed Delmonico's. UA also reviewed Delmonico's, but James Andrew did a much better job. For example, he did a voice over during his review and didn't talk into the camera while eating like UA does.
@@alfredm99When he chowed down the foie gras (smacking loudly) in two bites, I actually thought he had devoured the two hotdogs in the previous video with the same speed and "appreciation". But it is disappointing when someone refuses to prepare and learn a little as they go along. Glad you decided to share these clips with us, very enjoyable.
Hold the wine glass by the stem. Otherwise, your hand will warm the wine itself.
can u actually taste the difference?
Hold the wine glass by the stem! Nice additions!
Yeah, it’s not a brandy snifter. 😅
9:37 haha a quick cameo.
doesnt seem very professional or befitting of a 3 star restaurant
@@josephhall1049 bringing your camera and recording yourself eat a 3 star restaurant isn't either, who cares

Like your videos and your honesty about restaurants always will watch them thank you😂
Another great one, UA. Looking forward to your next review
Thanks for part 2 👍 Appreciate your honest thoughts on the food

@@frettyfrets3373 Funniest face ever. If he doesnt do it you know its not that good or he doesnt like it.

Wait UA, are you saying the 35$ chocolate is better than any Reese’s you’ve had? 😂😂 love the content. Keep it up!
Great video
The foie gras was meant to be eaten with the brioche. That’s why they were brought out together.
@alfredm99 Yes, exactly! I was about to make the same comment.

Very true stick to cheap joints you know nothing about fine dining anyway

UA, will you be going to *JINYA Ramen Bar* - Totowa, NJ? It's not far from you.
Good idea. Deleted scenes. ❤
Look I like UA, but legitimately, why does he not know how to carry himself in fine dining?
Right? I think he should just stick to reviewing Pastrami sandwiches, pizza, burgers, etc. Fine Dining is not his forte. All the corny jokes and analogies isn't helping the review of this place or other award winning establishments.
Because he has never been or been taught itn
Agreed, he should steer clear of fine dining so he’s not out offending every chef he visits
He carries himself absolutely perfectly. Not sure exactly what he's doing wrong
@@misterzero8667 ok nor was I, I grew up on a farm and never had the experiences of fine dining growing up, but most of it is self-evidentiary.
Nothing wrong with Franzia it's a really decent box wine! 😂
Have you thought about getting a tripod so you can use both hands?
I wish it wasn't so costly. Because I'd have a ball trying out each & every plate.
Nice 👍
For the price you paid, the waiter shouldn’t be saying that anything is complimentary.

When I went to French Laundry, the server used tongs to hand out the bon-bons at the end. This server used his fingers (no gloves)!
Pretentious BS
No, I believe the server used a rubber contraption to pick up the chocolate bonbons during the dessert course.
