Happy Landings! Fly outside the box. 📦✈
My favorite day of the week has finally come! 😁
Twisted hobby’s kits are the absolute bomb. Yea they’re expensive and you can scratch build one or buy some other brand cheaper. Been there, done that. but dude. It’s so worth it. The crack yak lite flies like a dream. I purpose-designed and scratch built my own foamy to fly just like that back in the day but I spent many hours doing it. When I flew the crack yak lite and realized it flew just the way I wanted with 1/3 of the build time I was hooked.
West Michigan park flyers are pretty awesome too. Though slightly less refined in the build and fitment category, their yak 55 flies killer. And it still builds straight pretty dang easy.
Preaching to the choir. 😁
when is the new upload?

*Flex Innovations:* you see that literal cargo plane? Bet that’d make a great Edge 540 replacement
"Nose over a Twimber"😆
Another excellent video! I am triggered by your remarks on GeeBees! You are wrong wrong wrong! Lol ;) ... I can't wait for the next video. Thanks for the awesome content, keep up the great work.
Yes it is
Classic content! I typically build my own Flite Test kits, and buy other kinds of planes 2nd hand. I prefer foam because I know how to repair it. I do have a covering iron, but I've never built a balsa plane, so I don't have all the other tools.
these two videos really go together well, great choice. And as for planes with big tails and big feet, check out the XB-36.
This man is the prophet of rc jesus
Wait a minute,, the Bushmaster is you favorite plane,, hell yeah mine to
Do you remember johnnie casburn rc airplanes. I worked there and loved it.
Can’t wait for Saturdays now
Same here!🛫
I think that the og funcub is the beast of the planes .love you guys ❤
All new pilots need to watch this channel, it’s one of the few that give it to you straight.
Not sure about "straight" but definitely benefits from a large stabilizer surface. ;)
Terribly arrogant and lacking personality...
These videos are awesome and makes me always want to get more RC planes! Love your vids!

if I miss a single tail heavy video I will bleed from every orifice in my face and die.
😬
I don't fly rc and i am not a pilot. These videos have made me learn so much about both. I am an aviation enthusiast and enjoy flight simulators. This channel has made me understand plane physics, anatomy and geometry so well. Love it! Thanks!
Most pilots at the airfields cant fly rc either... save yourself a lot of time and money. Get a simulator on your computer and practice with that.
I promise it will save you lots..
RC flight simulator...
Seen the opening, & thot y'all was gonna say the twimber!
Hahahaha!
Thank you for responding to the arrows Bigfoot comment and this video will help me with my question
Mach Jesus just hit so hard😂
Triggered from the implied overweight Hangar 9 cub. Still have mine, and that thing loves to glide!
Great video. Can I get more details on the white Fun Cub you were hovering? That looks right up my ally
Check out our video titled, "Unapologetic FunCub SHILLING".
I have a “cheap” corsair but it flyes good
I’ve been flying for two years
I❤❤❤❤Katana's can't get enough of em.
(aggressively begins taking notes for custom RC design)
I have defntly learnd a feaw things from this video ...thanks guys
amazing as always! the opposite of last weeks video is so funny 😂😂
I always laugh at your amazing videos.. this one broke a record 😂10 seconds in I was ROLLING 😂 You guys make Saturdays that much better 🙌
Twimber is a bit heavy, but it's great on floats
I would add another one: The airplane flies well, regardless of battery placement. You can see this with many great airplanes such as the FunCub or Timber!
They said that comes from a long tail. 4:19
Or from a battery bay that biases nose heavy regardless of placement
I'm currently building a balsa wood scuffed replica of the Murphy moose.... Sadly components are expensive so it's just a very expensive model lol
Thanks for the nice video again! Is that telemaster one from the old days, where is was original a gas one? I am building one which was from my dad but he never finished it like 20 years ago. The problem is it was original a gas one and I want to make it electric, like in the video, what parts would u guys prefer me to get? (I think the wingspan is like 1.8m)
The dog clip is the best!!!!

