I’m flying HDZero, have a dji v2 and 03 but haven’t used it yet, so just to be clear break ground connection with switch and good to go. I’ve been using an external cellphone battery. A switch is the way to go. I have a dolphin in the box. Two t motor pro 90s low kv ones. Don’t have a 3D printer so I guess find someone on eBay and send all the info to print everything or ? Great flights great information.
how much real world performance optimization do you think you could make by minmaxxing the profile of all the 3dprinted stuff and stuff that is boking out (under the motor mounts, removing skids different o3 setup, carbon less angled horizontal stabs) like rotor flex style
I don't know? I really enjoy printing all these parts and making stuff for these planes. The top speed battle was fun but it got old quick. I need my planes to be durable and can take abuse plus I street land my planes all the time. I fly in town, parking lots and all kinds of crazy places. I think all the aero stuff would only be worth 10-15 mph extra.
I don't show my altitude on my video anymore. I'm not trying to get harassed by the Trolls. As far as my OSD, it's just a graphic overlay I designed in Adobe Illustrater.
You can do that with this setup. I have many features turned off such as altitude, but you can enable tons of other elements and change units of measurement such as KPH or MPH as an example.
I think your battery is a big bottleneck for your setup. Ive build a few wings. I run one 2808 engine at 50 amps with 4S pack 8X4.5 prop. Ive tried several Li ion battery myself (molicel, sony, samsung). LiPo is a must
You're absolutely right. But for this build, I wanted a plane that had good torque and efficiency and long flight times. A 5000 mah lipo battery would weigh a lot more, and then the plane gets sluggish.
Nice job Jeff. It fly very well.
Thank you!
Great flying footage
Thanks 👍
I would definitely land it LOS and in the (soft) grass next to the road.
I suck at flying LOS. I have only been flying planes for 2 years and all of it has been FPV.

Yes break ground connection. I don't print stuff to sell yet. If I get a Bambo printer then maybe.
Thanks for the project, I'm doing the same. Where is the center of gravity?
I used the factory c.g. marks and that worked perfectly.
thanck for the share
your welcome
Hi JeffI was worried about you since you hadn't uploaded a video in so long. I expected the third part for VTOL..
It's coming. I take a break from TH-cam and social media stuff in the summer. I'm too busy boating/ camping and living the life.

Excellent mods. What are you using to display the speed in your goggles? Any idea if they have something similar for altitude and speed?

@@JeffDoesThis Bummer. We are looking for a FPV solution that shows the current speed and altitude in the goggles.

Those 50s sag so much. You need the new Molicel p50b. They sag like a lipo.
That's what is in my Upgrade Energy Red series 4500 4s Li-Ion.
what spec is the On/Off rocker-switch, please?
It doesn't matter now - I worked it out myself.
It's just a simple rocker switch - amzn.to/47ze1fi
scusa ma per vtlo non finisci con il terso video?