Now I wanna buy a new plane…

@@ClassicFIHD yeah, but doing anything with my dad is like doing homework with my dad, but i still enjoy spending time with him
@@GT0_ Mine was a little rough to get along with, but we enjoyed the hobby together.
I look forward to a new Tail Heavy video every week, and they never disappoint. Nobody combines yuks with aviation theory and honest reviews like the TH team. One question: Who makes the Ki-61Hein warbird that keeps popping up in your videos?
“This channel is pee pee” is going to be my go-to comment from now on 😂 (this channel is in fact the farthest thing from pee pee, for the record I will be engaging in satire).
When wing loading gets too low they don’t glide at all which isn’t fun.
There is more to flying toys than just aerobatics.
There sure is! Not sure where we implied otherwise.
I lived long enough to see a C-74 Globemaster show up in a THP video!!
Nice one guys. Thanks.
Great video good info 😊✈🛩🛫🛬🛩✈🪂👍👍👍
My father is parting with balsa planes he built years ago and never flew. I'm hoping you'd be interested in visiting Skagit County to purchase at a fair deal to you - potential content for this fantastic channel? I helped him ebay 30 kits that went very well. Eight planes left, hanging in garage..
Thanks for thinking of us! We are not in the PNW, however. I do know a great group of kids that fly at the Marymoor R/C Club in Redmond that I could connect you with. They'd love them I bet! Feel free to reach out to us via our contact form on our website and our channel. 👍
I live in the Skagit Valley and would love to see what your dad has. Hit me up
I thought you flew at Marymoore! I sent a message via the website link..
@@user-oy1jb1zr6g Both Ben and I grew up in Seattle flying at Marymoor. We recently moved to New England a couple years back. Thank you! It would mean a lot to the kids. 🙂-Zach
OH the pain, the pain!!! 😂😂
Loved your bad airplane video. I wish it was out before I bought that horrid FliteTest Freedom Fox... you know... the one that Trent gushed over... and turned out to be the worse rc plane I've ever had. No debbie downer thoughts here... just gratitude.
Thanks for the great video!
Thanks for the Big Altima Energy reference!
Oh great god of rc mr tailheavy... How do i find the center of gravity on an F3H demon... There's none on the blueprints.. i looked everywhere!!!
Eh, try the first 1/3 of the wing, rather have nose heavy
Thanks tail heavy 👍
As always a very enjoyable video!
I’m Ryan and I need your help. My dream when I was younger was to fly Rc airliners but I could never afford it. Now I’m 15 and I’m saving up for the al37 from motion Rc. I asked another TH-camr jays Rc garage if I should get it and he said I should get one more plane that had retracts and flaps before I dive into airliners. I previously flew the apprentice s which I mastered on experience mode, the umx timber original, the twin otter umx, the champ, and I flew the umx citation a little bit. Do you think I should get the al37? I already bought a livery for it but I don’t know if I should commit to purchasing the airliner along with an nx6, a 6s lipo and a receiver. I have the dx63 but Nx6 is way better from what I’ve heard you say and I like how it talks to you. I really want your opinion. If you don’t think I should get the al37 what’s another plane I should get before I move up to the airliner? I was thinking maybe the viper v2 from fms but I trust your judgement way more than mine.
Hey Ryan! Sounds like you're beginning to gain some good experience. I'd suggest something like the Habu to start before going to the AL-37. Fly it so much that you become tired of it...then consider the AL-37. Just be aware that with the AL-37, if you get slow and keep loading up the wing (aka adding more up elevator and in a turn especially) - it will likely drop a wing. If a wing drops and you pull up or roll opposite of which wing drops, you can guarantee it'll end up in the weeds. Watch our video on stalls for more info on how to approach upset (stall/spin) prevention and recovery. Practice purposely trying to drop a wing a bunch and recovering up high with all your planes including the Habu and I'm sure you'll do well. -Zach
@@TailHeavyProductions Thanks! I was thinking instead of just getting the al37 I would just get the viper v2 because I kinda like how it looks more and it seems beginner friendly
The Viper V2 is not a beginner friendly plane despite what some folks seem to be implying. It also will drop a wing on you. Watch our review on it. I'd suggest the Habu over it. The door will open to buying planes that look good once you master the Habu. 😁
@@TailHeavyProductions ok thanks!
The one from fms or hh?
Whats the best shockflyer i can buy Mr Tailheavy?
We tend to love the Twisted Hobbys line of profile foam/shock flyers. 👍

Highwing Hobby would not approve of you making fun of their twimber.. 😅🤣😂
Day one of asking for a free fun cub og
Lots of different Makers? They all come from the same sweat shop in China.
Im watching this while figuring out why THE FUCK my Autonomous scratchbuild (first Fc build) absolutly fucked itself into the ground. During the "quality components" part I found out my Spectrum servo broke. like, its not that their 10 bucks a piece, like I broke 2 or 3 by now and 6 of the goo' ol' hxt 900 servos cost the same and never broke on me. Fuck this!
This is completly accurate for ESC's though, cheap ones suck.
don't rc people know the world is 3D, kind of pointless to have some category call 3D
gyro required? wtf... ive been out of the hobby for a few years. well, a lot of years. stopped flying when gyros were the new thing. but wtf? are there planes that require one to fly ???

Hi
Hi 👋
Try empennage instead of short tail
You guys man 🤣
Why are F3A pattern planes the ugliest planes around? I'd rather have a Corsair than any pattern plane.
Huh? Are you sure you know what an F3A pattern plane is? I have about 8 F3A pattern planes and they are awesome. I have a 2 BJ Craft Bi Side Biplanes, SebArt Mythos 125, Wind 110 and an Angel 50e and more.
😁👍
I feel so out of touch for scratch building my planes out of balsa and they aren’t miniature versions of full scale planes…
Why? Wood is a composite. It's the lightest & strongest thing available.
😎😎😎😎😎
